Actually no. Diana sort of borrowed her titles from her husband at the time. Formally, she was known as as Her Royal Highness The Princess Charles, Princess of Wales, when she divorced she lost the titles, but by curtusy she was allowed to be known as Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales
Thanks for the info. It makes sense now. I guess Edward feels he's getting older and needs to represent the Royal Family in a more militaristic manner.
well from what i remember, diana lost her HRH title, and kept the title of princess; when she died, queen offered to return that title to her, but her brother refused
I do have two questions. One, why is Prince Andrew not wearing a blue sash like the other royals in naval uniform? Two, why isn't Prince Edward wearing a military uniform. He is honorary head of many regiments, isn't he?
@jensmom604 It is only a comfort to the living who cared about her, but I have the feeling when his time comes, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge will posthumously restore his mother's "Royal Highness" style.
She really did when my grandmother was a informer for her she said she actually wanted to be killed cause of dressing to formal and thought she was trying to be mean but she told my grandmother "come to my home and you see the real me in my real clothes" and thats when when they came and was shocked to see her in good clothes still so it was very shocking to the guest.
