There was two problems I came across: 1. Obvious one is intensive lag which everyone experience 2. AC shop not giving me my stuff. Overall, the game is pretty good. It isn't p2w but I would say is p2unlock having mostly everything is behind a premium wall which being trading, buffs, expansions, marketing, costumes, etc it's mostly everything. You can earn a small portion of those stuff like the ability to market your items but that's through RNG. And most stuff is through RNG like costumes or items from scratch off tickets in game... But you do have the ability to buy some costumes on the market place but they're always expensive using in-game currency.
@@XUIW Luckily the premium trade feature is just convenience. There are actually a few roundabout ways to trade without it. I also feel like the game gives you a ton of boosters just through client orders and I don't think meseta is too hard to earn so buying costumes off the player shops isn't too difficult. The real limitation of not paying to play is the inventory space. You still get a ton of storage space but having to do inventory management after every mission isn't great. If you spend money on anything in this game I recommend expanding your inventory first and foremost.
Absolutely. I was a HUGE fan of the original. That game was my jam for some formative teenage years. I'm so frustrated now. As of today PSO2 still not working for me. I was able to launch and play a session once but after I quit it's never worked again. Second launch it tried to download the game again. After that the only evidence the game is doing anything is when I try to launch it appears to do nothing until shutdown the computer; then Win10 says there is a program still running and asking if I'm sure I want to shut down. The name of the app running is just called G. My 3 problems: 1. I know I change the settings to fullscreen in the launch but it refused to open so everything was windowed. It was a pretty small window too. 2. All the tutorial instructions were for a handheld controller. I know plenty of PC players use hand held controllers but you'd think the game wouldn't assume (I could find a way to change it to board and mouse instructions) 3. Lag. In the tutorial mission I noticed the delay with just jumping. While it's not the worst lag it was still madding enough to miss those sweet, sweet red circle prompts. Currently debating whether I should get the Tweaker or hop back over to Warframe and just wait for the Steam release. Not giving up on it though. I already miss my rebooted killer robot too much to leave forever.
Finally got this to work via the 3rd party launcher after a few days of troubleshooting. It's a solid game, but they _really_ should've just gone for the standalone/steam release. MS store is just.... nah. Much love, PSO2 Tweaker team.
He did though, on Xbox one. During the beta and then at release, where he had forgotten everything and decided to just restart from scratch whenever PC would happen. Now why hasn't he done that, well MK11 has released new content at the same time, so... hopefully he will sooner or later.
Meh, I don't blame him honestly, I just think the man has other priorities now with his Twitch/RU-vid career... PSO2 is an MMO after all, and these bad boys requires A LOT of free time. Max is now an adult with an family, and has a pretty large twitch/youtube channel to take care of. He's no longer that one teenage dood that had ALL the time in the world to play games like PSO1 that required A LOT of free time in order to fully enjoy it. . But hopefully, we see him play some more in the future
I must be one of the lucky ones. I installed the game on June 1 and have had almost no issues. Only issue I've personally had is the lobby being choppy. This doesn't bother me that much and I have no problem waiting for the official fix. Overall I've been enjoying what I've been able to play so far. Many of my friends haven't been so lucky. Many had issues installing including having to reinstall Windows. Hopefully all of these issues are fixed soon.
I'm really thinking about quitting. Its been one lousy problem after another and I've spent more time fixing this crap than actually playing. First I install on windows store, get the repeating download loop after first launch and a crash which progressively fills up my hard drive with 60gig admin locked backups. After hours of solution attempts I see the Tweaker notification and re-update it after playing on JP years ago. it works for a while but I still get issues pertaining to AC purchasing, firewalls, and missing files. Now when I launch the game I can access my character, but get stuck in an infinite loading screen entering the hub. If I try to create a new character the game black screens... For the love of god they need to fix this. It was easier playing on the JP version with all Tweaker patches installed back in 2015!
Sorry to hear that, I'd try running all the troubleshooters in the tweaker and if that doesn't work you could try uninstalling the game entirely and reinstalling it solely through the tweaker. It has that ability now. Also always launch the game with the tweaker to get rid of lobby lag.
I haven't touched the NA Release until patches or SOMETHING are released. Don't have the time or energy to have to deal with the many issues that people are having.
Man 4 days of trying to get this game to work. Both the normal and tweaker way following the steps both worked one time and then dont work after that... Don't know if I should wait tell the 10th to see if the issues are fixed or quitting completely. Honestly down playing the hoops you gotta jump threw is kind of a bunk.
things are much better now thankfully, and the PSO2 tweaker is at the point it doesn't need the ms-store to work and is usable as a standalone installer. But I will continue to be harsh on these launch issues. This game DOES NOT get a free pass for 'being a new mmo with launch issues' because it ISN'T a new mmo. The game is 8 years old and the JP version always worked fine. This is entirely MS's fault for being terrible
Really surprising to see how many people out there are making a career being one of those RU-vidrs that scream and freak out at every little thing. It's so fake, obnoxious and melodramatic.
I played this game maybe 5years ago the jp server and use the tweaker so far its great bcuz there is translator. i love this game that i wish there is a version of PSO2 in phone sadly its PSO only
@@SilentNightx Yeah that sucks, worst part is. I gave the game permission's and when I tried to play it the next day, the whole game was encrypted. And it didn't allow me to delete it, I had to Format the whole hard drive.
