I’m new to engine swaps so can someone clarify. I thought you needed new axels, and ecu and a bunch of other stuff when doing d to b series swap. Why didn’t they do this ?
U take a integra full swap motor trans motor harness ecu. only 92-95 civic will drop in a go an civic is a 5 speed I even think the civic ecu will work with integra motor but I always get a p28 or gsr ecu.
@Autosauce great video! Say, I've got a B18b from 97 integra to put into 95 integra, is the distributor for OBD1 and keep the wiring harness/ECU of the 95 in there the main things to watch out for? Do you have to "clock" the distributor a certain way when swapping them, or just bolt on no problem?
Like the videos you guys put out wish I had the engine to put in my Honda to make I faster. And I'm looking around to find way to build it up but don't know the way to go yet so hopefully I see something you guys are doing to help me a long the way and what engine will fit in my 2001 Honda civic are rebuild it in away to make it a better motor but you guys keep up the good work and videos to help guys out there that wants to learn new tricks of the trade thanks.👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
Hondas are easy to swap, but then again I have been an auto technician for 11 years now. I still love honda, very reliable cars in factory OEM form. Even when swapped they are still more reliable than other makes and models out there. My honda will be 30 years old in 4 more years and it is still better (reliable) than what is available today.
初めまして。 飴色ちゃんねるです。 私のシビックもef1です。b18cのエンジンにスワップしたいと考えています。 参考にしたウェブサイトや説明が載っているサイトを教えて頂きたいです。 よろしくお願いします。 Nice to meet you I'm AMEIRO CHANNEL. My Civic is also ef1.I would like to swap with a b18c engine. I would like you to tell me which website you used as a reference and which one contains the explanation.
JeffiBuilt EJ1 That’s awesome man! I think our best time is right around four hours but when you’re recording it takes about double the amount of time to do anything lol
Thanks for the video guys! I'm doing a b swap on my integra currently has d16 on it, i just bought a b18c complete conversion, do i have to change the wiring under the dash or just ecu and engine loom?
@@phayx yup bro i found out wiring on the right side of the engine bay are different so i have to get under dash loom from a factory b18c integra, then i have to pulled out the whole dash to remove the dash loom which is a pain in ass to do haha
I’m wondering what mounts I would need I have a full running 98 LS integra but I want to swap the whole thing over to my civic eg coupe. It has a B18B1 with no power steering or AC with a rebuilt transmission, if you can give me a component’s list I’d help tremendously and I would appreciate it!!! Don’t know what brackets or mounts I need
Help please i am having problems with my 96 gsr swap into my 99 ek hatch, The ecu coneccion on the ecu its different from my ek civic, I bought a obd2b-obd2a jumper harnes but still cant fit 😥
Hey, I presently have 1995 eg sedan with b20 auto swap but i am having hard time finding proper replacement auto tranny. Having hard time matching mine which was transferred from my first b18 swap. Help please!!
I have a question that maybe you can help me with. I'm thinking about buying a 96 honda civic ex coupe and I'm curious to which B or K series swap would be the easiest with little modification? Is there a option for a B series engine that's OBDa? And my next question is I'm also looking at a 03 acura rsx type s and I'm curious on how easy it is to swap a k24 into the type s or the base model? The type s I'm a little worried about because it has 250K with an occasional 3rd gear pop out, but I found a 06 acura rsx base with 90K miles, both Acura are at the 4K price point. And I could use an honest opinion on which one would be a better option for a decent project car to be honest. I've worked on a lot of Hondas but nothing like engine swaps and I'm more of a Nissan guy to be completely honest. Help, lol any and all info is greatly appreciated.
Jeremy got kicked out again... He uses ppl to fix his car. Don't worry you'll see him in a boosted vid soon sucking down all the guys there to come back
@autosauce I have some questions I'm wanting to put a b16a In my 1993 Civic ex so it has vtec d16z6 will my harness plug in? Will my stock axles work or will I need aftermarket ones? I'll need new motor mounts and trans mounts and shift linkage and ecu correct anything else
If you have a p28 you can get it chipped to run a b16a basemap and save some money. There's a really good company on ebay that will write up a custom tune for you. I believe you will need axles
Also d16z6 harness does not have knock sensors if I remember correctly and the b16 does, and I don't think vtec will not work without them. You can just wire that into your ecu if you know how to pin it
Carlos Soria checking in. I have a beautiful, clean blue valve cover that's available for donation from the homies at Meineke, if interested let me know!
Dang needed more info. MY son got a blown 2002 ex with Vtec. Looking for any engine cheap that can plug and play or just 1 or 2 things. , That D17 is a horrible special design that does not mix and match with other engines not even the transmission and is known for over heating and leaking oil. Looking to basically drop plug and play even if the engine is basic and old. I want this D17 over heating nightmare gone. if anyone has done it let me know. all these fcking forums say just fix it or K-swap. not looking for performance just a working engine almost straight bolt on-plug and play
I am trying to do exactly the same thing.. i have a b18a1 with transmission that i want to put on a 1992 Civic hatchback. What will i need?? Is that possible??
I have a 00 1.6l sedan civic and it’s stock n everything still I jus got rly bad rod knock anyone know anything about what engine I could put in my car to swap out the old one with
