Hey guys. I got diagnosed with chronic prostatitis last year after suffering for over 2 years. My symptoms were pretty bad with even experiencing black seman at times. I ditched the last antibiotics I was prescribed, didn't even open them. I cut out added sugar in my diet, drank lemon water, ate anti inflammatory foods and within 3 weeks my symptoms were as good as gone. I went 3 months with nothing and felt like a new man. I celebrated with a huge chocolate bar along with various junk over the weekend. By Monday it felt like I was back to square one. I carried on healthy for the week and after 5 days I was good again. 9 months now and I'm all good. Seriously look at your diet guys.

So im at the start of this whole thing. Almost exact same thing; I didnt have debilitating pain as you did, but I had an actual prostate infection years ago to compare it to, what I have now is so much more mild. Luckily, the urologist i went to almost immediately told me: “This sounds like Chronic pelvic pain syndrome brought on by Anxiety/Stress and really tight muscles” He said he figured this because I developed a DIFFERENT condition due to anxiety/stress, It has affected my breathing and stomach in a different way. He told me to search around for a physical therapist which I have an appointment with soon. Definitely gonna bring up some stuff you said, because I literally got injured the same way, Last year; i injured my hip from deadlifting and have developed pain in my pelvis albeit recently. This pain has slowly gone away with stress management and I havent done enough stretching to know full relief. I think many of us want things “to go back to the way things were.” I do too, but If my life can be managed, if the pain can be managed and maybe in the future outright eliminated through persistent effort? Thats something to look forward to. We adapt to these conditions and symptoms. Even encountering healthier lifestyles as a result, im lucky i even see a therapist too; which can help in its own regard. If we, as Men, can get better as a group by spreading awareness, giving tips and supporting one another. Maybe, we can adapt to this new “Normal”.

Stress is a huge factor for worsening prostatitis. I remember sitting in work meetings and getting stressed out to the point where I had urinary retention and could not urinate.
@BAR-ct7ti
@BAR-ct7ti 4 месяца назад
Wow! You described almost the same situation as me. Of course all the prostatitis symptoms, but also left leg fatigue and left lower back weakness. I fell off my roof back in 2016 and had shattered my left hip. Had to get it reconstructed. Then I had to fix a groin hernia due to my pelvis shattering, that I didn't get repaired until two years later. I also have some bad internal hemorrhoids that I feel isn't helping my prostate. My entire pelvic area has had a lot of trauma to say the least. And like u said, I think stress is a huge factor with mine, as it also causes me horrible acid reflux too. I'm almost 45 now. Sleeping at night has been a struggle. I get up several times at night to pee, and sleeping on my stomach puts too much pressure on my pubic area. I'm getting my first colonoscopy in a few days, and I'm gonna have the doc look at my prostate too while he's down there. Then I'm gonna get these hemorrhoids removed too. I hope I can get this under control eventually. I don't wanna deal with this forever. Maybe I need to see a chiropractor and do some pelvic exercises too. Your videos have already helped me. Thanks!

It depends on the cause (bacterial, fungal, muscular or a combo). You can start healing immediately by eating junk free fresh whole feeds, stretching and meditating daily, and talking to people about what you’re dealing with. The worst thing you can do is try to deal with it by yourself, the stress will make it way worse than it ever needs to be.

I went through this for 7 years, and was completely symptom free for over 10 years. I learned a lot over that time.... How I ended up beating it in 2012 was by first doing trimethoprim and then 12 weeks of doxycycline. I combined these antibiotics with Quercetin + Bromelain (to help reduce inflammation and reverse or act synergistically with antibiotics). I also used green tea (matcha) for EGCG and EGC, which both act synergistically with antibiotics to reverse resistance and lower MIC's and block efflux pumps in E coli. I took 10 Allicin Max per day (antibacterial and anti-inflammatory and animal study shows it's synergistic with abx). Other supplements included pycnogenol + l-arginine (improve blood flow), and yeast-drived beta glucan (jarrow) (this is a very good supplement for immunity). I also took zinc picolinate and regular multi by now foods (1/3 of the dose). Finasteride can also slow the progression of bacterial prostatitis and improve symptoms (if that's the issue for anyone). When I combined supplements with the antibiotics, they seemed to clearly work a lot better. I think they were additive or synergistic with the effects of the antibiotic. Interestingly, I would get symptom relief of bladder issues from taking D mannose, so I figured my problem was triggered, at least initially, by E coli. The problem: I thought it was entirely bacterial. It wasn't. At some point antibiotics stopped working on the remaining symptoms... and those remaining symptoms were entirely muscle related. I was tensing my muscles and I didn't even realize it. This took weeks or months of doing a regular routine of stretching, deep breathing and relaxation of the pelvic floor. And REVERSE kegels. I good book I recommend is by Amy Stein M.P.T - Heal Pelvic Pain. This is what got rid of the last and remaining symptoms. The crucial thing though is identifying the muscles and learning how to relax the pelvic floor. You can do this at any time of the day: standing, sitting, or lying down. So anyway, that gets us to today, over 10-11 years later. I just took an antibiotic for a dental abscess, and then right after that I had the tetanus vaccine (3 in 1 vaccine), and now I have symptoms of prostatitis back again. It's actually been a stressful time for many reasons. I've had the burning, the perineum pain, frequent urination, feeling of tightness. It may have snuck up on me, I don't know. But doing the stretches and relaxation of pelvic floor is already helping after just a few days. I'm unsure right now if I am dealing with something that is purely muscle related or if my immune system and microbiome was compromised, leading to this flare up cos some fungi or bacteria grew, or it's simply just an immune system reaction and nonbacterial. Very hard to tell. I'm gonna just hold off on antibiotics for the moment though. Because if anyone would have told me these symptoms were muscle related years ago before I put myself into remission, I would never have believed them. No matter what the cause though, relaxing the muscles and stretching, but doing it consistently, can help loads. I can definitely feel a lot of tension, but I don't know if it's in response to the urethral burning I was getting before the prostate-like symptoms appeared. Good luck everyone. :) If anyone is interested, I can update on what becomes of this flare up after 11 years.

