In today's video I take a look at the progress of the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) in Montréal. The first phase of the project in Brossard and Old Montréal was opened on July 31. Phase 2 will extend the REM to the West Island and the North Shore. Phase 3 isn't scheduled to open until 2027 but will bring the REM to the airport.
Construction of the project is very far along with most station buildings reaching almost complete on the exterior and interior work far along as well. The rail corridor is also coming along with rail, overhead wires and noise barriers all being installed. Thanks for watching!
