It's Roger and Brian who chose Adam to sing with them. They were the ones who encouraged him toward his costumes because from a child and through his years of theatre that was what he was. Freddie Mercury is been gone and there never will be another. However if Brian and Roger picked him to bring back those unforgettable songs you shouldn't criticize them
I saw this tour three years ago in Pittsburgh, PA (USA). I'm so glad that more people are able to witness this magnificent performance. I certainly understand those that are disappointed with the setlist. I went into our show expecting pretty much the greatest hits performance. As a lifelong fan, and certainly of the deeper cuts, I was just hoping for them to throw some kind of bone to people like me. It came in the form of Machines (or back to humans). It's possible only my brother and me were the only ones in the arena excited for that number. I'm also glad they are still using the Innuendo opening. It sounded so freakin' epic!
@Thijs is in the air We also got Doing Alright in Pittsburgh. I went in to that concert not knowing anything about it, so those selections were fantastic for me! Have a great time on the trip to Amsterdam!
So lucky! I’ve always wanted to see Queen+Adam Lambert because Queen’s my favorite band and I think Adam does them justice. Unfortunately missed my chance :( Also since this was their first performance after the Covid lockdown that makes it extra special!
I was there at this concert. I was concerned that Adam Lambert would try too hard to be like Freddie. I was surprised to see him honor Freddie and be his own self.
The band including Freddie Mercury's Phoenix Trust Fund Team chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to present, both performed with their own voice and showmanship.
Something to look forward to, enjoy! This was my third time of seeing Queen and with all the three singers. Yes of course you can't beat seeing the original four members but that is expected... there's no argument! Adam Lambert though can sing, yes he's put on a bit of weight, but hasn't everyone since covid? If Freddie Mercury was still with us, would a 75 year old hit those notes, I don't think so! Brian and Roger are so lucky to have found someone to continue with the music of Queen...be blessed to have witnessed a fantastic show, if you've been lucky enough to get a ticket. God save the Queen 👑
Fully agree with your comment, especially of those that seem to watch the whole concert through it, what's the point in going! I always make a point of doing one or two complete songs and then put the phone away to take in the show. Sign of the times I suppose but at least you've got something to show to help with the memories.
Each concert of this great band can be the last, Brian and Roger are not young. Many viewers want to leave a memory of them and their visit to the concert.
Brian and Roger are 75 and 73 this year... We don’t know how many more chances people will get hearing them live so i certainly won’t blame anyone wanting to record their own memories...
@@trueblue1886people don’t watch the show through their phones, just rather record the parts they want and watch with their own eyes. Or maybe that’s just me….
Who is antiquated? Do you even know what the word means? Queen's music is timeless and will live forever. QAL brings attention of Queen's music to not only older Queen Fans but to a younger generation as well. Simple answer if you don't like don't watch.
Yeah. Brian and Roger didn’t want to use someone who sounded like Freddie or acted like Freddie on stage. They just wanted someone who could perform the songs
Give up already, MM people.. Queen + Adam were perfect chemistry from day one, and it's been more than a decade they have toured the world together successfully. They're like family now. Best band ever, and Adam is perfect for their frontman. Otherworldly vocalist. 💖
I hope you're not one of Marc's fans culled from FB, paid to subscribe, add to views/likes his videos and troll Adam Lambert's solo career and Q+AL videos for over 10years. It's shameful and pathetic.
Many of us saw Queen with Freddie and no with Adam. We have more than entertained this: tonight. Adam’s vocals on Who want to live forever were superb. I have seen Queen with Freddie twice but this was a brilliant celebration of the best rock band ever’s music. As a huge Queen fan, huge Freddie Mercury fan and huge @adamlambert fan- Netflix doc, ‘The Show must Go On’ is a TREAT!! I don’t think theres a better singer than Adam Lambert around today.--Mia Farrow Seen both Queen with Freddie and Queen and You. Don’t let the haters pull you down. As a huge Queen fan, I'd say take it for what it is. Adam Lambert is an amazing performer and is singing the songs that Freddie sung, with a similar passion. Not the same as Freddie obviously, but sadly he is gone, and this brings Queen music back to audiences both old and new. I firmly believe Freddie would give this his seal of approval.
