The fist story is basically : "My husband abused his position at his company to try and harass me at my workplace. He did that on the clock while violating company guidelines, which got him fired. Am I the Butthole?"

Yeah, that whole thing was bizarre. "Richard" is clearly a complete idiot. Probably thought he was being clever by bringing hte kid so he wouldn't get arrested. Let's not forget the receptionist apparently gave him the opportunity to just leave and he refused.

"My *cheating* husband... did that while violating company guidelines *and* a restraining order", even! He's lucky he wasn't arrested, wtf! But I guess, like FDM said above, that was what he brought his kid along to prevent.

That lawyer story was disgusting. I couldn't imagine breaking my back and taking out loans so someone I thought loved me could get a higher education only for that person to say "Im breaking up with bc I'm at a high social standing then you" He was the reason she made it to her higher social standing and my main question is did she stick him with the bill? She's not a feminist, she's a user and a proper garden tool and if OP is still friends with her it speaks volumes and I hope her husband is paying attention.

Also, the fact that he needs his mom permission to move is kind of a red flag, I mean, OP has been the owner for 7 years, even if she got it at 18, I'd say she's now 25, so her boyfriend should also be in his 20's. If he still needs mommy to give him permission it says a lot about how dependent he is on her. Also, the mother being that overprotective is something that OP would have to deal her whole life if she let his boyfriend move. Not worth it, let him still live with his mom or on his own (it would be better on his own so he cuts the umbilical cord), and maybe give it a couple of years before considering living together again.

If it's her debt, then she needs to deal with it herself or ask her husband to see if he will help, this way they can plan cutbacks *TOGETHER* until it's paid back. Last story: I would definitely lean more towards some form of anxiety disorder or possibly OCD rather than drugs, etc. An early stage addict usually sees themselves as in control of their habit. If they were aware enough of their problem to squirrel away money, they would be aware enough to also deal with the addiction, such as looking into rehab. Also, the behaviour of taking food to restaurants is not consistent with "saving money", especially since she then wasted the salad. That's why I suggest something more anxiety related. Could be germ phobia, some form of need to control what she eats, or similar. I'm not a therapist, but I'd definitely recommend that she see one.

Wait, so. In the first story, Richard, the man, shows up to OP's work, who is presumably female, to request child support... For a child that can be proven is not hers? The birth mother is always on record. How did he think he could ever get child support, lol
@N0xiety
@N0xiety 2 года назад
I mean, same can be done to men and it can succeed. Women can register a child on some random guy or some guy they dated, and then the man has to go prove the child isn't his. If he can't prove or doesn't show up, well, be locked into paying child support. And if they don't pay, they go to jail. Search youtube for the guy who has gone to prison for 5 years, for not paying child support, for a child that isn't his. It was finally proven with dna test that he wasn't the father of the child, wasted 5 years of his life, couldn't be there for his actual 8 years old child. The court just wouldn't listen or takes their sweet time, it's pretty much what a nightmare looks like. And for the woman who claimed the child as his causing him to waste 5 years in prison, slap on the wrist, no repercussions. There are other men having to pay child support even when they have gone to court requesting dna test multiple times, and some even sneaking dna material from the child to prove that the child isn't theirs. The court just doesn't listen and neglect the guy for years. Most eventually succeed, but they never get the money they have wasted over the years back. And the women always gets a slap on the wrist... Hell, there are some who have definitive proof the child isn't theirs with court proven dna test after years of struggle, but then the court says they have payed for all these years(well duh they are forced to) so now they have become a provider to the child or some other bs, so they should keep paying anyways as the child 'needs' their money to be looked after. I shit you not, this is the kind of stuff that would make a normal man snap and take the path of murder. It's that fcked up, i couldn't imagine being in such a fcked up situation. Sure, doing it to a woman is highly unlikely to succeed compared to a man, but yea, guess that's where he got the idea from...

