Blow the wheels with a blower after washing the car. Every 6 months spray the wheels with w-40. I have a set on a cutlass they are 13 years old no rust at all.
I’m not a Dayton person at all but I feel you on the nostalgic aspect, i would leave the wheels the car looks amazing with them it’s not like they are 13’s lol f the haters .
OG 5.0. I use to see this in Los Angeles in the 1980’s, 90’s. You’re a baller, successful and enjoy showing off. Legendary and nice, different strokes for different folks. Congratulations on your new project. Keep it up.
Nice ride and video. When you get the lead hammer, like my Daytons the spinner will loosen counterclockwise on the left (driver's side in USA) as the the threads are standard tap. But the right side loosens CLOCKWISE to counter the rotation of the wheel.Never use scotch pad to clean rust off wheels, always use #0000 steel wool. Keep up the good work. New to your videos.
interesting, thanks for that. Mopars from the 1970's did the same thing--i was stuck in the woods of Maine for 48 hrs due to a flat passenger side tire. jumping up and down on the lugwrench wonder WTF wouldn't deze nuts come off. won't ever forget that lesson :)
Those recaro’s look really good on the grey interior, also the exterior looks super fresh. The black steering wheel and column and black seats work awesome with the black exterior door and convert trim. It blinds any various off color interior grey stuff. I personally like a black and grey contrast on interiors, It’s a touchy subject but you can see a lot more of the interior then a unicolor style interior.
Greetings from Sweden, Europe. I recently got a white '87 convertible and I am definitely going for this look. 17x9 inch wire wheels are so dope on these if you're into the old lowrider euroscene, and only in it for the cruising and not performance.
Love the deep dish wheels. I have a 1992 ford f150 regular cab short bed with a 302 and manual. Installed some prime 15x12.5 wheels and it looks amazing. Plan on rebuilding the drivetrain, upgrading brakes, suspension and adding airbags.
Funny when you said that M2S was the reason you got interested in Fox bodys. I was the same age when I saw that movie as well and the car made a huge impact on me as well (it actually made me get my own 5.0 two years ago). About the vibration you could sense, it can be the wheels that makes it vibrate in certain speeds, the reason is that it is hard (if not impossible) to balance wire wheels. You can but then again you dont want to glue the balancing weights on the deep dish of the wheels cause it would screw up the whole look of the wheels and car.
Same here, Menace 2 Society, along with a couple of family members (canary yellow 93 Cobra and white 87 gt converible) made me fall in love with the look. The the sound of that 5 liter paired with a 5 speed manual just took my soul!!!lol Love them and kick myself in the ass for selling my 90😔
Same reason I still want one today because of Menace to Society 😅 the wire wheels will always be debatable amongst the majority but the controversy is great for RU-vid.
The new potential owner wants the car as is because his probably going to redo the whole car to his taste, but of course the owner is trying to get every penny he can get out of it 🙄
You can buy Eagle One wire wheel cleaner. You just spray it on when your washing the car let it set a few minutes and spray it off it'll take all that off
Me and you are on the same page about that movie I love the movie and I love those cars but honestly bro I would keep the wheels on it and do your things it'll be beautiful when it's done just like all the rest appreciate you doing everything you do and I love watching I don't get to watch as much as I want to but I do try to click on and check out what you got going on much love bro
Custom wheels, custom floor mats…..why not keep the center arm rest? I know it’s not original to 90….but since it’s not a Barrett Jackson car, why not keep it? Love the channel. Love the step by step walk through.
lol, you like the Menace movie car...me and all my buddies that had 5.0 Mustangs back in the day wanted 5 speed 5.0 LX sedans and hatches or a GT with a sunroof if you could afford that. None of us wanted convertibles, especially not a GT convertible with an automatic. We used to make fun of cars like the one from Menace-2-Society...thought they were a joke... we were into racing, period.
People like what they like,, it’s always gonna be some one that doesn’t like your build but that’s ok because everyone is entitled to their own opinion…..
Those 17's start around $2,800. If there dayton $4,800... I had some in 98 17x9.5 rev, on a cutlass. Only $800 back then. Was coming home from work, the driver steer ran off. "Knock-off" wire wheels tend to do that bc only the spinner holding the wheel on. Wouldnt dare put them on a Fox (having one now) knowing the value of my car & parts. My brother wants some for his 94 Silverado. Not a good idea but 🤷. I have 18 inch Cobra svt style wheels concaved. Looks just like the Cobra wheels but concaved. Love them Wire wheels leak also. The seal has to be replaced over the nipples. Have to remove the tires to see the rubber seal. Personally I'd sale them to some crash dummy. Their nice but dangerous & warp easy on bad roads. Wide stance will destroy your paint from rock chips. New, $2800 online. Having experience with wires I'd ditch that problem while they have value on someone that really loves problems. Not worth the damage to a Fox imo.
Is that a big chunk of paint missing on the trunk?? If you mentioned the paint on the trunk i missed it all i heard about the trunk was the luggage rack.

If you switched the wheels, the car would be less popular 😂. A car that looks good people halfway remember, a car that has something people hate, they remember crystal clear, and have to tell everybody about how much they hate it 😂 to stick with your channel name there is no way you could change the wheels, you have to take steps to make them wheels pop, do some time consuming restoration on them bad boys. Then it is a infamous 5.0 automatic foxbody mustang
