Quiet On Set Exposes The Dark Side Of Child Actors By Nickelodeon 

My daughter (now 16) was a dancer, and started acting classes at age 5. Everywhere we went people would comment about her big blue eyes and would say "thats your retirement right there" or "get her into movies!". Especially my family and friends. Her first tv show was on the Disney channel. I stayed with her on set the entire time. Shortly after it aired, I felt odd seeing my child on tv..for ANYONE to see and record. I went down the rabbit hole and found out the dark side of the industry. She wanted to continue acting and modeling, but it didnt feel safe to me. It's hard to explain the reason to a child. I think she still feels like I let her down, and didnt help her persue her dreams. I know I made the right decision giving her a normal childhood, and she will see that one day.

From what I understand of those creepy Arianna clips, is that they werent part of the show, they were uploaded as a sort of side content on the Nickelodeon website, which makes it even creepier.

Amanda Bynes doesn't even need to break her silence. The proof of what must have happened with her has been evident. The poor girl is such a mess. I hope that she gets the help that she so desperately needs

Corey Feldman tried to tell everyone this years ago and no one listened to him and just called him a drug addict.

Drakes girlfriends mother is a Hero for saying something, and the way he talks about what she did for him its like the first time any adult had his back....the way he retells that story in the kitchen with her, its like he relives that moment a lot

Did you know the kids that play bluey and bingo on bluey are kept anonymous for their protection and privacy and it's the creators that made it happen. Why is this not more of a thing? I know it's easier cause of cartoons or whatever but there has to be a better way then ruining these kids lives for other people's entertainment. It's absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking

No wonder MK & Ashley Olsen left the industry as soon as they turned 18. I can't even imagine the horrors they went through 😖

The tears that fell watching this video was beyond. My stepfather SA and groomed me between the ages of 8-14. And NO ONE would ever of thought he would be that guy. He was the "pillar of the community", he was the guy everyone could rely on. He did work for charity, he helped homeless people, elderly. He walked around like fucking god. And I spent years in silence. Suffering. Trying to unalive myself. I turned to substances. I didn't speak up about my abuse until I was 24! And only 3 people believed me. 3. People in power get away with SO much! It's vile, It's terrifying! The victims get swept under the rug. They're isolated. Made to feel ashamed line they're responsible for what happened. I used to look up to nickelodeon stars. I adored Drake Bell! I'd of given anything to have appeared on the Drake and Josh show. Little did I know he was suffering the same as me 😔 I wanna protect every single child. I get so angry my blood boils! People tell me I'm over sensitive because of my childhood 🙄 it just means I damn well know the darkness that goes on in the world! This documentary is vital for taking these monsters down!!! I just hope it works

The Ariana Grande clips were so horrifying. Felt like vomiting watching them. It's so sad that those clips live on forever on the internet. I'm glad they're not more explicit, but they must be awful for Ariana and others to see themselves exploited in that way.

For years everyone talked about how child actors/stars all go "off the deep end" when they get older/late teens. All that's been coming out over the years it makes sense. Many were being abused and had access to alcohol/drugs and wanted an escape. It's heartbreaking

Now I understand why so many times when I was a kid, my dad would come into the room mad, asking what the heck am I watching, and telling me to turn it off. He overheard and got the sketchy stuff while I’m sitting there bright eyed bushy tailed like oh this is fun 🫠🫠🫠

Dan Schneider’s wife is a piece of work as well. There’s this old clip on RU-vid of her cooking on the Tyra Banks Show with Patti LaBelle. She tried to talk down to Patti and it did NOT end pretty 😅.

It’s heartbreaking to think some of our happiest memories of watching these shows growing up, were their worst nightmares. I’m saddened for these actors and their families.

For years, many people told us to put our son in modeling. We didn't feel comfortable because we knew exactly how the industry was. As a parent, I will never trust anyone with my child, and seeing those parents turning a blind eye just breaks my heart. I believe they had a pedo ring in the kids' show, and the money/greed made people powerful and parents ignorant.

The tweets from Amanda from a few years ago are heartbreaking. Allegedly she had an abortion at 13 as she was pregnant by her boss. Can totally understand why her mind is ruined. I wish nothing but the best for her 😭

Back in 2009 I was about 13 years old and there was a nationwide audition going on for Nickelodeon. They were traveling to multiple cities for kids to audition for the tv network and they came to my city of Atlanta. I didn’t get chosen and looking back, I am so grateful I was never chosen to work for this horrific network because I could’ve ended up on one of the sets that this evil man worked on, I send all my love and prayers to all his victims and all these kids who have to live with the trauma they endured

I honestly don’t let my kids watch almost any shows I watched as a child :/ even watching Disney movies now.. why do they kill the parents in almost every movie and talk about dying so much? And the bullying in Disney shows and movies is crazy..

I grew up watching Icarly and Victorious. It wasn't until I was 16 that I started to get the jokes and understand how inappropriate they were for children to be hearing. Dan talks about "pushing the envelope" but it means nothing when you're actually harming children to make your vision come to life.

All I see is the parents living vicariously through their children. Drake Bells dad was concerned and voiced his concerns and they manipulated him and shut him out. His girlfriends mother is the one that talked Drake into speaking out. And all these parents quit their jobs so their children were the breadwinner for the whole family. It's gross and disgusting how they all turned a blind eye because of money and fame.

I watched it a few days ago, and it made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Ruined my entire outlook on my childhood. I was always so excited to watch those shows... I just can't fathom the abuse my childhood idols went through.

The amount of times i was sent videos by creeps when i was 12-15… I kept it under wraps but seeing how many people went through the same is so gross. Then the amount of comments of people professing about their ab*se here… its so painful to think of how much suffering is in this world

After watching the documentary I feel disgusted, not only did the child stars face abuse, but they played in our faces and essentially groomed all of us, since watching I have had some of my own traumas unlock and I don't know how to process, Nickelodeon was my escape from the abuse...but now seeing it was happening to them makes me nauseous.

I finished the series and it broke my heart!! All the parents, employees, and adults on set and it was going over everyone’s head?!? The trauma these kids went through and still continue to deal with all at the expense of children for fame and fortune. DISGUSTING!!

I think it’s interesting that the first mommy vloggers/influencers are from the generation of kids that first watched these Nickelodeon/disney channel/reality tv shows and who likely wanted to become actors and participate in the nationwide auditions. I feel like these types of shows encouraged normal people to believe they could become famous. And now they are making it happen for themselves!

Yeah I grew up with these shows like Drake & Josh, iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush and didn’t understand until older and when it’s literally a meme where you look at your childhood show and realize how it’s not okay.

I grew up watching these shows. The Amanda Show & Drake and Josh were my FAVORITE. This was so gut wrenching to watch. All that was happening behind my favorite shows is disgusting

My parents raised me on public television. We didnt get cable until I was a teenager and even then, they were very particular about what we were allowed to watch. It hurts to know that they allowed us to watch All That because they thought it was "safe" for us. My parents, who were SO careful with what we watched and now to figure out that while my parents kept us away from the darker things, other kids were being exploited and abused.

Ugh this is just gross and makes me incredibly sad. I have educated my kids (ages 14, 11, and 8), to not watch family vloggers, and channels that exploit kids, and they get it and actually feel empathy for these kids who have nobody advocating for them. Thank you for continuing to educate and be the voice for those who don’t have one. ❤
