Much more impressive is to know that when Freddie recorded Innuendo his illness was already very advanced. The album was published the same year he died
yea But it Isn't like the guy in the video said. That was a great example for how high he can go but the note he holds is a G5 and I think most Baritones should be able to reach that (just as me) So he should have gotten a better example for how high he can sing because there is much space between a G5 and his highest note F6
The one problem I have with the studio version is that IMO it takes attention away from the delicacy of Freddie's vocals. I know not everyone prefers the live version, but each to their own I suppose.
I get it, but they are there in the studio. They seem amplified by visually witnessing his facial, jaw, lip and shoulder movements. Plus seeing him all done up with blush and mascara is worth it.
PLEASE do Innuendo!! It’s a lot of Queen fans’ favourite track even though it’s so underrated. I’d love to see how you react to it given Freddie’s power and the classical element in that middle part. I’d recommend watching the lyric video tho as the official video is mostly another compilation since Fred was too sick to film anything, so the lyric video is a much better way to really take in what he’s saying! Such a powerful song, would love to see it from you ❤️
I believe his vibrato is natural because before he learned to reign over his voice Roger thought he sounded like a little lamb. However he learned how to use his natural talent
Innuendo is a masterpiece. The changes, harmony, power, lyrics😉(Why do we live? Are we free? What dictates our life? Will we find it out someday? Is there a god and if so, why some ppl have to die and others don't? Can we really achieve everything?)😔Hopefully you'll listen to that song my bruh. I always thought it's the dark twin of "Bohemian Rhapsody"😉The interlude you heard is maybe just an illusion (false hope) cos the lyrics of the whole song are heavy and darker
Thank you Traent. I didn't follow Freddie Mercury during his lifetime, although I heard many of his songs over the years. To be honest I didn't follow any music artists growing up. I listened to music, however, I probably couldn't tell you the name of the artist or group. It wasn't until I heard Dimash, that I could appreciate any music artist. Now, thanks to You Tube and the internet, I can watch and listen to all these amazing artists.
Really glad you reacted to this video. And yes, Innuendo would be great. A fantastic live song is Love of My Life, and Who Wants to Live Forever. I can't remember if you reacted to it or not yet, but the Show Must Go On is one of my favorites, which I'd so recommend. Or, if you want to get into solo Freddie work, you could try In My Defence, or the cover he did of The Great Pretender. Thanks for reacting to this breakdown of his fantastic vocal abilities! And to think, he had no real training as a singer. A real natural, and a great performer. Freddie is the GOAT.
Hey there, glad that you and so many others are discovering Queen and Freddie for yourselves. Please check out Princes of the Universe, another very underrated song in my opinion. It's mind blowing. Same with Innuendo.
You could watch Inside The Rhapsody, a mini documentary. Brian goes into a great detail on how it was recorded and just how insanely layered it is and also plays original recording sessions. Also, may I suggest Prophet's Song? Written by Brian May but I always felt like it was a sister song to Rhapsody.
You should defenitly react to „you take my breath away“. Such a beautiful song. And of course „innuendo“. Your reactions are so great. I‘m so enjoying them.
March of the Black Queen to Funny how love is shows the dynamics and falsetto up to the chest belts. But the Show Must Go On might be his most mature and stunning vocals. Too many to list. The breathy Jazzy vocals and piano runs in My Melancholy Blues. The dark classical Death on Two Legs. Did I say too many to list?
Freddie couldn't sing live the same manner that he sang in the recordings due to nodules. He never took care of his voice, never allowed it to rest while touring. Full throttle concerts + hard partying.
The part where he talks of jumping back from sweet to deep in the middle of BoRap, is a bit disingenuous as queen never sung that part live. Mainly cos it wad multitracked about 30 times per line per singer, to created the desired sound. So live, the stage blacked out, and a recording is played. Same with the first part, is was never played live, given freddie (as good as he was) can't multitack on the fly live. For more info on how they made BoRap there is a hour long doc floating around produced and hosted by Brian may (the guitarist). The whole 60 mins is good, but it's the last 30 min that is all about them reproducing the steps of how the song was produced. It's amazing bit of film. Edit--here it is. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v15oIktGJOo.html
Bo-Rap really pushed the 'no synths' trope. In some ways it's Queen's "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' - just all in one track rather than spread over an album. They use tricks they showcase in the making of Bo-Rap in other tracks at other times, but that's really a forge for many of their techniques. It really builds on things they did in their pre-1975 work.
Could you react to Queen - ,,Killer Queen" & ,,I'm In Love With My Car" but I mean the live version in Montreal? These two songs can be easily found in one quite short video
React to Phil Moufarrege his a professional singing teacher he will tell you the absolute real tr-uth about Freddie Mercury's voice. Not everything here is truth.
