I smoked for nearly 20 years....a pack a day...sometimes more.....i started at age 15....I tried to quit many times before finally quitting for good 3 years ago...I never thought I could but I DID! I don't crave cigarettes and really dislike the smell of them now....I can't believe I walked around smelling like that for so long.....It was pretty difficult the first couple weeks but got easier and easier......Trust me ....YOU CAN DO IT!
Great job man im glad for you i quit about a year and a half ago and i started when i was 14 quit when i was 15 started back up around 17 and smoked from there to 24 and i quit smoking cigarettes because i felt it wasn't doing anything but destroying me from then inside out
hey congrats first if all. i do habe a question. since you stopped smoking do you feel any different mentally, ether better or worse? is there perhaps more vitality and energy or has anything changed, like sleep habits, appetite, mood, sex drive etc.?
@@gouthamkumar521 i read that last week. i have been smoke free since Dec 26th. That book really made me feel like crap LOL. There really is ZERO reasons to smoke ciggs, My bank account and lungs are gonna be happy too

Nyc Finest Bitch I smoked from age 17-23 quit and started again at age 30. Now I’m 32 and I’m struggling with quitting. I’m going to quit again this weekend because I know it’s terrible for me. I was foolish to start back again 🤦🏾♀️.
Congrats...im 6 days in feeling good about it...ive quit before for years and was stupid and went back....now im married with 2 kids with another 1 to come one day...and my mom has lung cancer...i can't look back... doing this for my family
I used to be addicted to smoking 6 months ago. Now I've been cigarette free for the past 3 months. Learn how I was able to treat my smoking addiction here: SmokingFix.xyz
@@ShadaeMastersAstrology I'm 30 and I'm 7 months without smoking. You should switch to vaping. No tobacco, no nicotine, and you save a lot of money. It's been working for me so far
I tell you it is worth quitting m 37 been smoking since 15, quit 2 years ago, most significant change was the good old fella jhonson has got more rigid and responsive
Wow! You sound judgemental as crap. Happy for you ig youve never struggled with the habit, but to be such a jerk just because he is stating some FACTS, thats just sad. Dont judge people whose shoes you may have never walked in.
At 25 years old and smoking for 10 years I started exercising and now I've just realised it's been 2 months without cigarettes! no cravings or anything, exercise is truly the cure!
Sorry to let you down ppl I had personal issues and poor choices which led me to relapse several times in the last two years. I haven't smoked in three months, though, and it is thanks to training. So I stand by my first statement even though I have failed. It's not easy, but getting away from people who smoke is also necessary, I have had to accept.
I quit smoking at age 38, seven years ago, and haven't looked back. Short of never having started in the first place, it was one of the best decisions of my entire life. It's not just about having added some nine years to my statistical life expectancy. I am more healthy and athletic now at age 45 than I ever was at 35.
I gave up smoking 5 days ago and now i feel a million times better! My energy levels are through the roof and my stamina is increased by double! I highly recommend people to quit, you will reap what you sow!! QUIT!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I started smoking when I was 16. I was so dumb. I was feel I met the devil that day when I asked to try a cigarette . LIttle did I know that I would continue to smoke for 9 years. I quit months before my 25th birthday and never went back. I did not cheat. I just quit cold turkey. Now, I turn 50 in a few months and I worry about my younger years and the damage I did. I don't want to die with lung cancer like my Dad, heart attack like my one uncle or COPD like my other uncle. This video makes me feel better. If you currently smoke, PLEASE PLEASE QUIT - IT'S THE DEVIL!
Good that you quit so young. As the man said, you quit early enough to be as if you never smoked. I, however, quit after 32yrs, at age 49, and I'm in my 6th month. I'll take whatever health benefits it gives me. My grandmother quit at 50, and she lived to 90. So who knows, right?
@@holeesheet2021 Allan carr said he smoked 3-4 packs a day, and sat in halls with smokers even after he quit. There's a big difference between that and smoking for 9 years when you were young.
daymn mee too,im 40 now and will turn 41 in 2month. my 4th days of quitting.been smoking since i was 14.i dont want to suffer from copd and cancer and stays in hospital.i do this for my self and my family.
