That 130TC Abarth 😍😍 My dad had a B reg strada 85 super and I LOVED it. A 130TC is like unicorn car for me now... weirdly if I came into money this would be the car I'd want, not some crazy supercar.
I live in the USA and hardly anyone here knows what a Lancia is, let alone a Delta. I saw one once and I was with my girlfriend and some friends and I became ecstatic, pointing and yelling. They didn't even understand. I'd truly love to have a 037 Stradale or a Stratos, but a Delta would do just as well :) Also, I'm not a huge VW fan, but the Corrado has always been my favorite. VR6 in paticular.
You got to drive the Lancia Beta🙏 rare as hens teeth, this gentleman has got every car in his collection that i either had one in my early days or dreamed of having one, the Beta Volumex was always top of my wish list, what a superb collection 👏
What an amazing collection of special cars. The final three - Lancia, Fiat, Lancia - are in my dreams. And credit to Mark for being so gracious to name-check people who have helped in restoration and maintenance. Some of these are truly a group effort, I imagine. What a marvelous collection of European cars. I am quite surprised that a retired law enforcement officer has the financial means to buy all these beautiful cars. I have lusted over an Integrale for years but there's no way I can ever afford one. I have a BMW M2 and that's my only car at age 82. My vote is for the 130TC - I test drove one of those in my youth here in NZ and was totally blown away by it's performance and road holding. I would be interested In Jonny's opinion of one now.
@@dominicwood3750 Faster than the 8v but not the 16v, My mate had the 130TC and I had the MK2 GTI 16v. I loved those days, glad I kept my yellow Corrado G60 Lol....
What an awesome collection! Since Harry Metcalfe already did a great review on the Beta and there is well enough on Integrales on youtube, my vote is for the 130 TC!
My pick also, you see stuff on all the others regularly but a Strada Abarth 130 is a rare animal. I bet it sounds great snorting through them twin carbs
Certainly not the quickest car in his collection, but I love that Italia 90 Panda. Great little touches with the football alloys, wonderful cushions on the back seats, etc
One of the best collections I’ve ever seen. Sold my 130TC a few years ago and wish I’d been able to keep it - with that in mind Jonny you should definitely drive the Strada…👍🏻
Great chat , great collection, great bloke . Nice to see he actually uses the cars regularly and that aren't just museum pieces, and he's doesn't seem that arsed about them being pristine 24/7 which I think is what it's all about . Love it . 👊

Great stuff Mark and what a collection. I may be biased though because I was born in Nott'm. 68 years ago. The best bit is that , yes, he's got a GT4 Cayman but, his obvious passion is the rest of the collection.

Another brilliant episode ! I’ve always loved the 130tc , I remember it featured in a hot hatch test in Fast Lane magazine . I liked the fact it still had twin carbs rather than injection , they sounded superb . Drive the Strada !
This is a real car collection. Proper cars from the era when things weren't always the best in build quality but they were built with one thing in mind. Fabulous collection. As for which to drive, any of them coz they are all good.
Jonny, don’t drive the grale, you might not be able to give it back! You’ve got to take that Sisley up a very steep hill, followed by the Scooby. Then a French triple with the 5 turbo, 205 and Williams. I have so much want for that Williams (despite having a grale for years). Finally, the Strada and that fantastic Stratton volumex. A long list, but I know you can make it happen
I love this collection! Just shows you can have a collection of interesting, super rare, beautiful to drive and look at cars without spending over 100k per piece! I love these kind of things...
I think this is one of the best car cave videos so far. Great guy and fabulous collection so much closer to the sort of thing I would aspire to than some. Either or both Lancia would be on my drive list!
Choose the Lancia Beta coupe Volumex for a test drive, so rare, being able to test drive it once in my mechanics time long ago, still stands out to me as a great experience. This collection is close to what my collection would look like.

