When Mr. Laurence married into the RF he was about the same age as Meghan. Yet he has made NO fuss and has an impeccable character. Truly a remarkable gentleman.
If yo had been as badly treated as Meghan was by the hateful British press, you would have been upset as well. Harry was upset because he remembered how badly his mother Diana was treated.
I don't think Meghan was badly treated - on the contrary. And she was warned about marrying Harry. Had anyone DARED to mention that an american divorced mixed-race actress and feminist PERHAPS wasn't the best match for a monarchy, they would have been accused of all sorts of things. Now it seems like they had a point.
I know this is probably gonna annoy some people but Princess Anne has done more for this country with her hard work and never complaining and mostly without ceremony than anyone . Probably only second to her Majesty our glorious Queen. Xxxxx
True I like princess Anne. She could also make a great Queen imo. Still doesn't change the fact that this family are free loaders who have lived on the backs of hard working people. Look how bad the state of the economy is, do they feel it? No, they probably had duck for dinner and peasants couldn't even afford a meal for the day. Yes, the rf brings in revenue but they could give back some of their billions back to the people. They also own majority of the land in the UK. Honestly, it's ludicrous.
@@Marie0575 it is not the Royal Family who decides the economical situation of the UK, it is the Tory government . Read the book Diaries of a MP wife , you will see who is the real elite
What a treasure trove of remembrance: The Queen, Prince Philip, The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, and Ann's brothers Charles, Andrew, and Edward. All were wreathed in smiles.
I think yes it fits her personality but they also wouldn’t let her remarry in the Church of England because she was divorced. Her first marriage was huge
True I never knew princess Ann was so simple in a nice way , hard working and so close to her mom the queen 😇 is going to be hard losing her mom ,also for Sophie of wessex
Unlike how she was at Harry's wedding where she had a look of dislike. No doubt right from the beginning she didn't approve of Harry marrying a woman below their standards.
It was her second wedding, that's why it was more low key. Also Anne being Anne, she is not into all that jazz. Her first wedding was bigger and at Westminster Abbey
After watching the royal family these past 2 weeks, I can say the one that impressed me the most was Timothy. Anne's husband. Such grace honour and poise. He did Anne and the Queen very proud. Same at Phillips's funeral too. Just his presence....beautiful
Princess Royal Anne should have been queen. She is like her mother the Queen: highly intelligent, hardworking, wise, classy, her manners are regal, pragmatic. Her service to the country invaluable
She would be so much better than Charles (& Camilla🤢)Why couldn’t he do what is best for the monarchy & allow William to take the position instead?? He & Kate would represent the UK so much better!🤔
Hearing how good a queen Anne would have been makes me think of the line from the movie the Ten Commandments (1955) by Ramses father “the man best able to rule Egypt shall follow me. I owe that to my fathers, not to my sons.”
I loved the fact the the queen was always looking after her mother and sister to the end! The queen mother may not have been queen anymore but the Queen made sure she was still treated like one! I loved the simplicity of this wedding! Just like Anne herself! This is the reason I love RU-vid you can look back on the happy times!
A very beautiful day, Princess Anne rolling up in the front seat of a landrover, all the family gathered, and then the bride and groom and their family driving themselves home after. What a lovely looking affair!
After all the Queen suffered in that particular year it's wonderful to see her at this joyful event to lift the gloom. She looked so pleased for the Princess Royal on this happy day.
I love the Princess Royal, she just rocks up in the front seat of a LandRover to her wedding. For the life she has had, she seems pretty down to Earth.
I didn't know they have been married nearly 30 years now. After this week, he has certainly shown how devoted he is to Anne and her duty to her mother. What a wonderful son-in-law and support for his wife. She must be absolutely gutted about now, and it still isn't over.
Me neither. For some reason I thought this was a "later in life" marriage, like they got together in their late 50s. I didn't realize they'd been together this long.
I've always wondered why The Princess Royal never cut her hair at her age. Sir Timothy apparently loves her hair long and she made a promise to him that she'd never cut it for him. That is so beautiful and romantic! Yes, he is very devoted to Princess Anne and was to The Queen!🥰🇬🇧🇨🇦
Wow I've been married for 30 years that's true love I think she's happy with her second husband cuz he love her very much and he she loves him too congratulations to your 30 years together
@@angelajames6460 I like the second wedding better simple and beautiful and look like she was very happy on that day over second wedding she was beautiful and her husband was handsome this marriage last the longest 30 years that's a long time to be together but she's they're happy together and they love each other deeply
They were waiting for the scramble of coins. I hope they got a few coins they will never forget the Queen chatting to them. The scramble at Scottish weddings is a custom.
i find a new appreciation for Princess Anne..amazing Down to Earth Women...what bride rocks up in an SUV..opens the car door herself and keeps her special day low key...Princess Anne...amazing no fuss just a day to celebrate her union being surrounded with those she loves most..Awesome footage
Their's is now the longest marriage of any of the late Queen's children. Imho its been a great match and the love and support they have for each other has been to the for this past week following the death of Queen Elizabeth. Tim has been by Anne's side every step of the way.
Simple wedding and a long lasting one at that; some of us need to take a 📝 from their book.. no fuss and extravaganza.......30years come this December. Beautiful....
