true but the problem is that he wasn't the right guy to carry quiet riot, and quiet riot fans just couldn't see that vibe he was bringing because of it kevin is quiet riot, we have to remember that, this is good music, but it's not what fans like as much.
You probably dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my gf during the lockdown xD
Paul Shortino es uno de los más grandes cantantes de esos años. Su participación en la canción Stars del Hear & Aid, el "We are the world" del heavy metal, lo prueba.
he's now with this supergroup in Las Vegas called Raiding the Rock Vault playing all the 60S 70s n 80 rock hits.with ex members of gun n roses, asia, survivor, lynch mob, lita ford, badfinger, heart, bad company. It;s a got to see show in Vegas.I have 2 vids under localguy8 love n peace
Keeping the name "Quiet Riot" was due to pressure from the record label execs, etc...... It was intended to be a new band called "Derelict Dogs". Just an FYI...
Yes they replaced him in his own band but what makes it really sad is that Kevin was very well known for being a motormouth if you remember that very well but Kevin had talked about not only his band in a bad way and also in a good way he also put down a whole host of other bands as well not good for business either especially when you get credit on the back of a rat album and that album is titled out of the cellar for back for more and unfortunately the members of Quiet Riot got so fed up with Kevin Dubrow they had a tour in Hawaii they decided to leave early that morning and told the front desk not to wake Kevin up until afternoon app that truly hurting when he wakes up to find that his bandmates have left Hawaii to go back to United States tells you something so that that's what happened true story I have any one of my magazines but I think Kevin was pretty pissed when that happened that's when they released The Quiet Riot album simply titled quiet riot and not to mention Kevin was pissed when they released an album without him and kicked him out of his own bed but the sad part was Kevin still have the rights to the name but in the way it was kind of funny to see that Kevin was left behind in Hawaii at the hotel and did not wake up until several hours later that must have really hurt real bad anyway hope that helps .😂😂😂🇺🇸🎸
Paul once said of his time in QR "Great band, we shoulda changed the name". I agree, I think it would've been more received without any old QR expectations.
this wasn't a real QR album to me, but i liked it quite a bit. Shortino has a great voice for this style of blues rock. Carlos played great on this too.
@Walamonga 1313 I think Paul Shortino has great stage presence. You call it antics: I call it *CHARISMA.* He's sexing up the song. He was hot, and the ladies loved him. Paul works the stage, in my opinion. Much better than someone who just stands there and does nothing. Yunno? I saw him live a few times with Rough Cutt back in the 80s, and they just killed it live. Young and so damn hungry. And Paul just literally commends the stage. Truly amazing pipes. Truly awesome stage presence. Charisma for days. But that's just my two cents.
@FortisBong well spoken. after izzy left guns, they resorted to doing covers and basically never wrote songs afterwards....he was the glue that held gnr together.
@hershysquirts187 robert plant wishes he had as much soul as shortino. I'm a big Robert Plant solo fan but Plant screams and wails...Paul's vocals are throaty soulful moaning blues singing.
ok hes no kevin they should of made a new band ...call me old fashioned but bands like QR, skidrow and journey are not the same without the people that made the band what it was
Incredible vocals and band ... but the name Quiet Riot are very strong at the time, and wven with Kevin Du Brow the band have a complicated history ... The 1988 album and the 1989 tour, if they have used another name, with songs of Rough Cutt, without the responsability of the QR classics ... i dont know, sometimes the record company ideas dont work, and less is more
Sometimes people myself included and their opinions again myself included crack me up. It literally doesn't matter what you or me or anyone else thinks about who is or was better because for one Kevin is dead two Paul is no longer in QR and three who knows how much longer there will be a Quiet Riot given Frankie banali's situation so I said all that to say this. Opinions suck unless it's mine lol
