While filling the form i remember you had mentioned in your video that it is not mandatory to have lead projects or be in a pm role, we might be part of the project team as well , which also counts
Yes, you might not be a PM on paper but as long as you have led the roles & responsibilities of a PM, that's fine. A lot of time, project support offices, associate PMs or Design Engineers do lead sub-scopes of a project independently.
Cant agree Mr. Roy. It doesn't say that a project must be delivered by a certified person. It doesn't say that a project must only be run by an experienced individual. It doesn't say that a project must be of a certain size in order to be considered a project. And it doesn't make any assertions about the origins of the project, or who is qualified to commission a project.
Hi Ray, it will be very insightful if you make a separate elaborate video on the PM interview Matters most, Matter less topic. Not only for interview purpose, but it will help also for exam perspective. thanks
I am a PMP Certified project manager, and I have both led and directed projects in my career as well as I have requisite or relevant verifiable experience as a project leader or in charge. As far as interviews and job applications are concerned I have faced and seen a lot of nepotism, undue favoritism and unfair employment practices where worthy candidates do not get even absorbed in the company despite there being enough PMP opportunities. I see that it's just not the two factors that matter most nowadays, but if there are good political and employment connections high up in the employer companies like if someone knows anyone very close in the company like a relative or so, he or she can easily get the job. It is definitely something on the lines of nepotism that nobody talks about, but yes, it exists, and we as responsible citizens can not do anything about it. I am still, in fact, searching for a job, BTW. Out of hopes, I have stopped searching now, and my certification, although very much active and relevant, I do not know how to handle the situation that I have been facing.
Hi. I am sorry to hear about your situation. However, I have not felt it that way in the industries I have worked. Probably you need to lookout for a different genre of company or plan switching industries.
Yes. I'm very much working on it. But still, I can not blame the PMP Certification or the qualifications for this situation. It's bad and testing time, and it shall pass. Perhaps there were too many lessons that I had learnt.
Hi Ray, I am a Automotive design engineer with 9 years of experience including 4 years of working automously on projects. What is the best option for me.
Hello sir, thank you for the information. But, I have a suggestion to give in sense of personality improvement, may be also a positive criticism in perspective of a viewer. I can observe that you are shaking your head very frequently and it is a little bit distracting, smaller movement of your head or being stable is better for us to focus more on your information. Thank you!
Ray u r an expert, n u also intouch with global market changes. So continue ur great good sincere useful videos. Wish u all the best of progress n success in what u r doing.
Unsubscribed your channel. This is Ridiculous. You are demotivating the PMP aspirants as well as job seekers. This video actually shows your inexperience. I am a senior Project manager. Transformed my career from Technology to Project management. PMP has helped me to achieve this since I have created faith during the interview process and succeeded. I entered the industry as a project manager with out any proper PM experience but with good exposures. Please don’t spread nonsense.
Hi. It's quite evident that you are speaking from a myopic viewpoint & comparing your success with other project managers. Since I work with more aspirants for the PMP exam than you, I am able to see both sides of the coin. Hence, as a good coach & mentor, it's my job not only to help people who have seen success with PMP, but also to help people who are still struggling in the field of project management. Good that you have unsubscribed...clearly I have nothing to offer you any more on this channel. Wish you all the best.
Nothing of that sort....I wanted international exposure in project management & UK was the obvious choice because the role came up within my company...and it was a lateral shift for me.
Hi. It is a great certification to go for if you plan to build a career in PM. However, as mentioned in the video, you also need to focus on developing yourself holistically as a PM.

As mentioned in the video, job is dependent on your overall capability as a project manager as well. PMP is an important part of that, but not the ONLY criteria.
