Hello Alton and Elizabeth! I'm in love with yalls variety and REAL type of videos. I appreciate everything that you two do and love the candor that you all have. It's refreshing to see the real side of a food network icon and the way his loving side for his wife.
Just found out about this channel. I was a HUGE Good Eats fan back in the day but haven't been keeping up. I found out about this channel browsing reddit. It is wonderful and you are wonderful people. A bit shocking to hear AB saying fuck but in a good way. Keep it up.
Liz, you're awesome. I've been a fan of Alton since S1 of Good Eats, and the more of this I see, the more I find that he and I share humor/personality traits. Not only do you put up with him, but you give him just the right amount of backlash. Keep up the good work!
I am so glad you guys came on today! My dog had surgery today, he is fine now, but as dog owners you guys know how that feels. Thanks for the laughs. And please say something on here when you guys get the colored QQ shirts out. I will gladly pay extra. I already have the regular one already.
You're wrong about the difference between bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey, AB. Yes, Tennessee Whiskey is charcoal filtered, but it is just a marketing term. Bourbon can be charcoal filtered too. Evan Williams, for example, is charcoal filtered.
Went to a resort in Negril Jamaica back when we could travel and at the bar they had jerk popcorn. It was amazing. I've kinda recreated at home by mixing in jerk seasoning with the melted butter. So good.
What an awesome night enjoying popcorn. We had Valentina on our popcorn tonight, remined us of our visit to the cantina's in Merida Mexico! Great job today!
Glad to see you on the new medium (youtube) and have watched many many of your shows since way back...taking a total blind guess here, but is the jazz Roy Eldridge, or Kenny Dorham? Sounds to be around that era. Anyhow, if you like jazz, I would love to send you a copy of my contemporary jazz album for free and with with free rights for you to use, if you'd like. Just let me know, and am always glad to watch your entertaining shows! Thanks
You guys are great. I would love to hang out in your kitchen! Funny thing, the list wasn't completed during the stream , but when I was in HS - '91-'95, I had a list of "bands you shouldn't listen to" Kansas Styx Boston Journey REO Speedwagon And Toto I am now ok with some songs. I know it's cliché, but I only really got into Billy Joel after I ended up moving from Long Island. Looking forward to the next QQ.
I had to stop watching earlier and must have missed some technical difficulties... So glad you two are back at it! Cheers to the laughter and cooking (and cocktails) you've inspired over the last many years! Thank you for welcoming us into your home. Stoked to snag and rep my QQ shirt with pride
I do not know why I enjoy these videos with Alton and Elizabeth, but I do. It looks like a bad marriage, but they seem to enjoy it!!! It like being invited to a neighbor's for dinner and feeling awkward they are constantly bickering, interrupting each other. Too funny!! I love it.
@Heidi Libby My trading mentor; Dr.Mr. Steven Clarke Robert runs and investment platform like that, I paid in €23,500 just last week though its not the first time, and I got a paid profit of €49,600. It's been an amazing experience with her
Back when you could still feed peanuts to the elephants at the zoo, I had a squirrel dart out from under the vending machine, climb up my pants leg and yank the peanut from my hand. Then he went under the vending machine and ate it. Did it twice because my mom wanted a picture. I thought for sure he'd bite me with those chicklet teeth. So, yeah, I've got a picture of six year old me crying while being mugged by a squirrel.
I Have to honestly say this was hands down one of the best QQ epasodes ive watched so far.. I am saddened I could not ketch you guys live for this one.. TY seriously.. also I like to add ground round rocked as a restaurant! I truly miss having one where I live,There use to be one down the road from me in Mamaroneck Ny Then they changed it to a Applebees :( and now its a tap house .. anyways ty again and I cannot weight to see what next weeks shows bring ...
Yo A & E, we can barely even HEAR the music, let alone identify it! That said, I've got plenty of my own music to play but I'm here to listen to you two.
I was thinking along the same lines, that they were one-off's of famous works that might have been used on "Good Eats" sets, akin to "Chicken with Bowler". edit- NM, he gives a clue towards the end.
I’m catching up on last night’s episode tonight with my husband. Enjoying it and love the QQ Ts. The new art works are Dali pieces....did anyone guess them? Very nice! Cheers to you both.
Alton, note, David Lynch of Twin Peaks use to send his friends/actors freeze dry mouse he made into parts where they the receiver of this gift of these mouse parts has to glue together. It's like a model kit except it's made from mouse parts. You are well on your way to become David Lynch of cooking.
OMG, The Ground Round!!! Old Looney Tunes and popcorn! I think my last visit was in Framingham on Rt. 9, a looooong time ago. Hoping to find out more tour info. Will you be coming to Honolulu?
I love Elizabeth’s shirt and hat. I have the shirt and the Unitaskers shirt. The squirrel is an interesting mascot! The kitchen looks pretty clean. I’m impressed! Have you taken care of the weevil problem in the pantry??? Clean it out, wash down the drawers and shelves and then place bay leaves in all the jars, boxes and containers, You will never see another weevil. I swear. I had a terrible weevil infestation in my apartment in Brooklyn. I washed it all out, bought all new food and then put bay leaves in every container and box and I’ve never seen another. Eizabeth, I remember The Ground Round. I went to school in Boston 78-82 and we used to go there. That and The Crossings on Mass Ave right near my boyfriends dorm house.
Nice turntable there. Looks like a linn or an ariston. Tube integrated amp. Medium core stereo. The music is more important than the machine anyway. Check out Boz's "out of the blues" solid blues there.
Had a number of Ground Round restaurants here in upper Midwest. Twin Cities MN. Had wooden barrels of peanuts and at least two popcorn machines running in each eating area. If you were around close to closing time, they used wide scraper shovel to push all the peanut shells and trampled popcorn into a back corner and shovel them into 30 gal trash barrels. Would then get out a dry mop and wipe down the wooden floors. Oil from walked on shells treated the wood floors. Last one left our area in late 90’s. Kids loved the early weekend dinner times 3-5pm-ish. Had comedy piano player/singer and clown with balloons. Came around to tables did tricks and balloon animals.
This may be super late: But is the album, “The Blues and the Abstract Truth” by Oliver Nelson Starring: Paul Chambers, Eric Dolphy, Bill Evans, Roy Hanes, & Freddie Hubbard? Too many comments to see if anyone figured it out. ^^
is that jazz band Anthony Braxton by chance? I recently discovered him, and he can get Picasso at times (not a bad thing when you’re in the mood for dissonance), but his more traditional playing is very melodious.
Love you guys! Thank you for inviting us into your home! 💖 I've found a composer named Kevin MacLeod who puts his music out there for streamers like you free of charge! He has a yt channel as well. Just search under his name. 😎 The tube won't let me post a link.
