What is "Stargate Network"?
Stargate Network is an online video game in the universe of Stargate, made by fans for the fans.
Stargate Network is based on the simulation and exploration of many worlds from the Stargate universe, reproduced with great realism and attention to details. You will find the planets and spaceships from the series Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and later from Stargate Universe, reproduced with the highest fidelity.
In the future you’ll be able to create a SG Team and explore planets we’ll build (from the show and fictive ones), you’ll be able to choose your race, weapons, equipment and fight against IA and also real players (PvP / PvE).
Gameplay wise, Stargate Network will resemble a Skyrim/Fallout but in multiplayer, with RPG mechanisms similar to a Dark Souls, with co-op, missions, space battles, etc...
There will be a Main Story, but especially many things to discover, puzzles games, and side quests which will rythm your gaming experience.
The player will be able to choose what he wants to do: explore, fight, both of them, and many more. You will play the adventure your own way.

Sounds too good to be true, SG deserves a game like this. But I smell copyright issues. :/

@@EnablingBarley Hey! I'm one of the artist for this game. Just wanted to give a bit more background. The project has been around for a while and we've always put extra care to not anger MGM. One of their representative even got to try the game at Gatecon this year. So the situation is basically that right now: they know about the project and they don't really mind as long that we're not making money from their IP. Though we'd love to strike a deal with them someday if possible, that would be the best way to ensure the longevity of the project without the risk of shutdown. I assume it's not too much bother for them anyway because it's not like we're going against another official game, like Stage 9 had the unfortunate experience of :(

@@FizickzLOL Stage 9 got screwed. You guys are really lucky. Can I ask my only major nitpick with this game is the wormhole tunnel sequence uses the revised and frankly rubbish version from the later seasons. Any chance you could add or give the option for the original movie version of the wormhole sequence? Pllllleeeeeaaaasssee.

Man, I'm so happy to see this! If Richard, Amanda, Michael and Chrisopher (original SG-1) voiced this, even as a small mission briefing - I would have a SCI-GASM! RIP Don S. Davis :(

One thing I noticed that's missing is the dialing sequence chevrons don't move towards the screen before locking in.

I've been dreaming of an SG game ( a good one at least ) since season 1, that's incredible, you guys are professionals, i would buy it right now if it was ok with the legal thing and stuff, imagine a SG game looking like that, basic FPS mechanics, other world randomly generated, plus some with human work behind them, do it a co-op , quest to do, either a multiplayer one with faction war ( Taur'ri, wraith, goa'uld ), or solo game story based. , the possibilities are infinite !!!

One thing this really could use is some kind of advanced world making algorithms. So that there's like a million-billion worlds that can be discovered by entering addresses. After all, fully realized, this game could be darn near infinite. Which is far too much for any team of dedicated programmers to build...in a lifetime. It could also have a movie making app for setting up scenes for people to build their own fan fictions into. All in all, this really is an amazing beginning and I hope the copyright lawyers don't torpedo it to death...much like the Star Trek walk simulation suffered from.

This is amazing! Too good to be truth. I always wanted game like this. Would be even more awesome if there is possibility to add SG teams/Jaffas fighting against each other, maybe invading Earth or fight against them on Abydos.

I'd love to see a real Stargate SG-1 game. They could use Unreal Engine and ask for Arkane Studios (if they made Dishonored I'm pretty sure they could do this easy) but this is incredible, so pretty and detailed. I can't wait to go find Apophis in his sarcophagus, open it and shove a few grenades inside while saying "the Tori sends their regards and a few pineapples"

wish there was a proper game, this would be great if there was a controller option (x360/one and ps4 etc) and if this was controller friendly as in you didnt need to know the symbols to put it, if you could just select where to go and it did it for you, graphically looks amazing though

The game supports any standard controller. Player assists will come in the future for sure.

Well I think it never will come because Statgate SG1 is now a few years but if they would make a big long game buildig up from the movie and build in much more stuff to have more fun that would be fukkk cool.

I have zero idea why people used to make HUGE video games like Half Life 2 and all these Far Cry and GTA all the time spewing them out, now all you got is some stupid shooter games for online and people making money off subscriptions and some other similar shit like that... There could be like 5 of Amazing cinematic shooter-rpg action star gate games out by now with full on great graphics and people would make insane amounts of money... What the hell is going on with the world... there are so many so good ideas and people who would do insanely amazing stuff but just the time and money are not their supporters... I'm just kind of disappointed overall... but this game looks like something ultra cool .................
