I apologize in advance for any screen skipping - it's an issue with my recording software, I've fixed it but a few clips are a little jittery, otherwise everything should be fine.
Tysm for your videos! I do have 1 question though, could you do a medium size build where you just build the base right on the ground and show how you built it step by step? The reason I ask this is bc on pc most of the good spots are already taken and I play with a couple older ppl that had previous strokes. They love to farm but tend to hate it when I make the base TO HARD to get into! Either way tysm for your videos good sir!
@@stevenday597 I've actually been thinking of challenging myself to build a viable ground base with no fence stacking - I don't have any ETA on when I'll get around to it, but it is on the menu my man, stay tuned.
You should make a public discord for people to join and chat with you :o Also, in the first edition of this and this one you didn't mention that while fence stacking, it's important to make sure they're all facing the same way so people can't stand on the invisible lip and just arrow spam to bypass bubbles (against ceiling bases for example)
By design actually, ofc they intended for players to use trebuchets and whatnot but it's basically impossible to pull that off, so regular bombs do the trick
As pretty much a solo player I know I’m going to get raided so I rely on having all my loot carefully hidden under floor foundations, behind fence panels used as walls etc. I leave a few scraps of loot in benches and chests etc to give the impression that I’m very poor 😂
I just found your channel and have been binging it hard. I thought I was a hardcore solo raider/survivalist when it came to Conan, but I've learned that actually there was SO MUCH I didn't know that I've picked up from your videos. Love your content and the delivery, very entertaining personality and writing. Great job!
Noo don't spoil the no door bases. :D Btw to get out they can of course also just use a map room, if you can fit one in. Safer vs. people who like to spend their days camping the JS Dungeon.
u can skip a Whole of work -> u need to level , spend ur time at asgard , u get some bags and steel on mass , maybe a T4 thrall Than after ur leveln u have all for a good start
10:00 what about flying gods like yog? Thats how our base was godded, they hit us with both a Ymir and then a yog, wish i knew you could pop their timer with a few bombs lol
@Ceronesthes On private servers you comer across a number of strategy changing settings. You have harvest boost, which increases bomb availability and defensive availability perhaps changing meta a nudge in the direction of a thrall pit entrance also settings like 'limited raid hours' possibly restrict raid hours enough such that even offline a number of players would not have enough time to bomb in. Ge great if you could cover how you might approach these concepts. My base was just hit for example over the weekend while I was away. It took them 6 hours to bomb in before they could start hauling away the loot. So my main defense would be to try and increase the time wasted by another 2 hours. Whats your take?
U just need a big enough cave to place a map in exiled lands at least...i have the ice cave layered all out u can’t plant bombs cause all the ground is layered also 1.5 fence foundations high i just travel out with the map my base is almost 1 year old
One factor I dont think you added into your equation is that fence foundations can hang from natural structures like pillars, where walls will collapse like normal foundations. In many builds that equals a massive savings on repairs and can affect how quickly people expose your interior. Great info tho, i didn't ever bother trying t2 or walls so its nice to know you can effectively do a budget build and still rest easy.
4:16 I was so confused as to why this Sick Animation skit was in this video's autoplay thumbnail on RU-vid's homepage in my recommended. I was like why is Sick Animation in this Conan video of all things, is RU-vid glitched or something? I was so confused and so I opened the vid and looked through the video and found it and surprised it was actually in the video and not a glitch lol.
@@ceronesthes hey also moved to different server and are building there rn. How many layers were you able to fit in that doorless base? And are you planning on making a base build guide in the future?
2 people could easily do the smaller builds.. The really big base will be super boring to defend over and over (and really hard to defend against a big clan), so it's not really worth it to build like that in a small clan.
dint log into my base to refresh for as long as possible, some solo spent 3 days raiding my base and never got thru my stack and he never logged again, think it made him quit using hundreds of bombs to not get shit lol.
@@trentdubs9990 Yeah. I've found that alot of people don't raid every quickly. I get that crafting bombs can take a minute, but you should have a handful precrafted in a fob or vault. But, playing with more people does help. Even for tunneling through doors on fence foundations, one guy explosive arrows, one guy gas, and spam.
Sitting here with my building materials and still not getting a guide on how to build my base. (Part2) // Half the video was you explaining what cost efficiency means. WHERE IS THE BUILDING STUFF, MY MAN?! >:/
Hah sorry my man, this one was a lot more abstract. The first building video has what you're looking for, all the specific base building techniques and stacking with a few standard base examples thrown in for illustration.
@@m.h.2855 you have to adapt to the terrain, so you can't really make a one build fits all video. But there's some good building vids on RU-vid, just watch a bunch and take the bits you like.. Do builds in single player spawning in the mats and be creative.. Go on busy servers and get raided.. See how they got in and learn from it.. And if you are alone, most of all this build stuff doesn't matter. Staying small and hidden is a solos best defense most of the time
Yeah the door stacking thing is always an option. They patched out being able to stack most structures in the past due to viewing it as an exploit though, so I don't use that technique myself. Not that I would consider it a MAJOR exploit, but it definitely isn't intended, so I try to keep my nose clean
