You forgot to mention something very important. If you retire early but mid year, What you earned in the prior months does not count towards your annual limit of what you can earn. So that first year they go by monthly , then flip to annually.
Great Stuff! May I make a suggestion to improve your videos? Simply TURN OFF the MIRROR MODE on your phone or camera. Your video appears backward to us RU-vid viewers. For example, your shirt appears to button from the wrong side, your wedding ring appears on the wrong hand, LOL. Text will also appear backwards if you hold up a poster or document in your hand. Also, consider moving the camera down so that your head appears in the top 1/3rd of the screen. This will allow viewers to see more of you and your body language and hand and arm motions. Also, when popping questions on the screen, it would be nice if you left them on the screen till you have finished answering the questions. Doing this will allow those who hear your answer, but didn't get the entire question the ability to read it again while your answering it. Helps get the message across more efficient transfer of content to your viewers. Being a technical guy, I notice these things and they often detract from the content you are trying to convey in your videos. You convey a lot of good stuff and hopefully these minor changes will enhance the viewer experience. Keep up the great work, you're helping a lot of people for sure!

I am 66, will be 67 next April. Retiring August 30 1- does my year to-date earnings impact my 2024 SS payments. I made more than 50so far this year 2-my health insurance coverage will end on August 30 & I plan to apply for SS health coverage. Does my husbands income influence my premium payment. Does gross 202my earnings impact it.

I called the 800 number on the tv every year for many years trying to get my husband the benefits they offered. I quit trying since absolutely nothing is offered in our rural area. He did qualify for part D but the medication was more money than he was already paying so he turned it down. Nothing exists to help Seniors in this area.
I been divorced for five years, married 30. I receive my husband retirement pension. The divorce gave me my SSD and small retirement from the school district. He said "I can not go after him for his SS, is this true?
It would be nice to be able to make plans ahead of time, and not have to wait until we are actually retired to find out if we can afford an apartment, or if we will be living in our car. I will need a new car soon. Should I get the biggest one I can find, or can I get a smaller one that gets better gas mileage? I can't wait until I retire to get a car, I don't think the one I have will make it that long.
I just replaced my old SUV thinking I was retiring in 2 years but due to unforeseen circumstances I have to retire 2 months before my FRA. I don’t regret the smaller car purchase because I don’t have gas expense and peace of mind!

I have a friend who is a 75-year-old woman, almost 76 years old and she's in the same circumstances because of the huge rent increases where she lives. Her social security benefits around 1,200 a month and the rents are around $1,000 now. 5 years ago they were around $500, so it's just been a horrible stress on her life! It breaks my heart.💔
Does your retirement rate go up each month until you retire or does it only increase only at the turn of each year and is the year based on your birthday or January 1

Dr. Ed Weir, PhD, Can I apply for SSDI 15 mths BEFORE reaching age 62 if doc suggests I pursue long term disability. How much will Early Retirement (age 62) be reduced when I get approved for SSDI FIRST?
I hope you don't mind if I answer from what I know. You can apply for SSDI at any age as long as you have a recent work history. If you're approved your payment will be equal to your full retirement age benefit. If you also apply for retirement benefits at age 62 that I believe is reduced by somewhere around 30%. I don't know if that would affect your future disability payment.

I am considering retiring 2 months before my FRA in September. It will be only $33 less per month and $79 less, till my bday next Jan. I calculated it will take 10 yrs to catch up. Retiring 2 mnths early, will that affect survival benefits in the future?