At the age of 39, I finally got along with stopping smoking. I have smoked since I was 14 and when I was 17 I bought a package every day and have done it right until January 6, 2019. Today March 22, 2019 I am still smoke-free and I can even get myself a beer every now and then without the urge to smoke. I know it's hard, but if you have kids ( I have 3 )then do it at least for their sake.
I can't imagine doing that to my kids - if I had kids, that is. Being a parent and a smoker is fucked up, as its so not fair to expose yourself to that level of risk when you are so important to your kids. Totally selfish.
Ho Lee Sheet you can say that about a lot of things parents do. For example climbing a mountain, going to a party and drinking too much. Just because someone becomes a parent doesn’t mean they automatically become this ultimate selfless perfection of a human being. You could become a parent and then drive 5 miles over the speed limit and there you are...you’re a selfish horrible parent who doesn’t care about safety. If you’re addicted to cigarettes, then becoming a parent with all it’s stresses and strains and it with being the hardest most exhausting job in the world..Then quitting can be 1000% harder then it would have been prior to parenting, especially when that quick 5 minute break outdoors with a ciggy might be your one and only vice and means of escapism in life. Don’t be so quick to judge a situation. It’s easy to judge when you’re not actually living it.
Dianna I know plenty of people who’s parents smoked who have never touched a cigarette and I also know plenty of people who’s parents never smoked and yet they took up smoking. My partner and both his brothers smoke and their parents never touched a cigarette in their life. It’s all down to the mentality of the person.
I was a chain smoker and gave up overnight aged 36, in 1991. It was obviously uncomfortable giving up, as I had smoked for 22 years, but on a "pain" scale it was practically zero. I have come to the conclusion that the reason people think it is hard to give up is because it has been in the tobacco companies' interest to perpetuate that myth, to hypnotise people into the belief that it's too hard, so they continue smoking. I have to say I bought into the "it's too hard" story and tried several times to quit. The Allan Carr book "The Easy Way To Quit" was a great help, I read it through three times before giving up.
It affects people different that quit. Most of time it's a way to cope, are that toxic friend you can't say no to. when some giving it up, it's like a terrible heart ache, like losing a a person close to you. it all affects people different.
No, it becomes a second hunger. People get lazy and say it's "too hard to quit." You can't just stop smoking. You have to avoid people that annoy you the most. You have to change your diet. Your patterns. Ditch old hang outs.
I am 30, have been smoking 20 a day for 15 years and i am now 2 weeks into my quit. I am ready and determined to do it this time. Fellow ex and current smokers, Let's love ourselves for once!
I have always promised myself that I would quit smoking by age 30. In 4 days I will be 30, and I am without smoking for 21 days. I have been "warming up" all year going for 1 month break here, another month break there, to get my body ready to quit. And this time is the last time. No more smoking cigarettes. It's disgusting.
You just remind me i promise the same for my 30th bday, i’m 39 now and thinking to quit at my 40th bday. Didn’t even remember about that promise untill i read your comment🤣🤦🏼♀️
I’m 33 I’ve been smoking for 18 years from 1 pack a day to two packs a day, last year I was blessed with a baby girl and by looking at her cute smile one thought came to my mind that until now i was living for myself but now I’ve to live for my daughter. So finally in one go I QUIT and i never looked back. It’s been almost 3 months smoke free. I had terrible nicotine withdrawals like shortness of breath, tingling in legs and hands, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, digestive issues (indigestion, gas, bloating and acid reflux). But then something amazing happened i was able to breathe properly first time in last 18 years. My sense is taste and smell got heightened, enjoying activity in general. So quitting was the best decision that I’ve made in my life. Anyone can quit. All you need is a reason to believe and a WILL to quit. 🙏🏻🤟🏼🤞🏼
My dad was a smoker for decades and he recently died earlier this month due to smoking and he worked in a shop on the railroad. If he never picked up a cigarette I know he’d still be alive today. Along with my grandfather he died because of smoking too. I quit when I was 24 and I was smoking at 17. I beg everyone I know that smokes to quit.