@@N0xiety I totally agree. It used to be like this in my country, but some laws concerning parenthood were changed some 10-15 years ago. Until then a mother could, in theory, put the name of a random guy on the birth certificate as the father, then claim child support and the guy would have to pay. The man could dispute parenthood in court, but could prove it only via DNA test, which the mother, as sole custodian, would have to agree to, thus if she was out for a scam, the guy would be screwed. But this detail was changed, now the DNA test has to be done, if requested.
@TheMizAngel
@TheMizAngel Год назад
@@ThePuschkin1986That can only be done in the case of marriage. You cannot claim child support from a random man without a DNA test. However if you're married the husband is automatically assumed to be the father and has to pay for child support. That isn't the same in the case of the wife being asked for child support in this case because she doesn't have a birth certificate as a mom

As a healthcare worker she should know that that's a health risk, if not an outright violation. Plus, it doesn't make sense to go to a restaurant, take up a table, and not eat the food! Lol… welllll…. In the real world, let’s be honest, what she did was a whole lot closer to that oldest profession than feminism. Like opposite ends of the spectrum 🤨😆 her friend is clearly justifying being a gold digger by contorting the heck out of the definition of feminism. She’s using a buzzword to shut down any discussion or criticism. I guarantee she had no intention of staying with the guy one day longer than she had to. She manipulated his feelings in any way required only as long as was necessary. They used to refer to this sort of behavior as something far less pc than being a “gold-digger”. She’s a toxic destructive selfish b*tch… at least sugar daddy/baby relationships are open and mutually agreed to, enter at your own risk, but her friend was deceitful from day one no matter the cost to the guy. I ended a couple relationships with “friends” when I was younger because I refused to sit by and pretend it was cute or empowering or “being strong and independent”.

He threw a huge tantrum over the bill at a restaurant where he calculated that it was $45 but it was actually $65. He told them that he wouldn't pay that and would only pay the $45 cause his mom was a math teacher ect ect. Also, being a lawyer is a fairly lucrative job, yet YOU don't want to be the one paying the bills because you're the woman? Don't get me wrong, people are allowed to have standards for what they're looking for in a partner, but if the woman was going to dump the guy after she got her degree/job, why stay with him the first place? The final story: if you're so determined to save money, why are you wasting the gas to drive to and from the restaurant if you're just going to bring your own food? My mom was a nurse but now she works at a rehab and she’s told me stories. The wife in the last one has a very high chance of being a drug addict. Former drug addicts tell her that this is how it starts, cutting corners on costs as much as possible, then they start to pawn their own possessions. Then they start stealing from people around them, such as family. One thing leads to another and they start pick pocketing. The only reason people really go to the rehab is because if they do, they avoid going to jail after they’re caught, that and family/friends intervening.

The woman who is having her privacy violated by her boyfriend's mother should heed the major red flags that he is waving. If he can't repect her privacy now he's never going to, and neither is his mother. She should dump the loser and find someone more respectful.

I just adore your little story about leaving all those little notes for your wife while you were gonna! That's genuinely so sweet & precious ❤ It seems like you really love & value her very much! I bet those silly little notes mean the world to her!

Last story: I think you hit the nail on the head with the last possibility and it goes along with what I was thinking it could be. This is sudden, unnecessary behavior and she's a healthcare worker right now? It screamed anxiety to me. Anxiety will hijack your brain and make you act defensively in the weirdest ways.

The sticky note story is utterly hilarious and I laughed so hard when I first read it

I am a nurse and I am currently coping with overworking with retail therapy. But not in a way that would ever have me take something from someone i love so gambling or alcoholism or hoarding to the point of mental health problem is absolutely possible in her case. I feel the pull to go overboard

The last story could be a mental problem: Maybe someone in her family or at work died of a illness because he lost all his money and had no savings. Stress can be a trigger. A friend of mine went through something like that. He saved all his money, never bought new things and started to do weird stuff like looking through the trash. His wife threatened to divorce him and finally he went to therapy. Turned out, his father killed himself because he had cancer and thought he could not afford treatment. When my friend reached the same age as his father and work became difficult something snapped.

So... he pays all the bills and _she_ kicks _him_ out of the bedroom? No, no, no... thats _not_ how _anything_ works. If you don't want to sleep next to me in _my_ bed in the house _I_ pay for, then _you_ sleep somewhere else!

The first story about op who has a restraining order against her deadbeat husband and his mistress is that she needs to go to the court and inform the judge that she is not trying to save her marriage but that she is trying to end the marriage because of her deadbeat husband and his mistress that ruined his marriage to begin with
