I appreciate that all the names are up front on this game. Game Devs deserve to have their names known so we can praise and curse them in equal measure.

Prince of Persia controls have a learning curve, but once you get a hang of it, dying starts to feel like your own fault, rather than the game being unfair. I have fond memories of the MS-DOS version from childhood, and I tried this version some time ago for the first time. It looks and plays like I remember the original, except for one small but annoying detail: they added an animation where prince shakes his head after bumping in walls. My god, that small change kills the pace of the movement so bad. I guess I just need to "git gud" and avoid the walls altogether.

Oof. The opening isn’t buzzy like that. The emulator is making grating audio. And you failed to go west and get the sword. It actually played very well then and now. I think you’re being harsh. The handling is smooth read a guide the controls are precise. If you hold B you can grab ledges even from a jump. You can walk not run. You can step to an edge and even turn to hang and drop. It all works smoothly once you know what B&A do. It’s the same game on GBC too only adding a well colorized nicely mode.

Well, I mean it's precise, but it's not like a Metroid or Mario platformer. These types of games (this, another world, etc...) plod a bit, and have unforgiving mechanics that can feel tough to get around. A great port of a game that not everyone will love. I feel like it is a memorization torture machine myself. Kid me would've loved it, adult me doesn't have the time anymore.

Like I said, the game itself isn't bad, it's just not my kind of game in the least.

I feel like Brian may have edited around some cursing. Let's go back to the fight... goes down a pit and is stabbed to death... Pause... Keeps going with review.
