The Karen complaining about Loki doesn’t know her Norse mythology at all - in the myths, Loki is a shape-shifter and can be male or female. Marvel takes a lot of major license with the myths, but at least they got that part right. Sheesh!

So Loki transformed into a mare to lure away his horse so he couldn't finish the job(and thus not get paid). It caught her. So Loki ended up giving birth to Slepnir.

Loki was actually bisexual and genderfluid in the original Norse myths from hundreds of years ago so it’s actually more accurate for him to be those things on the show.
Most prechristian cultures had a much more fluid and accepting view of gender identities. It isn’t until the development of monotheism, that these structures limiting the ways people could express their identity began to form.

I'm from the San Antonio area and I know a lot of people who didn't vote for Trump who went anti-mask quick. And I work in a town outside of S.A. at a bakery and let me tell you how we were lambasted at people who refused to wear masks even when we told them repeatedly they have to and had signs EVERYWHERE saying as much. The sourse I'd read claimed that "in a meeting of the gods; Loki's father demanded he stop the craftsman from completing the fortifications of Asgard in one season so that they would not have to give him the son, moon, and Freya as payment" when the actual source only states that the gods collectively told him to on pain of death. Meanwhile other sources claim Loki's father was a giant, so him gifting his horse-baby to Odin was just a thing he did.

I count myself lucky. I have a vegetarian sister (she doesn't mind cooking meat, weirdly cooks the best steaks) and a vegan one (you couldn't pay her to touch meat). The only thing they have done is trick my brothers and I into eating less meat. They don't do the whole militant vegetarian/vegan nonsense, they will promote their diet but they don't force it or gate keep. Hell, only the vegan one will complain if we cook bacon, it's the only meat she misses.

Technically it is shown, there's a very brief look at the report that shows Loki's info and it says "Gender: Fluid" but that's it. You'd have to look fast to see it or pause it at the right time so yea it's pretty ridiculous.

Depends where they are, in small towns like mine, there are few vegan or vegetarian options, so it's rather often that I can't get meat substitutes and instead have to eat carbohydrate rich foods (pasta bakes, sandwiches, etc) Obviously I do not condone her behavior, and non-vegans are obviously allowed to eat vegan foods like tofu, but I can understand being mildly annoyed if something is out of stock
Weirdly enough, that Craiglist post looks awesome. Can you imagine a new kind of job where you pay someone to prevent troublesome guests from causing trouble at an important event, especially one such as a wedding? It's a great idea, isn't it? I've was kept at a job previously as I was the only person a VERY difficult woman would talk to and not escalate everything to nuclear, if she didn't get her own way. We have to live as black ppl tho so every racist we come across will probably show those characteristics (not usually outright but in passive aggressive tones) so we know what to look out for, while every racist they come across will just be a normal person usually so "intimidated" means smth different based off our experiences. I'm sitting here having an RSLASH afternoon, playing one after another after another. So this is an old one. And a year later I'm sitting here with Covid thanks to one of my grandsons lol. As a person who has worn a mask for probably the last 15 years (severe allergies) I don't see the problem. Once Covid hit I actually felt like I was normal walking around with their masks on lol
Fun fact a lot of those small businesses that complied with the masked mandate still went under because they couldn't stay in competition with places like walmart.
I remember working in a grocery store, and one day I had an 11 hour shift, where I had the responsibility for the whole store. 5 minutes past closing time, I was about to lock the doors, when I saw this couple running from the sidewalk, over the parking lot. I locked the doors right in their faces and turned around lol. Not much brings me greater joy. Really hasn't got anything to do with Karens, but I just wanted share some happiness with you all lol

My eldest daughter was eating vegan for a while (had to change some things on doctor's orders), and weirdly, several of her work colleagues were shocked because she never tried to shame, lecture,or convert anyone. She would answer questions, but worked on a live and let live policy.

After hearing stories like this, part of me keeps hoping that they're fake. I mean, this is Reddit, where some people post for internet clout. But, I also know I had customers get snarky and upset when I told them to leave the store 40 minutes after close just last night.
I wish it was fake. My father in law is an anti-mask Karen, and I heard him literally teaching his wife on how to harass employees if they’re told to wear masks inside. These people exist, they vote, and they’re psycho.