This was a beautiful wedding. Far more meaningful than the previous event. THIS is why their marriage has sustained the test of time. Congratulations to the bride and groom, and the entire Royal family. PS: if Princess Diana had been there, there would have been a mob of people.
P.S. Anne was cheating on her 1st husband with this guy. It was all over the news how her brief case was stolen and it contained love letters from Tim Laurence to her while she was married to Mark Phillips.
@@helenprince1420 Her first husband cheated on her endlessly and even had a child with another woman. So after years of being cheated on, she also found herself somebody else - so what?
This brings back memories of my own wedding, in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, in 1974, minus the royal family, of course. Lovely to see them all in a more casual setting.
A low-key affair, no stress, just happiness to be together. So different from the big shows of other royal weddings, including princess Anne's first one. Good to see Princess Margaret and Queen Mum :) .
@@lsmith9249 You just must find reasons to turn a small, private family joyous occasion into a controversy. It takes a special kind of person to be so negative that you can’t distinguish a private family wedding and a state occasion wedding! Princess Anne had already had the large extravagant wedding and she recognized that having a large extravagant wedding for a second marriage would have been in poor taste, regardless of whether she was a member of the royal family or not! You are familiar with the concept of good taste vs poor taste, I hope!
@@jacquelinebarber-dixon5316 and how have l done that, l haven't said that it should have been a semi state occasion, which she wasn't entitled to anyway l stated a fact, at that time she couldn't get married in England the kirk in Scotland had different rules, had it been the same here she would have been married in England and l have stated elsewhere on here that it was a small family wedding which some of our royal family do have
What a relief her second wedding service and setting must have been for the Princess Royal, compared to the immense production the first one was! I’m not knocking it in any way, bc it was a gorgeous and fitting celebration for the whole family of Great Britain. I know that individual members of the Royal Family often make loud statements about their real feelings about things without saying one word, and this is obviously one of those occasions! I really hope this couple continue to be happy together after all of these years!
Love this. It made it look like the Queen was driving as she was known to be a fast driver.😂 Love how Andrew made sure his grandmother had a step to disembark. Love seeing Princess Margaret too. Great seeing Princess Ann look so happy after seeing her so sad the past 10 days. 👍
Thank you for uploading this valuable footage, allowing many of us to watch this praiseworthy royal event. My respect and admiration to Princess Ann, as well as my best wishes of a long life in love for her and her husband. I love the elegance and modesty displayed by all attending the wedding.
I love this and especially our late Queen at the end talking to the schoolchildren who had waited in the cold. She said isntbit your play next week? And how she wished she would still be up there so she didnt miss it. A true Queen of her United Kingdom 🇬🇧 ❤
I remember watching Princess Anne’s first wedding and thinking how beautiful it was. At that time we did not get much news here in the USA from England, so I had no idea that her marriage to Mark Phillips was such a disaster and that he was such a womanizer! I’m really glad that she and Tim Lawrence found each other and were married. It’s wild looking at these photos and seeing the younger Princess Margaret and the younger Queen Mother. Even Harry and William… I’m glad that Tim and Anne are so happy together!
So Tim ( the groom ) looked a bit nervous at the first. Then when they came out at the end he almost got her attention to stand still for a picture. She seemed overly concerned with Zara. Not sure I saw Peter, was he wearing a kilt? At least a good additude going into marriage...when she got in the car, put her seatbelt on and then rubbed her hands together ❤ to say right that's done now on with married life! Hahaha ❤
She was probably feeling a bit chilly - December, Scotland...standing around for photos.. hence rubbing her hands for warmth. Wishing the Princess Royal and her husband a very happy 30th anniversary for 12 December 2022.
Way to go Princess Anne. I like your grace and independence. Your long lived marriage shows you are happily married the second time around. The way you did the second marriage shows you don’t ask anyone for a darn thing. I like it.
Thank you so much for this. I’ve only seen the odd picture of Anne & Tim’s Wedding, so to not only find this, but on the day of Her Majesty The Queen’s Funeral? It just makes it equally special. Am I remembering right that this took place at Canongate Kirk? If so, then like Mother, like Daughter, as that’s where Zara married Mike Tindall in 2011. Anyway...Thank you so much again for uploading this & sharing it w/us. I feel this was far more the kind of Wedding Anne had wanted the first time as well. No fuss, no muss, no ceremony other than the Wedding. Perfect for a no fuss Princess who adores Scotland. 😊 Take Care!! 😊
If princess anne born first and rule allowed her to become queen , england definitely have another queen elizabeth ii .princess anne has the capacity and will make an amazing queen ❤
Anne really? Pulled up in a SUV in the front seat with her dad let herself out, walked into her wedding as if going into a store. Off the charts! Her wedding suit and hair dressing was nice though. I know nothing about her but this clip shows a bit about her uniqueness.
I am an American, and I began taking an interest in the Royal Family back in 1981 because of all the press coverage surrounding the Royal Wedding. I agree with many here, that Princess Anne would have made a great Queen. From the little I have seen and read, Princess Anne has more involvement with people than the others. The was an average I read somewhere about how many day a year she is/was on the road, out there meeting with the public. I couldn’t keep that schedule and pace and she’s older than me.
