Those "kits" with the springs are absolute joke ! Anyway, I have a E39 540i and I was tired of the ONE_WHEEL_PEEL, so last year I performed the same operation as you, but I used Typ210 out of pre '96 E38 M60B40 automatic (ratio 3.15). I used a Visko-Lock LSD carrier out of E46 M3, but you can use regular clutch-type LSD carrier or the whole diff from E32/E34, but with more mods to fit the sub-frame (read below :D). I also tried to weld the two "ears" on the rear cover but it doesn't looked strong to me, so at the end I removed them completely, laser-cutted a 10mm steel "add-on" witch is held by the rear diff-cover bolts. The diff fit perfectly on the sub-frame. Shortened the propshaft -45mm on the diff-side to and thats it. Side note if someone is buying a visko-lock lsd carrier: buy only lsd-carrier WITH the output flanges -> on those LSDs left and right flange are different lenghts. Left is long, right is short. hi , i have an e38 740i 1998 with 2.93 , and i bought a e32 750 lsd differential. i want to install it in my car . do you know if i can swap the inside lsd compnents in my dofferential ? i still didn t take of the diff from my car
@pazi88 Do you think Racing Diffs kit would perform better with different spider gears washers - for eg. Washer + friction plate, or just friction plate instead of washer.
pasi help me out please!! i am waiting for your reply on your other video like an answer to my prayer, if i use 84mm crank with 140mm rod and amp44 m54b30 piston with 15mm dish, stock valvetrain and 2mm gasket, do i still need to increase valve pockets?
Where did you find the BMW spec for stackup clearance? Any idea if the same clearance applies for the Z3M 4 clutch diff without preload? I recently rebuilt one but it only locked for 1 trackday and now it's basically open diff again.
@@pazi88 thanks! Looks like it says total stack up should be 0.03mm proud. I bet the stack up was too thick and the clutches wore out very fast without a spring washer

Kyllä ne kuulopuheiden mukaan toisilla on kestäny enemmänkin ku yhen öljynvaihtovälin 😃mutta ihan ammattitekijäiltäkin tullut kommenttia tosta että ajan kanssa syö perän osia paskaksi kuten tässäkin kävi ilmi niin nuo jotkut osat saanu kipeetä ton muunnospalikan takia jo näin lyhyellä käytöllä

Joo varmasti toimii niinkin. Tällä mun tavalla on tehty ONE:nkin kardaani ja se on kestäny 10 sekunnin varttilähtöjä rättislickseillä. Että aika turvallisin mielin tein noin tähän.
@@pazi88 I should have been more specific, my post is #3 and my DME was originally from and manual transmission car. I want to turn off the CEL since it is the only DTC keeping it on.
