I love this tutorial. Thank you so much! I just found your channel a couple days ago and am really enjoying your videos. I learned to crochet from my grandma at maybe 12 yrs old and she taught me granny squares. I didn’t really do it a lot. A couple of times over the years I would start a blanket and quit because I didn’t like my color choices or got busy, etc. Now I am 61 and starting to pick it up again for some reason. My interests are mindless blankets. It’s become such a stress reliever for me because I still work a full time stressful job. This is a great pattern I could actually handle and love how it looks. I am currently working on my first 2024 temperature blanket in single crochet and wanted to learn another stitch and figure out my next one to make. I am trying to slowly learn different ones that don’t require a lot of thinking. lol. I can’t wait to check out your other tutorials.

This would make a beautiful top to wear over a tank top in the spring/ summer, or a long sleeve in the fall/winter. Or with a larger hook it could be a great beach cover up too. I didn't even know this was an actual "stitch" pattern. I was going to make something with the Iris stitch, but decided to use half-doubles instead because I wanted it a little more "thick" and shorter stitches. 💜
