Good afternoon! I have been dealing with vertigo for almost 20 years. It started when I was on maternity leave. I was laying on the couch reading and I became very dizzy. Four ENT doctors, one Neurologist, and one Physical Therapist later hasn’t resulted in much. In September 2022 I had the worst vertigo ever in all this time. It lasted a week. I mean true vertigo!! I was desperate for help. I saw a PT two days that week. The first day was horrible. The second day I felt much better. Still yet, the vertigo spells occur when rolling over in bed, turning my head quickly, looking up, and having my head in a looking down position for long periods. It’s hard to position my neck while sleeping. Of course this causes me to not sleep because I’m anxious about sleeping wrong and waking up with vertigo. I do have a bulging disk at L5-S1 that was discovered in 2005. I had a Microdiscectomy at L5-S1 in 2019 for a trapped sciatic nerve. Years ago I had a Dix-Hallpike Test that revealed BPPV. The PT did the Dix-Hallpike Test again back in September and the left side was worse than the right. I have had multiple Epley Maneuvers performed with some relief. After all this being said….HELP!!! Do you think a Corrective Chiropractor could help me? Sorry for the long post.

Ive been dealing with vértigo for 3 years. been to 2 ENTs and they cant find anything. I think the part of the spine that you mentioned might be it. Ive been struggling with the back of my neck hurting and right shoulder so it would make sense

I don’t have vertigo or dizzy… however, I feel lightheaded, swaying feeling like if I’m on a boat when I’m laying down walking or sitting… legs feel heavy… my doctor told me it was my anxiety… I’m a mess I’ve done vestibular therapy and nothing 😢😞 back hurts… I might have to check this place out… my chiropractor hasn’t helped much either… I notice one eye is a little more blurry than the other one

Hey Doc, not sure if you still check these comments but I’m struggling recovering from a vertigo episode that started 10 days ago, lasted about 2 days but after doing the manouvers and seemingly being done with it. It came back in a slight way. Long story short. I only get dizzy when I move my head backwards either to lay down, or if I am lifting my head and it lags behind a little. I know you mentioned possible reasons being pinched vertebrae in the neck. Any other reasons why this would be the ONLY trigger? I’m fine throughout the day. I can turn left and right, it’s just when I go backwards to lay down

So I was just recently told from a ent that it was bcuz of my neck ,I think she said cervical vertigo. So is this considered bppv, I am working with a chiropractor and I was definitely out of line. Spine and neck. It has helped some. Will it ever get fully better. Thank you

I dont have the spins any more I some times feel off balance....i feel some of the time feeling like I'm drunk....i only drink water....i did the excerise with the chair with the back on it....its helped But sometimes I feel real wobbly when I walk....

I had a lcervicall amanectomy in 1992 from the c2 down to c7 its curving at the top at my neck looks awful i also have very bad tmj as i was hit from behind 2 times in car accidents after my surgery i was on meds but they stiopped helping but i am falling all over the place my ears hurt when i wake up I am 66 female its unbarable i can't go anywhere

I only have virtigo when i turn on my left side in bed, i just had radio frequency lesioning on spine nerves and wondering if that could have triggered the virtigo.. sometimes i do feel a little light headed when bending over but not much.

I think I have vertigo, I have not been diagnosed. I am off balance, if I am on someone's deck or my own, and move toward the rail I feel like Im going to go over. My legs feel heavy, and lightheadedness is prevalent. Any help would be a blessing. Thanks

I don't feel like spinning but I kind of feel off balance and heavy headed. It gets better when I lie down. I've tried all different sorts of manoeuvres from last 16 days but they don't always help. I'm not able to understand if this is actually bppv or something else. Is this feeling of walking in a moving train or bus normal a few days after bppv? I never had nystagmus or very severe vertigo. I always had mild symptoms. Please help me. EDIT: 28TH AUGUST I am getting better and I'm sure so will you

@@nancollins7775 oh no ): I first got it two weeks ago I'm on my 3rd going on my 4th. Started off really bad I couldn't walk but it's getting a bit better... I've been trying the BPPV exercises and they somewhat work. I hope it gets better for you
