It's sad that she only approves of it because she's getting something out of it. I hope she's as supportive when he finds a hobby that is just for him and of no benefit to her.
@@listey A little unnecessarily cynical there, don't you think? Like, okay, I can see how you can twist, "I'm so delighted that he's learning a new skill, so that I can have a custom blanket," into she only approves of it because she is getting something out of it. But with the context of everything else? I honestly think it is a slightly poorly worded glowingly happy wife, celebrating the man she loves and cherishes. She is amazed that instead of going out and buying a chunky yarn blanket for her, or asking his aunt to make one for her, that he decided to try something new to learn a new skill for just the sake of learning it. I mean, sure, you can chose how you interpret the story, but I am going to chose to believe they are an utterly wholesome family.
@@dposcuro I agree. I was smiling at the end of the story, happy to hear of a loving couple where the husband was showing his love by making something and the wife appreciating his efforts.
As a knitter and crocheter, who have a husband that can't tell the difference between the two, after 16 years of marriage, I get tears in my eyes over the last story.
Story 1: apparently it was a surprise all the way around. If the other woman had known this was to be a threesome, she would not have scrambled around to cover herself when OP walked in. Right?;
That's very much the reason. The guy was talking about a Threesome so he could bring in the girl he cheats with and not have any guilt about it. Obviously the other girl had no idea what he was doing.
Exactly, if the other woman was informed of his supposed plan, wouldn't she strike a sexy pose with a "come hither" finger wage or something? Not have a clear as day "oh no the wife is home!" reaction?
Because its something so personal but also universal. We have all either been cheated on or know someone who was cheated on so it fires up the emotional centers in a lot of people.
The fact the third story is openly labeled 'happy story' is great. That aside, second story, I imagine the town lost more money on trying to sue OP than trying to handle the plant. But I also imagine it's a small town that thought it could bully people around.
Story 2: Can definitely confirm the story. I lived in the next town over and the town government was horrible when it came to anything lining their pockets. Alot of people were happy when the plant closed down, the smell was so bad that on extremely windy days you could smell it from miles outside of town. I'm just surprised it wasn't shut down sooner due to affecting other towns
Story 2: All of this over OP being frustrated with the pollution and wanting to call out the town. Those attempts to censor are pretty bad though, OP had the right to express their frustrations
The first amendment is supposed to restrict all levels of government. But if OP wanted to be petty, he could redo the page with a big "Town government sued me to pull down the site, despite everything on the site being factual, this should tell you the current status of the town.". Although what they did qualifies as potential defamation. As they intentionally tried to shut him out and made some bad faith actions regarding the situation, if I understand things.
The question is did the plant exist prior to the house being built? An odor does NOT mean pollution. There was a cow farm in my local area that has been there for over a century. Obviously it smells like cow and dung. A few years ago someone decided to build houses adjacent to it. People bought the houses knowing there was some smelly cows next door. They decided to do what his guy did and go after the farm because "it smells". People like this make me so mad.
@@Miller54K Cow manure actually does emit pollution mostly through storage methods, especially liquid storage, which emit large amounts of methane. Cows themselves are the biggest agricultural source of greenhouse gasses worldwide. While I also agree with you that what people are doing to that guy is disgusting and overzealous we do have to acknowledge that he is producing pollution. They should leave that guy alone why buy a house you know is right next to a cow farm. It makes seem incredibly more stupid that they choose to live there knowing that cows are so pollutive.
@@Miller54K Same thing happens here. There has been a speedway in the area forever, and in the last decade or so there have been massive housing developments close by. People know where they're buying. And when the speedway season begins some Karen's complain and try to get it shut down.
Love that last husband and his sweet surprise for his Wife! Good for the both of them and their wholesome deception, effort to show love, and excitement at surprising each other!
*First OP:* This is next-level gaslighting from OP's ex. Did he seriously think that excuse would work? LOL! Best of luck to OP. *Third OP:* That was a nice contrast to the first story (as was the second story, I guess). OP's got a keeper.
