Don't feel great knowing younger people (I'm guessing you're about the same age as me) with talent will get together with their mates & perform tu genuinely rock out and entertain? If you look at the media, you'd think everyone under 35 was just a drone. My faith in humanity is being restored
The Big Push are all singers, writers and guitarists. They put a twist on covers and certainly get the crowd going. Ren, Romain (in the dress) and Gorran rock!! Also check out Brighton beach buskers where they and others play. House of the rising sun with Gorran and Romain is cool.
@@michaelgoyettemusic Romain Axisa was the guitar soloist. He releases solo music and actually released a guitar instrumental 2 weeks ago called 75 Beats Per Minute. The Big Push also has it's own Page. They have original music in addition to covers. You were right about Reggae being in their wheelhouse. One of my favorite covers by The Big Push is a mix of I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop.

There I Shot the Sheriff mix is fabulous, Ren can do everything with amazing style. Rens retakes are fantastic and What you Want is jaw dropping, the Ren rabbit hole is huge and unbelievably diverse.
As other people have said the Left Arrow key to go back 5 seconds and Right Arrow key to go forward 5 seconds. *BUT* you can use the "L" key to go back 10 seconds and the "J" key to go forward 10 seconds. Awesome reaction bro I subbed..
Yea! @TheBigPushBand has a channel. I especially enjoy their covers of Bongo Bong and Englishman in New York, but it's all great. If you haven't seen The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full), check that out.
Thanks so much for answering my question! I have seen the Tales trilogy and I loved them….I have noticed some things about the guitar parts that others haven’t discussed so I may do a breakdown but I can’t react unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion….I will have a look at your others.
Love the Big Push so glad when I see them get some exposure especially from other Musicians who can appreciate their talents, they are all amazing, but Ren is a different level he’s multitalented and plays many instruments to a high level, the energy in their Live performances is always Beautiful to watch, if you want to hear one of their original songs try, The Big Push - Watch Out (live busking), thanks for your reaction Sir.
My favorite cover from The Big Push busking. Do love their renditions of Englishman in NY, Bongo Bong and Praise You though. Ren is definitely multi-talented in many genres. Even plays the piano.

The Big Push make each cover not only their own but dare I say even better than the original. Lots of retro stuff brought into the postmodern. Here in England we love alternative sounds.

I do both depending on who I’m playing with and what suits the situation….there’s a confidence in repetition but spontaneity is appealing at times too.

@@michaelgoyettemusic I am currently trying to play acoustic guitar mixed with rhythm on the guitar body, natural harmonics, artificial harmonics and finger pick style. (And sometimes fret tapping) I think that is the most difficult music experiment I have ever chosen to participate in. That is such an absurdly challenging style.
To go back a few seconds...On your keyboard, usually at the lower right, there are four arrow keys. The left arrow will do what you want. If the video is playing, the left arrow will set it back a few seconds and continue playing from there. Hitting multiple left arrows will back up multiple times. The space bar starts and stops the video. If the video is stopped, the left arrow will still backtrack, but the video will not start to play from its new backtracked position unless you start it again hth
Try i shot the sheriff/zion rd/ hip hop next and you might like chalk outlines. Also walking on the moon. Ren can do anything though. Not just reggae like you guessed.

I'm interested in what you think of Ren's playing in "Roadhouse Blues! Epic cover by The Big Push band busking in Brighton Ship Street." (The BP has two versions of this song, but this performance is much more interesting.) While still probably a Hard Rock interpretation, Ren's guitar playing here is so original that it places the performance into its own genre. The live sound quality is unbalanced, but the guitar comes through clearly.
To be honest he didn’t seem to like the song much…..what he did felt a little like a fuck you to the original….but there’s layers…..he wasn’t disrespectful because Goran looks like he loves this song….I feel like the only reason he played it was because he loves his friend…..I’m also not a huge fan of whammy pedals with the exception of Tom Morello….I tend to try to focus on things I like vs don’t like for my own enjoyment reasons so that’s why I didn’t discuss it….but you asked…..at the same time I could see how someone without my prejudice to that pedal could think it was dope…..know that I love Rens guitar playing….he gets me 99% of the time. That’s better than most!! I respect his sense of adventure as well.

@@michaelgoyettemusic No offence was taken. We all have different tastes. Not being a muso, the overarching criterion for me, when watching these busking videos, is the answer to the question "Would I have liked to have been in that street crowd, sharing in the group experience?" If the answer is "yes", I'd consider it a good use of my time. There's something special about the public sharing of a life-affirming experience - it enhances the feeling of shared humanity with others, even if only for a little while.
@@michaelgoyettemusic I really like Ren and Sam Tompkins covering Earned It/Man's World/Falling, and Ren with The Big Push covering I Shot The Sheriff. His trilogy of videos entitled The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full) shows his unique way of using his guitar as one of the voices telling a story.

The Big Push could have definitely done with someone like you for guidance when recording their original material. None of this energy, creativity and sound comes through their original songs, which is a real shame considering how talented they all are. It just ended up being a great live 'cover' band with no good songs of their own. A producer could have helped immensely in that department. With Ren now taking off solo, I doubt the band will get back together.
I would’ve jumped at the chance to work with them! The energy is intense. I just heard Watch Out…..I liked it but it wasn’t as great as some of their covers.
Ya, they started with warpigs, then they went to killing on the name of RageAgainsttheMachine, then they did paranoid, went to war pigs and ended with RAM. So that is what art and music creation is about , put your creativity to create something diferent that sounds fire, and have fun with it.