This takes me back to my youth, Chelsea cruise, Southend, Dartford one way, Castle combe. Had Fiesta XR2i 1900 conversion with diesel gear box. Mates had Fiat Uno Turbo, Renault 5 GT Turbo, Escort RS2000 MKII , Sapphire Cosworth, Nissan Pulsar GTR, Astra GTE, Rover 220 Turbo, Escort RS Turbo, Renault 11 turbo, VW corrado G60. Those were the days!
I want the Williams from that collection as a former 16v 447 sport blue owner. Bloody thing was insane, throw into corners and it cocked a rear wheel and just went round it. Loved it. Sold it for £500 about 20 years ago and now they're harder to find than Williams are.
Had a Beta Coupe, Abarth 130TC, Delta HF Turbo in my 20s all great fun but tbh were pretty tired when I bought them at 3 or 4 years old. These cars are in truely amazing condition, great video apart from no driving
What a great guy and what a collection. Mark could probably afford a couple of supercars - I know the GT4 is borderline that - but instead he has a THE dream, a 20 odd car garage and what a great taste. You cannot go wrong with 80 and 90s people's heroes cars, particularly the Italian and French metal. He just needs an Alfa there. By the way Johnny, drive the Corrado or the Beta VX 😎
You've got to drive the Ritmo/Strada Abarth, better than the Mk1 Golf GTi. Very torquey, equal lenth driveshafts and independen rear suspension (struts and a transverse leafspring with huge droop travel). There were at one stage plans for a 170TC with the Abarth 16 Valve head.
Great show I ran an abarth 130 tc for 7 years the one mod I did was change the fifth gear to give it longer legs, I saw 145 with 4 petrol heads they were impressed , the gear change was so easy, passenger wheel off unbolt the end cover off the ZF box swap gears took less than 2 hr, highly recommended effort, although it’s power was not very high the power bands were relentless that ZF box was perfect match, in the right gear when floored would get from 50 to 70 quicker than a 911 of the day, in 7 years I drive it never had another hot hatch come close to beating it to its top speed, it would push into the seat through every gear, until I did the fifth gear mod that would push with a healthy determination to 145 loaded or not, it’s beast waiting to be blown , the power weight ratio is 178 hp per ton std same as a 911 of the day in 1985, when I was looking for a hot hatch i test drove many the golf new 16v was just out nicely finished good performance, put that abarth was pure fun once you have floored it and pushed through that box with no torque steer at all unlike all other hatch backs of the day you have to have it, this is a very cool collection 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
What a wonderful and diverse collection. I’d love to see you drive the Beta. They are quite rare over here, especially as anything other than rust buckets, but I’ve long had a soft spot for them 😊
Thank you. I literally cried with a kind of nostalgia induced appreciation of all I love about cars and driving at seeing this. I learnt to drive in a Mini Clubman truck (with 1275/Cooper running gear iirc), the first car I overtook something in was a somewhat race prepped gen 2 Strada Abarth, I was a passenger on a circa 1000km overnight drive in a beta volumex (though not the coupe), the first car I owned was a Mica Black Lancia Delta Evo II, and work supplied me with a very hot Impreza (a P1) at about the same time (I gave it back because it was dangerously silly and too much like the Delta to need both). Thank you to my grandfather for giving me the bug, and Mark for sharing his. My automotive life in 34 minutes. As to which to drive - drive the one you have never driven first (because you may never get the chance again) and after that the Williams, VX and Delta will all be sublime. Another angle to consider: VX, Strada, Delta would be interesting to 'feel' the evolution of the marque.
My Dad's friend had a Strada Abath in the 80s took me and him for a drive in it and was impressed as he threw it around at great speed. Drive the Subaru and the clio

There was a time in my life where I lusted after Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Now I am older and mellower, this is pretty close to my lottery win collection. Add some 80s JDM and a GTI and this would be perfect. Thank you

Best car cave ever, by a mile, not even close. This copper has nicked my taste in cars. Any of those would be great to drive but my favorites are the 205 GTI and Intergrale.
I see the comments below the line saying best show so far, etc, etc, and it has made me think that I have watched virtually all the barn finds, car cave videos and cannot think of one that has been a dud or an owner that I have taken a dislike to. I have loved them all. Each one must be a difficult act to follow though!!. Williams gets my vote as well as Mark's I would imagine judging by his comment
What a great mix of cars. I honestly couldn't make a suggestion of which to drive, there are too many good cars to chose from for so many different reasons. Whichever it is I am sure it will be another great video.
We had a B reg Strada - just a 60CL, but the same front as that Abarth. It wasn't the most reliable but the seats were incredibly comfortable. We scrapped it in the late 90s as it rusted badly. The Strada was the first robot-produced car in Italy and caused a lot of strikes in Fiat!

If I was you, I'd seek out an rb26 powered 260z being built at the moment and just admire the work/hours being put into it! You'll also see a nice little 1990 jetta GL 😉 lol
Best Collection so far! I dreamed of owning a Williams....probably a blessing I didn't get one, I blew the Gearbox up on my 16V Clio in 2003, I was racing a Saxo VTS on the M54 😅. I couldn't afford to fix it!
When I was at university in the mid-80s, one of the foreign students owned a modified Lancia Delta, complete with body kit. Similar colour to Audi’s Daytona Grey. I remember physically aching for that car. It was cool, fast & dead sexy from every angle. Another foreign student owned a Porsche 944 & yet another an early Range Rover in fluo orange. Fun times.
Fantastic collection!!! Saw that Subaru at the Silverstone Classic Auctiones so it's great to see where it ended up. I think Johnny should return to drive the Lancia Integrale.
Oh my days, I had an early 130tc back in ‘93 (B515 VBX) in red with solex carbs, ZF box, crazy Recaro’s & IIRC a transverse rear leaf spring. I think there were 705 sold in the UK, strangely a guy in my town had a D reg one at the same time though we never spoke. Amongst many hot hatches including 309GTI’s, Charade GTti’s I also had an R5 Raider. What a collection, you need to drive that Strada no question, & the Raider 😎