I'm getting so sick of everyone throwing around the term "gaslighting" on every single damn story erroneously but finally, finally someone actually used the word more or less correctly.
@@Intacfil You don't read enough comments in here on cheating stories apparently. There are at least two more comments on just this story that use it and anytime there is a cheating story in here where the cheater tells one lie, the gaslighting comments commence.
@@stevenandcarminabeedle9089I am so sorry that happened to her! Cheaters are nauseating!

@@IFBBProYeo, I know, right! I mean, if you're unhappy in the marriage/relationship, talk about it! Sort it out. Solve it... or if you can't, go your separate ways, how hard is that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ah, I've heard Story 3 before, but it still makes me grin. I think Rslash needs a wholesome story now and again, you can literally hear the light in his voice when he reads about adorable people doing nice things for each other. ❤️
Yeah as soon as r/slash read the husband wanted alone time but in the house I figured he was making her blanket 🥰 If he were cheating like we all thought he was at the title he would’ve asked for more than an hour away from home and no phone calls probably lol
Story 1: I don't know if this guy thinks OP' s self-esteem and self-worth is that low, or he's delusional beyond comprehension, or just plain stupid. Either way the fact somewhere in my brain so he could cheat on his girlfriend and tell her to be grateful for it, it's just beyond words other than, get his ass out of there now.
The thing is, let's just assume that he's telling the truth. He is not of course but just for fun, go with it. Even if true, this is such a terrible way to go about it, that alone is worth kicking his out for it. You do NOT do something like this without talking about it in depth ahead of time.
story 1: what the fuck? brother, RULE ONE of relationships and kinks are "ask before you do it." having [passionate hugging] with another woman without your significant other's permission is just flat out wrong.
Last story is so so sweet. I crochet for my family very often. Make baby blankets for their friends and plenty of my family want custom blankets from me. What inspired me was my grandma who would pick someone random every year and send that year crocheting soemthing personal and beautiful for them. I want to be that one day. To make soemthing the family is so excited to get picked and receive. I love crocheting cause no matter how bad my health conditions get I can crochet without much energy being used up and feel accomplished in my creations. That last story is just so damn sweet for someone to learn a whole skill to bring such love and joy to their partner. That's such a pure honest love.
Story 2: did OP's lawyer make the town government retract what they said about OP when the reporter interviewed people? Cause that could affect OP somehow in the future considering how they were practically calling OP a liar and whatever else they were gaslighting about
My dad is one of those cheaters that tries to justify their cheating. When one of my siblings got into a committed relationship, he said to them that sometimes you cheat on the people you love. To this day, he will say the cheating was a mistake but then says nobody's perfect and that he doesn't regret anything so yeah 🙄
Op i would have just said "yeah you did do me a favour by sleeping with another person, a big one considering the favor was breaking up with a disgusting cheater and gaslighter"
I want that... My marriage ended 3 weeks ago... I was with this person for 10 years... But we grew apart, there was no drama or wrongdoing, we just grew apart... I'm heartbroken but hopeful... I've heard somewhere that our true love is either the first or last. I mean to make it so it is the last in my case. I just got really anxious to have someone to surprise with a yarn blanket or to get such a surprise from... But alas, sometimes life is bitter so we savor it like coffee. If you reached this point thanks for reading my rant... You're one of the good ones!
Story #1 - Why is nobody else noticing the discrepancy about the girlfriend coming home early and unexpectedly due to her migraine, and the boyfriend's excuse of 'warming her up', when he could not have known she'd be home early?
His excuse that he was "prepping" her is supposed to make OP think he was doing it before she normally got home as a surprise and that they'd be "ready" for when she did eventually get home.
Yeah no, the boyfriend is a cheater and gaslighter if you’re going to try and do a 3 way sort of relationship there’s a lot of discussion that goes into it beforehand, not only that but it’s not something you just spring up like a “surprise!!!” sort of thing… plus both partners should be involved.