No, everyone knows Adam and Queen now. They come to see him. I have watched countless concerts and been to some. I have never heard a crowd yelling for Freddie.
Stop trolling, Brian and Roger are the two original members of Queen, and are entitled to use the name, they own the Band, why would they call themselves Smile? Now they are QAL Deal with it, go and troll somewhere else.
Another singer close to Adam? I’ve seen Queen on every tour in the uk since they supported mott the hoople at opera house in Manchester 1973 and I wouldn’t personally say that Adam is anywhere near Freddie’s vocal range or ability to grab a crowd and keep them there, Well I will see tonight as I’m off to see them again in Manchester let’s hope they do some songs Adam wrote in the set
@@tarkusuk You’re entitled to your opinion, but i will share what other people who have seen Fred and now Adam think. Hint, hint…they disagree with you. I’ve really tried to like Adam Lamberts style but I can’t! To me he is still kinda musical style singer who dresses like it’s a bloody circus! May sound rough but that’s not Queen, it’s Roger, Brian and Adam performing but not Queen! When Freddie died, Queen died!
Why on earth people are so bitter and jealous of others success is beyond me. The band and Adam are living a milestone in their 10 years collaboration: 10 sold out concerts in the 02 in London, they just play in the Jubilee for millions another milestone. I admire them for their huge success and popularity.
@@erikagolcher1353 Because he acts full of himself. He should be thankful because he is successful because of Freddie's work. Paul Rogers was a much more suited singer as he's a rock singer. He had style as well. It wasn't Freddie of course but it worked better than Lambert and Rogers was also Fred's suggestion to them before he passed away. I can't lie I would go to a concert if I could but only to see Brian and Roger and I'm pretty sure most people go to see them.
@@SealedKiller Adam is the most humble man in the music world. And your argument is false when they tour with Rodgers they only play in little arenas and they never sold out. The Cosmo album was a failure and ruined the band reputation and was a financial mess. So the majority go to see Adam.
@@erikagolcher1353 If that's what rocks your boat. Adam has no power in his voice and just doesn't have the looks of a rock star. You're telling me people go to see Queen because of Adam? Hardly. The movie brought them some fame back. I'm sure if the movie wasn't a thing that they wouldn't be selling out. And yes most people go to see Brian and Roger and you can't tell me otherwise.
LOL, Get real. Adam is the frontman. He’s the one up there singing for 2and1/2 hours. Your delusional if you don’t think fans come to see him and hear that voice. They’ve been doing it for 10 years since they first heard him and instantly fell in love with his voice.
@@carolhagerty4288 There's much more than singing for 2 and a half hours. Look at what Freddie does when he isn't singing. He's never static always moving. Adam isn't a frontman but rather a singer.

@@sasha07775 If Brian and Roger are still Queen, please tell me one song after Freddie death !? A song equivalent of this name ? What happend with them , where are the great new hits? Like Freddie's ERA? The heart of this band died in 91. And, in my opinion, not only his heart ; could be much ,much more of that. Please watch "macking One Vision" and you will see the role of them. You'l see who is the King! Why John Deacon retired? His story ended with Freddie ! And Queen !!! They are a great musicians but without Freddie and John they never could be Queen. Only with the name of Queen.
Queen is Brian and Roger’s band. They founded and originated it. It belongs to only them and no one else. And most of the songs they perform in concert were written by Brian May. He was the more prolific songwriter and honestly wrote better lyrics.Btw, Freddie died in 1991, Deacon didn’t retire until 1997.
John Deacon retired from touring since 1997. After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury's Phoenix Trust Fund Team chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011 to present. It's a shame really. They have such a deep catalog, and in lieu of exploring it, they've been playing basically the same greatest hits set since 2012, with the odd addition or deletion that never sticks.
Yeah I understand what you are saying but it's the same with most bands that have or were going for years...ie: AC/DC for one stick with the same songs other than maybe playing the latest single from a new album.
