I love this boss so much, the voice acting especially, so creepy and twisted. The theme is pretty cool too, and him screaming in agony throughout made me feel a little sad inside. It's a shame you can just muscle through his mechanics on lower difficulties.
The heroic version of the polearm from Spirit Kings is a viable option for Death Knights to tank with. If he hasn't had the normal sha-touched axe drop from Sha of Fear, than the polearm is his next best option.
You dont need to kite him. Tank in the middle and keep 2 dot classes on 2 lanes of adds. This frees up most of the room and takes care of the spread pool problem. This way there are 2 designated areas for pools when you need more stacks. Much cleaner. Also allows for dps to tunnel the boss which usually means higher dps. Gratz on the kill
You guys are awesome! Just one kind of stupid question... how do you zoom out so far? I play a feral druid (so the camera sits a little lower anyways) and even when I'm fully zoomed out it's much closer than that.

My own experience is that barrage is far more effective in pve. Glaive really doesn't do worthwhile damage unless you can line up multiple targets for it, whereas barrage is decent aoe over a wide area anytime there's a decent number of adds.
No they said it correctly. They're saying if u reach 5 stacks of the debuffs as if they were consolidated. You got the harmful version because you already had 2 crit, 1 stat, 1 mastery, and 1 haste which all add up to make 5 stacks when u count the stacks from each debuff together. So when you walked over the last puddle, it counted as a 6th stack.
You have the camera set at max distance? Likely the UI size also has something to do with it, mine is a bit further then this but it can be a pain been so far sometimes.
This fight was nerfed. The reduce damage debuff was 75% when this guide was made, now it's only 35%. Also, most guilds now have a lot more gear and it's now possible to tank-spank and ignore all the mechanics, but this was not possible when the guide was made. With the current debuff and the average ilvl of my guild, dpsers average 100k dps while not fully mutated. So yeah, this has pretty much become the punching bag of TOT as of 5.3.
As of 5.3 it got harder as it is now 35% less dmg rather than 25% before. All other abilities are the same. If you got the dps the zerg tactic is the easiest tactic by far, we one shotted it that way, being a guild that was 2 days on tortos and a week on horridon, that says fair a bit :P.
I think so-- I scroll back as far as I can, but I'll check the settings. I also play on a 14" laptop screen with no addons for UI, so maybe that has something to do with it... thanks!
i think they design a boss before naming it, its abilites, and its buffs or debuffs. then they say oh, look, its like this from here. and BAM theres your refrence.
i think you said smthin wrong about the debuffs you said if for example crit reaches 5 stacks it will turn into harmful version of it but when i actually fought the boss i noticed for example i have 2 crit 1 stat 1 mastery 1 haste and i walk on the puddle i get harmful version of my random buff last time i had 1stack of mastery buff and i got hamrmful version of it that reduced my mastery by 40%
They have an entire video dedicated to their UI. From the look of it, they all use the same addons but have them tweaked differently. For all you lazy people: (This is just the core addons, I think they us some mods to these also) Bartender, OmniCC, Grid, KGpanels, Prat, Quartz, Sexymap, DBM
we just killed with 2 healers 1 attonement priest + shaman trying to get the transform focus on healers it is quite doable... we arent "imba" geared just some old hc pieces and ofc some ToT and lFR loot but it went quite "okay" did it cus the dps probb wouldnt make it on 3m heal.. so might make a note / edit on the vid 2-3 heal not just "3man heal that the end of it YARRR!" ^_^
i love your guides. but my guild literally just tank n spanked this and ignored the bloods. no mutation, everyone made a circled around him in the middle of the room and we stood there and spanked him for 5 minutes straight. easiest. fight. ever.