I smoked for about 18 years on and off and I quit 2 years ago and I feel amazing today!! I watch videos and read articles to remind myself why I quit, and honestly, it's easy when I go for a walk or hike up and down stairs - or when I swim now. I feel healthier, stronger and younger! The freedom from nicotine is the best feeling in the world, I am stronger mentally as well. Once you quit and get through the first few days, I promise you it will get easier! I power walked to keep my mind on why I was quitting, then I got a cheap treadmill a friend had, literally cheap like $100.00 and it became my best friend and still is today! Now walking is my fix, when I am feeling down or depressed I walk and it's been my saving grace!
hey ,if anyone else trying to find out an easy way to give up smoking try Debuncar Amazing Smoker Aid(just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my buddy got amazing results with it. @ Loren Delonge
It's been a month I stopped (I guess, maybe more, I stopped counting) smoking and it's not the crave but the withdrawal which pissed me off!!! Low oxygen/blood sugar headache, anxiety and shits but I feel the change! No random deep coughing, more positive attitude, excited, outgoing and all positive stuffs...
45 days since I stopped and I already see my skin looking healthier. Its not easy people, but its so relieving to not be addicted to something that gross. Keep up❤️
I am 29 and i have smoked the last 5 years, it was in my final year of college that i had this terrible idea to try it, in the starting i used to smoke 4-5 cig. a day but later until recently it went till a pack a day. Right now i have not touched a cig for 40 hours, and i feel good. yesterday was very hard but today it feels good. I read Allen Carrs easy way to quit smoking and now think i want to get rid of this pathetic crutch we call smoking, so i quit cold turkey 40 hours ago, i am keeping myself on track by watching every video possible about quitting smoking in these initial days and it is helping me greatly I hope anyone reading this gets the motivation to quit.
Im 30yrs i start smoking when i was 16yrs old.. Atlast so many times i tried to quit now i win july 6 2018 i stop smoking and counting i feel so good even when i sing my voice came back.. Stop smoking early live long
We have similar story’s but I haven’t quit yet... that’s why I’m on this video, i started at 12, I’m almost 31 now in June is my birthday. But I got plans to end this disgusting habit one way or the other. Congrats my friend
If you’re out there trying to quit, you got this. I quit over 2 months ago and I’ve never felt better, and just like you probably do, I thought it was impossible.
I am 30... I’ve smoked since I was about 12.....I think about quitting every single day..... I’ve been an addicted drinker since I was about 16, I drank every single day till I was about 21, I quit drinking, havent drank a drop since the age of 21, I got caught up on Percocet for about a year then got on the methadone to try to get off the pills.... I got at a stable dose of 95MG where I could function without withdrawals..... I’m now at 12MG and have been tapering down weekly. I have the drive to quit all the drugs I was doing, coke, extacy, mushrooms, drinking, pills, All of it, I haven’t done any drugs or drank in years.... I think about my health everyday I have anxiety that I’m going to die, I think about how poorly I’ve treated my body all those years and it saddens me to think I was un appreciative of being blessed with a healthy working body’ knowing I’ve been destroying it. Out of all of this stuff smoking has been the hardest to quit. I get motivated everyday, I even rip cigarettes in half to try and lesson the nicotine intake. I’m just depressed probably cause I’m tapering off the methadone which makes my emotions go all over the place. I really want to quit smoking and have my body be free of all the pollution and finally see what it’s like to feel like the real me for once in my fucking life... just to have a clean body and mind where I can think and do things for myself without it being altered by whatever poison is in my body. I’m going to fight and punch back every damn day I don’t care what it takes I’ll lock myself in a room if I have to, just hope I can make it guys, I hope I can do this. Please say a prayer for me, I’m sorry I was so uncaring and reckless with the treatment of my health!
Mate, don't beat yourself for not giving up cigarettes. I'm in the same boat though 10 years older to you and dealing with Anxiety/ Disorder. I understand how you feel as, I too desire each day to live smoke free. Will keep you posted if I find a way to give up smoking , until then I will pray for you mate . PRAY + Support = Liberation. Stay blessed and healthy always my friend
You will really quit when the pain of staying the same (coughing, shortness of breath, heart trouble) is greater than the pain it takes to quit (jitters, irritability).
