Thanks again for these detailed first looks. I like the knife, it's a well put together little work knife, but it's not a great slicer. Which Micarta did you get? Mine is the denim and seems slicker that yours. It's part of the reason I'm kind of underwhelmed with the knife.
I got just a "micarta version". Plain. Not sure. I didn't even know what color it was until i got the knife in my hand. I thought about the denim...but felt like blue was not really my thing. This one feels good. The one on the Chevalier feels even better. Grippier!
@@SpartanJohns yeah the blue isn't stellar and the tighter weave is too close to polished to be really grippy. I just got a Sencut Watauga that has great micarta. Really grippy. it's a great knife.
i thinned mine out and put a toothy micro bevel on mine and I mainly use it as a box cutter or when i'm going to cut a lot of plastic sheet or the like. it's a pretty good odd job knife for the price.
I took the thumbstud off and dropped the edge angle to 15 dps...It does a really nice job as a work knife/tinker knife. and if you consider the price...it is really something!
Would it be possible to dremel the screw holes for the clip slightly so they could fit flush. Enjoy your honest reviews and presentation style. Greetings from a Tiny Island in MAINE, USA 😀
The micarta is very thin where the clip is. yes...it would be possible to drill the holes...but one would have to be very careful. You would also have to shorten the screws. now they sit flush with the liners.... Glad you liked my videos! Greetings from Romania! ;)