I have been dealing with this for 6-7 months. Kind of sad to see this is the follow up with no cure yet. What seems to trigger it for me is sugar, alcohol, higher carb diets and of course stress/tension. I think the root cause is a pelvic floor imbalance. Have you ever done reverse kegels? That seems to help relax the pelvic floor.

it is heartbreaking how many men live with this for years. The more I learn about it the more I get why it's so common. Then the dis-ease will be gone for good because it has no place in your life. This is simple but not easy. I’ve dedicated this channel to help men battle this and be the best they can be. Hope you find the other videos helpful & there are more resources in the description. Stay strong 💪🏻

@fitalfa
@fitalfa 6 месяцев назад
I’d recommend focusing on gut health. Replenishing with high quality probiotic & maybe even a gut health test to see what’s going on. Issues with the gut can lead to bowel & urinary issues. Happy to share more on that

Hi Zaid, can I ask how bad was the frequent urination for you when it all started and how is it now that you’re recovering? I’ve been suffering for the past 8-9 months on and off now with what my urologist believes is a form of prostatitis but the main symptom for me is and always has been frequent urination, it’s come back pretty bad at the moment and also starting to get the sore low back. Medication hasn’t helped too much but Just recently started with a pelvic physio so hoping this can help with the symptoms. I seem to be one of the lucky ones who doesn’t suffer much pain but the constant urge to pee is horrible and starting to really affect me. Thanks for the videos too 👍🏼

Hey Glen, at this point I pretty much only have the urge to pee when I need to empty a full bladder. When I was the most stressed out and 0-12 months in with this, it was pretty bad. I had to pee all the time. The pelvic PT was what saved me and gave me hope as well as days without pain. It takes time but things do improve and have for me, a lot.

Brother do you have any idea about this. I have pain since 6 months. Mostly come when I'm sitting. When I'm sitting i feel some pain in my Prostate area. Actually between may balls and anus. Only right side and lower right back area. My groing. Right lower abdomen. In my right buttock. Some times along my leg and arms. Like small numbness on feet. Little pain sometimes. Did KUB ultrasound scan, testicle scan. Everything normal. No kidney stones, no UTI etc. Did ls spine mri also. To check nerve issue. No issue on it. Normal result. I'm not getting hard pain. But some mild one most of the day. When stting more pain is getting more. Not sure what to do 😢.

@fitalfa

Fear makes your situation worse. I never stopped having sex even though it would hurt sometimes. I’d rather be in pain temporarily than live in fear. If you haven’t seen a pelvic pt yet, find one. Work with a personal trainer & start conditioning your body. Keep hydrated & eat fresh clean food. It’s a lifestyle change that led to full recovery.

@@nurhaqim8445 Stop thinking that. You're giving yourself more stress and making your situation worse. Why do the tests if you won't trust them? I've had your concern too so wear a condom until you feel better about it. You have to let those fears go and move on.

I m 32. I have had cpps for about 13 years now. Till 2014 I used to have constant pain, but the pain was in vericoce vein. I got it removed through vericocele surgery. Since then, only problem has been frequent urination. The theory behind cpps is that it happens due to residual pressure in lower abdomen + pelvic floor muscles. You must be having some tension in those muscles which could be constant. It irritates pudental nerve & causes symptoms. Pudental nerve irritation could cause erectile dysfunction, frequent urination & lower back pain. The key to recovery is to reduce the tension in your trigger points. This could happen only with targeted exercise.

Thanks for sharing mate. How have those exercises worked for your symptoms? Do you work with a physical therapist? Any input will be helpful

The cause is almost always an infection, mine started with chlamydia, the bacteria was killed with anibiotics, it no longer appears in tests, but six months after, I'm still dealing with this shhhhhht, symtoms come and go from day to day, I think I'm improving but there are still days I want to kill myself
@fitalfa

Yea it's tricky because none of my tests came back positive for anything, but I had UTI symptoms. I noticed as soon as I eat processed food and high-carb foods the symptoms would came back or worsen, and being sedentary has been terrible for it too. Daily movement, stretching, building strength in pelvis and core with some quality food and sleep eventually you'll be back to 100%

I confess that I was a little disappointed, because I hoped that if you found the cause, maybe I could too. 😅 My problem is no longer the pain, because nowadays it's a reasonable pain and not so frequent, but my sex life that turned into a mess. Then I realized that I no longer have sharp pains because I also don't have strong arousals anymore, that was my trigger for the pain. I feel sexually like an old man and I haven't even reached 40.