32. Been smoking since I was 14, have cut down at points over the years, but generally have been a heavy to chronic smoker. in the last 3 years I have started to look a decade older than I should.
I quit 3 days ago, it is so hard but I know I can do it! I’m 26 and have been smoking since I was 12. This is the first time I’ve gone so long without smoking. I really hope the cravings will stop soon.
I quit exacrly at 30... 13 years smoker. Going into my second month, having some anxiety issues but i know i will overcome it by time. Oh boy, what a journey ! HELPFUL VIDEO 👍
my mom was only 35 when smoking made a hole to her lungs (12 ciggaretes a day smoker) , every body has its own different chemistry , QUIT WHILE YOU ARE STILL HEALTHY, DONT GAMBLE WITH YOUR LIFE!!
Started smoking at 15, am 39 now, Quit Dec 26, 2019 and going strong, have been on holiday and away from "work smoke buddies" wish me luck this week back to work! Also read Allan Carr's book on quitting smoking. Great lil tool.
I'm preparing myself to quit smoking again. Last time was in 2014, I quit for a year. I've been really focused on how much I don't like the resin taste. I think it would be best to start quiting as of going to bed. When you get up in the morning, don't have a smoke when you usually do, push it a half hour later. I found that when I had pushed a smoke away two hours, I'd get dizzy spells, so I imagine that the body has worked alot more in those two hours awake detoxing than in the eight hours of sleep in order to get that effect. Just keeping little mental notes on the effects, tastes, smells and overall feelings can help make logical decisions when you decide to quit. I like watching videos like this and reading the comments it really helps
I’m fifty ... the last four years I’ve felt very weakened and been physically not well .. it’s a very low quality of life... I’ve been smoking since birth (my parents smoked in house, car etc) I started around sixteen ... I am barely functioning now ... I am the example of what this guy is talking about... I’ve quit smoking for several weeks about four times over the last four years since I’ve really gone down hill ... I’m trying again now ... two days in ... I don’t think I will get back to functioning unless I quit smoking
I stopped many months ago and never felt any crave that I don't even remember when I stopped and don't feel that I ever smoked! Btw I'm 30 at the time of writing this!!
I am 31.. I have been smoking heavy for 17 years.. I can still run 10 miles none stop fairly easy.. my plan is to complete a marathon in 2023. This is day 2 of no smoking. Wish me luck.
it's my 4th day without smoking I started smoking when I was 13 or 14...I hope this time my will stay strong with me...I been trying quitting cigarettes for years. I'm 29 and "I want to break free" from cigarettes.
@@julianbasse I'm doing fine it's been 4months already???..wow...ok so far I'm doing great...in this 4 months I only smoke two cigarettes...which happens because I was very stressful and the urges for smoking kicks high when you are stressed..so I couldn't controlled myself and I smoke two cigarettes one at a time... After smoking two cigarettes back to back I felt like a loser...I thought may be I can't do this but then I told myself...you been trying to quit this for so many years...this is the first time you came so far...you can't quit now... it's hard but you can do it. After listening to my inner voice I burn all the cigarettes along with the packet...and told myself...I won't lose to my weakness. September 5 2019 was the day I said I quit to smoking And on October 9 I was stressed and smoked two cigarettes... Since October 9 till today I'm clean...and I want remain clean for rest of my life.
What are your views on using a prescription med called welbutrin which is bupropion for reducing the cravings while with me as an example of having ADD and depression from bipolar. I'm also using nicotine inhalers but I've told myself I'm not smoking anymore and that it's going to save me money and I will live longer. Also I wanted to know your views on sleeping during the day rather than at night. Does that shorten your life?
I’m going to be 40 on January 27th and plan I’m quitting before that. Been smoking heavily since I was 13. I feel lousy all the time, I’m embarrassed to smoke in public, they’re to expensive, etc. please pray for me. I’m DONE with this garbage!
