Normally don't comment on your vids, but as a animal shelter manager in a poor area of North Carolina, I wanted to say thank you for the disclaimer regarding adopt fro shelters. I truly appreciate it. I completely understand why some need to go to breeders for allergy reasons; such as you did. But a HUGE THANK YOU for pointing folks to shelters to adopt. Shelter dogs are just so misunderstood. I got my own first dog from a rescue group and he was the sweetest boy ever. Sure you might not know how old they are, but it makes the time you spend with them even more precious
I got my dogs from the streets. In my country, people are religious and must stick to their religion. They can't eat pork, they can't touch dogs and cannot use their left hand to shake hands nor touch food because apparently left hands are for hygiene. I see a lot of dogs eating trash and starving. I even saw a bunch of dogs who has serious injuries. They either fought each other and got injured or was being abused and beaten by someone. Sadly, my father doesn't let me keep them because they always eats his chickens but I hope they one day, they'll have a place to call home.
i am a professional animal breeder (cats) and i greatly appreciate the work you do people like you keep animals safe and save them from the evils of the world. i have to essentially perform a background check on the people buying my animals and have them sign paperwork that the animal will be cared for and not mistreated or declawed ( its kill cutting off your finger tip super cruel) and i make random checks so many people are in breach of contract and lose their cat from me even after all that work some cats have even been euthanized cause my vet said that there was to much damage. and thats after i make them sign contracts, they pay thousands of dollars, and i have checked their background. glad to know your out there helping animals in need
I got my sweet little dog from a shelter when I was 7. 14 years later she is still fiesty as hell. She was abused before we got her. She was so skiddish. Now she is nothing but a spoiled rotten princess.
I got a lot of respect for reputable shelters but you need to remember you get your animal bred by mills and back yard breeders. A reputable breeders animal never ends up in a shelter. Adopt and Shop responsibly!

Dog naming goof: Someone abandoned a full breed pekinese dog on my parents' front lawn. The dog was very friendly and had a cute personality. My family posted signs on all the surrounding streets about the found dog. We took out an ad in the newspaper and ran it daily for a month. No one ever claimed the dog. In the meantime we had been refering to the dog as Poochie. Finally, we accepted that the owner did not want the dog back. My mom and dad decided to keep the dog. My mom took the dog to our vet. When asked what the dog's name was, my mother said Daisy. (I don't know where she got that from.) However, the dog never answered to Daisy. She only responded to the name Poochie. My mom eventually had to get the vet to change her name on the records. When we were out with the dog, people would ask what her name was. We all felt sheepish when we answered Poochie. Then we would have to expain why she had a silly name. As to why she was abandoned by her original owner, due to puppy mill inbreeding, she had an itchy skin condition and a defective heart. Despite that she was a smart dog, well trained, adorable and lovable. We were all so sad when she died of her heart condition. She was the first dog in a family of cat lovers.
