It amazes me how a black person says something and it is taken as fact right away. Black people can be racist too.

How about the min being a racist?

Sounds like much ado about not much. eNCA are quick to pursue the racism narrative and beat up on a competing channel even though they admit they don't know all the facts of the case and Supersport says it wasn't about race. The sports minister, eNCA and anyone else pursuing the racism narrative is just inflaming the subject. Desai is right that there's not enough dialogue - there's not enough dialogue about quotas in rugby, there've been undeserving black players (not Willemse he was pretty good) thrown into the Springbok line-up for years now. Nobody says anything about this for fear of being labelled racist. We all want diverse national teams but we also don't want to underperform. Willemse took offence at something said off camera. You could say it's brave for him to walk off a live set but you could also say a bit unprofessional, an intentional move to embarrass the other presenters and Supersport. In the end of the day Supersport has to sort things out internally. Imho Willemse was not always the best commentator, sometimes going on long speeches and not always with such great English skills. It's very dramatic and entertaining for us all to start guessing what happened behind the scenes but it doesn't really help. Let Supersport sort it out and let's move on.

What is obvious that there is an issue with the diverse people of SA. Whether this is race or socio economic, I dont know but there is definitely an issue. Sport in SA is generally very bias towards whites in SA. Some will say its been 20 years and so on and the non-whites have had enough of time to sort themselves out. As I said I dont know. Maybe there's knowledge of know-how and processes and sponsors thats being kept to a select few. How does one even go about becoming a pro sportsman?? if the talent is seen in what was non-white schools etc. There's alot more questions than answers. @AshwinDesai #AshwinDesai - you knew my grand father, Mr George Singh, he fought for equal opportunity in the sporting world and stopped a few fixtures from being held in SA. All I know is that there is a loop hole in the system and from Willemse to even Botha and Mallet who represent various groups, its becoming frustrating for all people of SA.

Why did Ashwell not take up the matter with SuperSport ? Are SuperSport happy to allow personal outbursts on national TV? Does SuperSport permit presenters to walk off when they feel like it? This incident was nothing but very bad behaviour. It was a show of total disrespect from Ashwill to SuperSport, by walking out. There should be a mandate in place for the code of conduct for presenters. If SuperSport cannot control their presenters then they should get into the entertainment business, where their presenters can perform. SuperSport, rather get your house in order and let's get back to rugby.

WTF... Why has Willemse not just come out and explain his walkout. Why all this terribly devise speculation from would be phycologist which has absolutely no authority on the psyche of Willemse? Why, yet again, give a platform to people intent on screaming, knowing that they are dishonest in their rhetoric, racism in the face of a flat out denial that any racism was the route cause of Willemse's frustration by authoritative individuals from Supersport. Why look for excuses to implement a racially representative selection criteria? Just fucking do it already. Fire Naas and Mallet for all I care. You have already labelled all White South Africans racists in any case. It really matters not what we do or say. You need no reason to for getting rid of us. You have the power to do so and the apparent support of about 40million of our countrymen, and more importantly, the political will for it. If you want an all black rugby team just select black players already and quite wining like girls about not getting respect. You need no respect. You will probably get none, at least not at first. If Japan can win South Africa, surely, in time, a South African all black squad will be able to perform at least on international standards, perhaps sooner than expected. I believe there should be talent in the pool of young black players and with the quality couching we have it does not seem an insurmountable feat. Hove the courage of your convictions and just do it already. We cannot stop you. I don't even think we should try anymore. Whatever you guys do... just stop thinking that we can prevent a transformation on any level of South African society. Whatever you do, keep your noses clean, take care of your own, do your best and hope to God that your children will have a home not made of square tubing cladded with corrugated iron sheets and held together with thin leftover strips of iron wire.

If I had to walk out of every job where I felt people were looking down on me I would been a hobo a long time ago. Work hard do your job right and you will soon realise those trying to look down on you cannot do so because you will rise above them. This is basic. Always being late, not being prepared letting other people do your work and you take the glory, well of course they have full right to look down on you! This has NOTHING to do with colour and if you dare to suggest that a certain group of people gets up to where they are just because of their skin colour makes you a racist. Please listen to how Thomas Sowell and Ben Carson etc got to the heights they now occupy why don't you? Especially their school and varsity years instead of pulling liberal feelings crapola out your bum. End product of this farce on Supersport is people storming out of meetings and work situations like spoilt children. Remove all blanco people everywhere then. It will just be a case of rising above it all again. What then murder all the blancos? Well then there would be no one left to blame except that once in 1652 there were blancos here that must carry the blame.