Im 28 and quit a week ago and for permanent. I had developed neural issues like hamifacial spasms. Just threw my pack in a garbage. I pray that i get my lost days back.
I used to get hamifacial spasms around my left eye and chronic lower back pain. When I quit smoking / vaping within 2 weeks both issues went away. It's been over a year now and neither symptoms have returned. It's the nicotine itself that causes all these problems.
hey I'm 26 and been smoking cigs and weed since I was 15...iv clean of weed 8 months now. I'm on day 8 with cigs...I did 6 days 5 weeks ago and failed..this time however I'm determined to beat this like I did with cannabis.
@jonnyjone pcwalker Everyone saying weed isn't bad for you is full of shit. Im a huge pothead, and I play games etc just sitting there ripping tokes everyday all day. My lungs are worse and my coughs are worse than people who have been smoking for 40 plus years. I cough crazy black shit up. I'm 27 been smoking weed since 14. Just don't smoke period. Let the idiots that comment saying weed isn't bad, die of lung cancer etc and get COPD, because they're clearly fucking stupid.
Currently on week 3 of quitting smoking tobacco and nicotine and I feel sooo much better. It’s tough the first week and a half but the cravings went away after a week! I still have a quitting smoking cough but it’s getting better daily
I’m 38 been smoking for 20 years and I’m considering quitting. Been smoking two packs a day sometimes more. Quit drinking a few years ago and it was hell going through the withdraw, not sure if I’m strong enough this time around...
I know of a spell caster who can help you stop smoking and drinking alcohol without any stress or delayText Dr William on WhatsApp (+1 956-531-2406) He helped me when my lover wanted to bring shame to my family please if you want to stop drinking alcohol do well to message him. You might think is scam but at first that was what I thought until he helped me. I can't say much try and see for yourself thank you.........
18. Been smoking for 6 months. Looking to quit, but it's too detrimental a part in my lifestyle, and nothing else brings me that illusion of relief. Keeps me sane.
If you do not start until 35 (it can happen to people who grew up sheltered and experiment later than usual) and quit at 45, does the enhanced risk of damage for over 40 still apply, or is that a result of all the years since 16 accumulating? What are the reasons for smoking after 40 being so especially damaging?
Hi, I'm 26.i been smoking for about 8 or 9 years, planning on quitting cold turkey... for the last time. But living with another smoker, so it's gonna be difficult but then again, I feel like I'm in the right mind set these days to quit, i Feel ready, and whenever the other smoker here, lights up... I could remind myself, how much they're harming themselves, without starting to crave it, but the longest i went was 2 weeks. if i can do that I can kick it for good, now. I'll be so much happier!
This is just superb, I have been researching "best quitting smoking methods" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Mackorny Smoking Escape Blueprint - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
7 days . After that its only Psychological. You can do it . But you wont be able to do it in your 30s. Its easy to stop now. Avoid smokers and triggers. You will get gand stalked where you notice everyone smoking snd smiling at you etc. Avoid smokers. Remember. You have to defeat yourself.
Today I decided after 11 years smoking, to quit. I have quit in my first pregnancy. The day I was told that I was pregnant, I quit it. I am very passionate smoker. My daughter was my motivation. I didn't smoke for 2 years. After that I started again. Today I am thinking about my addiction, why I need to smoke, and I came to conclusion, that my daily life is boring. The mentality that, cigarrettes as ritual, with coffee or after lunch, or with alcohol are bringing me happiness, is just a delusional.
I will be 26 soon and i have been a heavy smoker for 10 years,i quit for a week now and i'm never smoking again ( my lungs feel like shit but i feel better already )..
Been smoking since i was 15 im now 28 lungs starting to feel broken and breaths are weak. I failed last week to stop as i started from not having them at work, then having them when i got home, but one bad day i ended up buying some. Its crazy your mind seems to be making up excuses for why to have one like it torments you makes it harder than it needs to be today im going to try and not have one its my day off im home with the kids and its very very hard im getting angry theres my girlfriends tobacco on the side right next to the door do i have one or do i endure ?
