Yes but unfortunately, Alex cannot be be main character. You know why? Because James Heller is the main character of Prototype 2 and Alex is gone evil.

One of the biggest reason behind the low sale of prototype 2 is that Alex Mercer is villian of this game and when prototype realease Alex become favourite of many people and suddenly that character convert into negative character disappoint all those fans
yea, i can understand why, i still got it cause i loved the whole Prototype vibe, that and that alex mercer skin. personally, like many others, i belive mercer is still alive and kicking, if not somwhere else, having regenerated from mercers severed limbs heller left behind, then inside heller, and he can just come out whenever he wants to. he just dosent want to yet. he's probably going through the thousands of memories he and heller consumed over the course of the games, trying to come to terms with what he is and who he should be after all, if mercer really wanted to win. to spread the virus, why would he stay in new york? why not just spread the infection, low key, everywhere? i'm talking about infecitng a few people or so, then immedaitly leaving new york and infecting more people elsewhere. make a worldwide epedemic, not just localized. as he saw in prototype 1, blackwatch was able to isolate the outbreak in newyork. which brings up his combat - he didnt use his shield, he didnt use his devestors, he didnt use his armours, and most importantly and i only recently thought of this. He pretty much LET heller wound him over and over again - my proof? when heller tries to hurt mercer with the same powers he has, mercer easily parries the attack and hurts heller in the process. he even says as much "i'm using that. try somthing else" if mercer really wanted to win wouldnt he just parry ALL of hellers attacks? after all mercer can use all the same powers as heller so why not? he just cant consume heller but killing him by parrying all his attacks shouldnt have been a problem. i think mercer wanted to test heller to see if he could be trusted with his abilities in case blackwatch, gentek, humans in general or some other elizabeth greene type; like her son, parriah - tried anything while he sat inside heller and refelcted. sure, mercer lied to heller about being the one who started the outbreak, but he also made plenty of evolved, and planned to make the entire city evolvede. if he did that, surley there would be one or two evolved that did not agree with mercers idea's. and there were, heller who still had faith in humans and that galloway chick, though she was more interested in self serving interests
Nah not really the game industry as a whole was doing poorly back when P2 released. It was not just because of the change of character and making mercer the villain probably didn't help their sales but it is what it is. We'll probably never get a prototype 3
He was always the villain Why can’t people understand that Alex Mercer was always the villain in both games Only difference being is that in the first game he is a villain fighting villains
@@user-jm8ri8kb4k The reason didn't see Alex as a villain in the first game is because he was fighting against the virus in the first game his way. Sure the bloodtox deployers and the nuke would've been quicker but the bomb would kill many innocent people and the Marines would take the fall over himself, and he didn't want that to happen when he could do something to stop that.

2:15 how does he move this fast ? Can you get this move in the first game I’m playing it right now. I noticed all of the boss battles like heller moved a lot faster Instantly and I had max speed and all the other speed upgrades but for some reason they are all faster and they reach their max speed right when they move is this just how they made the battles or can you actually go that fast like Alex just did right there I just don’t get how that bots can do it but not us
Reason why heller can win Alex without main character power : This is a fight between a trained soldier with super human power vs a doctor with super human power, Alex make his own virus but thats for his intelligence not how much strong he is.
@@dallinnguyen8025 as I remember, he take all the other in second then fighting Heller I think Merce is stronger fighter, even at the final fight, we all see Mercer is stronger.
@@johnbreaker3874 Heller was a solider, he learned how to fight for years, even at beginning of the game, he managed to stab Mercer many times. Also Mercer shared his power to many people and most of them got eaten by Heller

But what about the power/virus he trained on using the virus when he was training as a soldier? To be clear mercer is more good at using the power/virus than heller
Bitch please, lots of people like James Heller. Me included, but that doesn't mean I think he's the best; better than Mercer yes but not Asura or Kratos let alone Broly or Ryuko Matoi.
