@B J might be due to balance since originally the Famas had 1200rpm fire rate but they decided to drop it to 1000rpm *EDIT* Oh and they also increased the fire rate of the mini Ak-74 (AKS-74U)
Well, in Push or Frontline, where marksman class is limited this turned out to be a really good long range gun, I use it a lot on Crossing and Outskirts. Its 4x scope for 1 point allows me to have recoil grip wich makes this a laser
@@Real_Mick3y6 I like the G3 but……not really? In this game the G3 is really disadvantaged, not significantly more powerful than carbine rifle rounds, but kicks like a mofo and has less rounds, while you pay for much less for the QTS-11
@@user-uv5ld3cx5t Agreed. I find it very fun, but being able to barely one tap people more consistently than any other rifle doesn't feel worth it most of the time.
@@EthanX1ao i would prefer it as cheap SMG. Like it would fire fast and have low damage. So it would be great in case you just want to spit bullets in your enemy face and would be basically the reverse grease gun
@@lokey2346 no, 191 is the newest QBZ. QTS is basically a QBZ 03 with an integrated airburst launcher. The QTS airburst launcher is manually loaded, to make room for the regular rifle part (the QBZ 03). But that's generally the optimal setup anyways. The alternative is something like the US XM-25 (not to be confused with the 29), which is solely an airburst launcher. This isn't favorable as you're essentially depriving the person using it of having a regular rifle to fight with, and thus that idea was abandoned. It's just a simpler and more practical idea to have an integrated manually loaded airburst launcher, rather than a dedicated one. It's important to note that this is supposed to be an airburst grenade, which isn't modeled in game. Although if it was, it'd be ridiculously powerful in certain situations (think of the airburst in Battlefield 4). Basically this is actually a really cool piece of equipment but in insurgency it's just as boring as every other rifle.
This gun should have low recoil in real life for TWO reasons. 1) The barrel locate wayyy below the stock axis. This should help with muzzle rise (similar to kriss vector) 2) weight the same as M249 SAW.... yeah... it weight 15lb with optic. That being said, this gun have absolutely atrocious height over bore and is probably night mare to use in CQB situations....
3:33 just a quick correction, the weapon is actually called the XM29 OICW which included both the rifle and the airburst launcher. The XM25 you're referring to is the airburst launcher that was derived from the XM29.
I think this weapon excels at being a beginners weapon, it has low recoil, great scope and a low rate of fire so you can always use full auto even at long ranges. It reloads really fast too with high capacity mags, so the weapon is really comfortable for that. But it is cringe that NWI added it in without really making it realistic especially when there was other guns added the communit ywanted
I dunno man, I love this gun. It's very versatile thanks to it's scope, you can push inside the OBJ with 1x and when you defend it, you can cover long ranges with 4x. Sure, you're at a small disadvantage during a close quarters firefight, but it's still a gun. You put 2 bullets in them, they die. I wouldn't mind a foregrip with a launcher tho, that would be cool
They must have changed the QTS-11 over the years because it's a great gun for PvE. It's the only rifle in a caliber that doesn't produce huge recoil that also reloads as fast or faster than an AK. Its limited rate of fire means you can take point and clear a room without wasting rounds, letting you take down more enemies before reloading. Point shooting grip and a 4x scope for a total of 3 credits makes it viable at any range for cheap.

I love it as a medium-long range harrier. It's so controllable with magnified optics and a recoil grip, and the low fire rate makes keeping track of ammo so easy
Honestly one of my favorite demo weapons due to how flat the 20mm grenades fly and how accurately you can shoot them. They also feel like they reload faster
It's cool that you talked about the future soldier programs and the OICW. Just thought you might find it interesting that the army IS finally replacing the M4/M16 as well as the 249 with the NGSW project, which includes the NGSW and the NGSW-R respectively. Super cool stuff if you've got the time to look it up.
At the beginning of the update there was a bug. The underbarrel grenade launcher on the QBZ 97 didn't have any bullet drop. It fired in a straight line. If they would put that on this gun and give the player control over the distance after which it will explode, it would be a cool addition to the game.
Put some compression on your vo with a long-ish release with a soft knee so that you can add some gain to your VO. That way i dont get blasted out when vsauce comes up next. Thanks for the guide.
I actually really like the QTS. I do pretty well with it because of the low ROF and very low recoil. I usually just run it on demo anyways, since I'd rather have an Aug or any other gun since I'm probably doing more up close room clearing, whereas with demo I like to spray everything with explosives before moving in. Maybe I'll just use the AUG to begin with...
I top scored in my first PvP game with this thing! It's worse but still competent enough in close range since, well, it's a gun, and is great in mid to long ranges with its zero recoil and clean sight. It's super low rpm also makes it really efficient too

I mean in terms of relevant stats IRL there isn't too much difference between guns of the same caliber. Like the main defining features of a gun IRL is caliber, handling (both recoil and general ergonomics), reliability, customizability and accuracy. Notice how things like ergonomics, customizability and reliability don't really work for a multiplayer fps like insurgency. Accuracy doesn't matter a ton since pretty much all modern guns are pretty good. Caliber is really pretty much the only thing that can very significantly set guns apart in a game, like barrel length has a bit of an effect (which we see in Sandstorm) but in the end guns are very similar to each other when you are limited to looking at them in a game.
Imagine if you could just stick this gun around a corner and use the integrated camera connected to an eye-piece or something. Seemed to be popular feature for guns like this back in the day.
Good vid dude, QTS definitely felt underwhelming when i first used it... and every time since. Also quick request- in the next one could you pls turn up your voice and/or game volume a few db? Wasn't bad in any way, just a little on the quiet side.
It is really good for coop tho all ranges if u make it semi and fast enough with ur finger 😂 ive been using it aloy with quick draw grip and its defult optic and a suppressor ofc
This weapon has potential. Making the thermal optics useable for the grenade launcher and possibly making it airburst or even an option to choose the types of grenades like smoke would be a good step to make. This is the only gun that has an integrated grenade launcher so buffing that aspect of the gun would certainly help make up for its downsides, doing so might not make the gun widely used but it'll certainly have a place for grenadier players keeping it somewhat relevant. As it stands however it has no place for any type of players except for the ones that like to use bad weapons for the hell of it.
Yeah, this sums up my feelings on this gun pretty well. No clue why it costs so damn much because as you already said, you don't get any of the benefits that this gun would have in real life. Also, for the "low recoil" thing, it... doesn't really have low recoil. It's a bit less than the AUG A3 and M4A1 on a full spray due to the recoil-firerate bug, so in theory, it's probably better to use one of those guns at range instead of the QTS-11, with the AUG being a great pick due to the insane muzzle velocity of 970 m/s.

Chinese guns are usually design for conscript which doesn't have much training, or In this game it's a beginner friendly gun. The design is focus on low recoil and ok-ish firerate for easier to control the shooting. As I try QTS-11, first impression is pretty good, but yeah, when I try it longer, it's slugish and not really practical for veteran. This gun is perfect for beginner to enjoy co-op mode.
