You cannot go wrong with Queen. Sooo many styles and genres to choose from. Freddie is my all time favorite and brilliant front man! Loved your obvious appreciation in your reaction. Somebody to Love Montreal '81 has to be one of my all time favorites. What was so special with Queen was no 2 concerts were the same; always a little different twist to the way a song was performed - like a special gift to the audience. I've been a fan since the 70's and their influence has never faded. RU-vid reactions and seeing new fans emerging constantly is so amazing and I treasure the knowledge that such an outstanding band will thrive through so many more generations 💜

Another beautiful duet by Freddie and Brian is their late night appearance at Live Aid, performing "is This the World We Created". It's a beautiful moment. It became a concert staple after that.

Love Of My Life written by Freddie about his life long girlfriend Mary Austin. They were once engaged & lived together for several years before Queen took over the world, so to speak. Freddie knew he had to tell Mary about his preferred sexuality but feared losing her forever! So it makes sense to me that the song is from Mary’s perspective. I’m sure she was beyond hurt but remained supportive & loyal until the day Freddie died! Freddie left Mary 50% of his estate including Garden Lodge (Freddie’s home). This is a love story 💟

The reason he seems let down that the audience didn't know it because usually he didn't have to sing it. At one concert in a non-English speaking country they knew it word for word.

The audience did know it. The producers tried to keep the audience quiet and subdued. Freddy hated that.
