So, here is my issue - the Singer Song Writer template does not open with Groovecell as the default for drums. The moment I change the input to Groovecell, I can’t hear the docked MIDI at all- what am I overlooking?
Hello, I don't the "getting started" and/or the "beats template" I can only see "drums and bass" template hen choosing "create from template" in the initial screen, any help you can provide?
I must be missing something, because I write out this midi drum part, but when I hit play, it plays what I wrote plus some other beat that’s already in the plug-in. How do I get it to play only what I wrote?
I don't know if it's too late haha but I've just had this. If you open up the GrooveCell plugin there should be a little power button next to something called "sequencer". Make sure that is off and you should be good to go!
I may sound like a moron, but I just downloaded Pro tools Intro to have a taste of this DAW. I started with DP 4.5 and then move on to Logic which it was my DAW of choice for many years until things started not working properly and constant crashing, so then I move on to Cubase which it has been working good although certain things I do not fully understand. Out of curiosity I decided to download Pro Tools, even though I read some negative comments about Pro Tools. I will say this, I have never heard my old time keyboard Yamaha S90ES sounding the way it sounds in any of the DAW's I previously worked on, like I now hear in Pro Tools. The only thing I dislike is the subscription part but in terms of the quality of the sounds to my vocals and instruments as well, I now understand why this is the number one choice for professionals recording studios. I don't know what is under the whole foundation of this DAW but it sounds good.
These are a great series of videos! However, while I understand these are for beginners, it’s a slow and painful way to create even the mot basic drum patterns by manually mousing them in. I would think most who are new to this would be unto using a midi controller or at the very least, the built in virtual keyboard. Just an observation
Hello, it look fabulous thanks, maybe you can help me... I have a korg Nautilus and I record MIDI like 9 Month ago on a one time basis, it communicated well in protools. But now after leaving music for a while I can't connect the MIDI even do it does show on my MIDI devises and record is set, Is not recording anything... Wonder what I did before... thank you in advance
There Should Be MIDI Generators (arpeggio.Random,Chords ........and so on ) So you don't have to Do all that Manuel Labor All other DAWs Have them ALL OTHER DAWS HAVE THEM all other DAWS allow you to lock MIDI into a Key and Have Ghost tracks so you can trace notes on the piano roll small things like this makes people jump ship because pro tool users are falling behind standards Avid has to do better i have to buy a bunch of third party plugins to do what comes with other DAWS
Are these tutorials still valid today 2023 or did the program change a lot under all these years so I wont recognize anything when I start up the latest version on my computer now ?
This is absolutly the most frustrating and demoralizing thing i have ever put effort into. I bought protools artist back in sept but my i did not have the groove cell in it. now I spent 2 hrs trying to get that in, now that i have it i could not hear the beats in the midi editor, spent another hr figuring that out, and now that I have sound there is other beats being played on my track and I have no idea where the hell they are coming from????????? you guys really need to get some real proper training vids for newbies. I hate this program but i paid for it so i have to learn but you guys are of no help
Pro tools is so annoying. Everything seems to be working against me here. When I change velocities it doesn't work, can't get the metronome to act properly. All the plug ins that come with it suck. So not user friendly. Might delete and download something else. Waste of 100 bux