The blanket one is my favorite. My husband loves doing surprises, however, super sucks at keeping it a secret from me. He'll say, "I got a surprise for you but I'm not saying what it is." Me: "ok" Him: "alright you dragged it out of me!" 😂
Story 1: Being that he didn’t know OP was coming home yet, how long was he “fluffing,” the girl for her. I’ve heard some really BAD excuses for cheating, but I think he’s a record holder at this point.
I've also heard the excuse of "i cheated because i love you but i have physical needs" a lot. Thinking that they can get their full elsewhere and everything would be fine
Story 2: Reminds me of a news story here in the UK of an abattoir that popped up next door to a family. The poor kids bedroom faced the place and they could hear EVERYTHING. It took them ages to sell up because no one wanted to live next door.
I legit started crying over the husband making a blanket! It's just so sweet, and after all the posts of people mistreating/cheating on their partners it's just wonderful to see!
Omg I recently started crocheting and making a whole ass blanket is QUITE the task, especially as a beginner fiber artist. Chucky yarn will work up quicker of course, because it's larger but that is still such a massive act of love from the husband
Last story about the blanket: That is so adorable! And even though the husband couldn't keep it a secret, it was a nice gesture to let OP choose the next color. I'm working on a blanket myself for my mom for Mother's Day, and I have almost slipped up a couple of times about my knitting progress, but I will desperately try to keep my mouth shut. It is almost done, but I'll still have to wait like a month until I can actually give it to her. It won't be perfect, it has "character", but I hope she will like it 😂
The last story made me cry😭😭 It's so thoughtful and sweet of op's husband, not only does he pay attention to her wants, he also took time to learn a new skill, choosing op's favourite color for the yarn and keeping it a secret from her all while still taking care of their children. Op is blessed to have someone who loves her like that. It's making ME jealous
i was so prepared for story 3 to be sad, the 'i just had a baby and my husband is cheating on me' type thing, then she mentioned a bag from a craft store and I'm not crying.. its onion cutting ninjas.. her hubby is so sweet
Ngl I was also fooled by the last story. I wasn't expecting such a wholesome surprise. Maybe that's saying something about me or the nature of most reddit stories but even Rslash was surprised.
Story #2 : I was just listening to the story and heard that it happened in Iowa. I'm just sitting here thinking, "Cool, some drama in Iowa. I am curious about what part. Probably no where near me though." 12:32 "...in Sibley, Iowa..." Me : "WAIT WHAT! IN SIBLEY!"
It’s funny because even if his story WAS true, which it’s obviously not, why would the girl act shocked and confused/cover herself up if that was the case. Wouldn’t she have done something like smile at her and encourage her to join?
Nah that’s the guilt in the first story. Had he been telling the truth, he wouldn’t have been immediately running off at the mouth and sputtering with excuses.
I love the wholesome ending, I think it would be nice to have a wholesome story more often at the end of the videos! Some of these people are just too much sometimes, and a small cute story is always good to hear :)
I thought the husband was cheating too based off the title. "He doesn't know I know" Me: "Yep he's cheating". But no he's a great husband who's terrible at keeping secrets
11:00 I admit, thats detail i didnt know... but i did know, or was able to figure out atleast, what the abrevitation stands for... and im smart enough to know that this is a good sign for op.
First story: Imagine being so bad at lying and gaslighting that for cheating you come with the excuse that "you wanted to. I did you a favor by doing so". That dude just wanted to cheat and is trying in vain and in a stupid way to blame OP for that.
Surprise Threesome: my father told me a story once where he was dating two girls at the same time, and one day he accidentally scheduled them both to show up at his house on the same day. out of desperation he tried "so I bet you're wondering why I've asked you both here..." he said one of them hesitated, and might have actually gone for it, but the other one was an instant "no", and that was the end of that. I think the same thing is going on here, he was just trying to gaslight her in an attempt to save the situation.
