That Muppet story is actually kind of adorable and wholesome. I’m just imagining the two using the puppet as a kind of stress ball or therapist, just talking to it and getting things off their chest. It’s almost like what Mr Rogers would do for the crew of his show. Grown adults just talking through their problems with puppets.
First Story: This entire story was a train wreck but in a good way somehow lmao. To be honest, my first thought to a life size muppet of me would be "this woman is insane" but nope, this man was upset over his mom cheating on his dad and he was more than ok with the puppet of himself. I'm glad everything worked out but that twist is something I didn't expect

Actually , you can absolutely use your company money to pay for your house expense, just with a little trick. Put the house you live in to "office" category , not family home , and now its legal... people do this all the time in my country, i dont think its only unique here though.

The mupped story is actually so cute. I felt the anxiety and dread when she said that he was ignoring her and then that stomach dropping feeling she must have felt when he said they needed to talk. I'm so glad for them that it all worked out and they seem so adorable and happy together

We don't know any laws were broken. There probably was but we don't know that. If he's sole owner of his own company with no co-owners, investors, partners, etc. he can do whatever the hell he wants with company money as long as he files his taxes correctly. It's perfectly legal for corporations to pay for apartments for mistresses.
The last story was so obvious! as soon as the line "she said she couldn't believe how good I looked" was uttered my brain screamed 'she is only interested in his money' why because he looks like he has money. Everyone told him not to do it and yet he did, what a dumba**!
OMG That first story with the muppet XD! Reminds me of how my husband and I are, at least in regards to silliness. For us, it's a life-sized plastic skeleton named Danny. We both randomly move him around our apartment, setting him up in different poses, just to surprise each other.
My Lady Wife and I have several teddy bears. These predate our daughter's birth. When we were working opposite shifts, she would come home to find them getting in all sorts of mischief. Once they were studying a book on magic, another time they were playing poker, another time watching TV, etc.
Ngl, as an artsy freak, I thought big John was adorable. Making a 1:1 Muppet of your boyfriend and revealing it mid foreplay is insane and I love those two with all my heart.
The Muppet couple are definitely my kind of people. Relationships are made stronger with lots of love, communication, and laughter. My late husband and I would joke, tease, and engage in total silliness just about every day. Even his proposal has me laughing to this day. He picked the date of May 7. When I asked why May 7, he said, "Pearl Harbor Day." I told him that was December 7. He said, "Yeah, I know. But I know that if I miss an anniversary, there's going to be war." I miss him every day. ❤
That first story makes me happy. They both seem like a good fit for each other. The only thing I would say is, in the future, it’s okay just to ask. It can be uncomfortable and it’s good not to push people too hard, but if you aren’t sure how someone is feeling or what the issue is, the direct approach is often the best.

Yeah, for story 1, I was also thinking that the gf was definitely a psycho stalker who was going to end up murdering her bf/ex bf. I guess the reason why is we get some sort of mental image of a disturbing looking puppet.. but the pictures... oh man, those pictures of the puppet are freakin hilarious 😂 Without those pictures, I could easily understand why anyone hearing this story would think her bf going NC for a while made sense, lol. But yeah, having those added to the story made it a lot more wholesome. She's weird. He's weird. They're both weird together and are in love. It's just a funny and wholesome story! 😂
As some who’s had the displeasure of studying and interacting with the psycho stalker murdery kind of weird- This behavior is not remotely like that. People watch too many shitty horror movies and crime shows. I wouldn’t, however, be surprised if OP was some flavor of neurodivergent. Probably with a special interest in disney and muppets. Very cute, but only some peoples type dating wise and certainly Not remotely creepy or threatening. That instinct people have to mistrust this kind of behavior is usually rooted in being exposed to alot of subtly ableist media- where people with neurodivergence, mental health problems, or physical disabilities are depicted as threatening and dangerous.
Story 1: OP is weird, but a very good kind of weird. She's fit in just fine around here, lol. Cute couple behavior aside, BF needs to learn to communicate better, much better. Nah, a lot of people just don't know what quirky people are actually like being closed doors. Many of them dial it down around "normal" people for the sake of their comfort.
Story 1: i'm also a little bit of a quirky person that likes arts and crafts and, to be completely honest, if my partner got a new sewing machine and decided that the first thing they want to do with it is a goofy muppet of me, i would be so happy! I really like making crafts for others and the first few attemps always come out crooked, upside down, lopsided and messy, but i still enjoyed making them thinking of the person who would recieve them, so to have someone do the same for me would be awesome. On another point, kudos to OP for making the puppet, the thing is huge and i can see in my head the struggle to keep all of it on the table while struggling to feed it through the sewing machine; it must have taken an entire afternoon at least!

Maybe but not necessarily. Sounds like they are pretty well off so the company funds he's using could very well be his own company. Of course depending on circumstances, that could still be embezzlement or misappropriation of funds or whatever but it can be done.

1st story - those two are gonna be together for a long time. Some people are just perfect for each other and that's what it sounds like to me. Last story : I'm usually against the whole "men paying for everything" trope, but OP got a tiny little bit of what he deserves. Cheating isn't a simple lie, it's making the original relationship a continuous lie instead.

I bloody love that muppet! A friend of mine made a female muppet style thing when we were in collage. she was....gifted, shall we say. and...anatomically correct. and at one point in a cage on the ceiling apparently. her name was Beatrice Menai. She was my bestie, we would sit and talk about boys. and put a wig on her and people thought she was real.
Unfortunately, judgemental people tend to shame the weird out of people like OP and make her feel horrible for being silly and having fun. There are definitely more people out there like her, we just rarely get to see them because they are socially pressured into being boring in public

Story 3: I’m glad he broke up with Sarah despite breaking her heart, because she deserved so, so much better, he would’ve no doubt cheated on her and ruined Sarah’s life and I’m not surprised she feels betrayed. He’s such a weak man that some mild temptation was enough for him to destroy his life. Sarah deserves much better than him, I hope she finds happiness in the future!
For the first story, I don’t think OP is weird at all. For her to take time to make a mini BF is cute and funny. She didn’t give off any psycho vibes whatsoever. She’s just creative and artsy like all us artists are.
“If the roles were reverse..” I would find it hilarious!! Of course, the context of your relationship matters. If you have a super typical or maybe dry relationship with someone (especially if it’s early in), and then they whip out a doll of you.. creepy. But you have a partner who you regularly make super silly jokes with at all times and you know is into crafting things? And they made it specifically to hold your glasses as a joke? I’d be honored!
Story 1 is a hoot an a half. But I can't shake how creepy it would be though. So glad it worked out. I would be scared though if my partner did this. Either scared or out my mind laughing.
My deceased wife graduated from Barnum and Bailey Clown College (she also got her B.A. and M. Div.). For a short period of time (long before we met), she worked as a puppeteer. She even made some puppets. I loved hearing the stories about puppeteering, and I like seeing puppets on stage (and finger puppets with children and such), but when she would pull out her puppets (not marionettes) and bring them to life, it would creep me out! I couldn't tell her simply because I love her. I made sure her kids received the puppets.
