Dude as soon as he would say i have to do labour for another company , i would say i need this in writing and when i got that say shove it, if he writes u up or fires you let the sh*t hit the fan and go straith to HR and see what they have to say about that.

I was that manager actually when I worked at a restaurant. I helped the other managers get the stick out of their ass as we were hiring highschoolers, which their schedules are always fucked. But we got more job recommendations, and a low turnover rate pretty fast

Employees don't quit bad jobs, they quit bad management. I've lived by this mindset, and have applied it to every supervisory position I've held. My workers never go without, whether that be food or tools. I never ask my people to do anything I wouldn't do myself, and I perform the most difficult tasks myself. If one of my people goes above and beyond in their duties, I petition the boss for increased wages or a bonus on their behalf. As a father of four, I also realize that family comes before anything, and make sure to grant time-off whenever possible. I wouldn't dare claim to be the best manager on the planet, but I rest easy knowing that my people will go to bat for me, just as I do for them. Far too many employers and managers have lost sight of what really matters, and treat people like disposable objects.

@@SkunkApe407 I agree, a lot of management seem to forget its the workers that make up the backbone of the company. Without those people the company will soon collapse. A happy, well looked after workforce isn't just good for the workers but for the managers and company owners too. Employees are eager to get to work, their productivity goes up, they tend to be willing to go that little bit extra for their bosses, and it creates a filter down effect to their customers and clients. You can always tell a bad workplace from a good one, and guess which tends to get repeat customers when there's a choice.

I had a district manager like this who never worked in the stores she watched over. She did not last long because of this.

Yeah, you have to wonder where they find these people. He does understand that by losing the experienced workers and replacing them with new workers, he making the company less money, right? You look at profit as productivity minus cost, the productivity is decreased as these people are trained and learn how things work, meanwhile the costs stay at the relatively same level. A high turnover rate means less productivity.

They see raw dollar amounts and greed and are typically psychopathic, narcissistic, petty, and entitled short sighted penny pinchers. Literally the reason the economy is more often than not in shambles or companies go under. They view skimping a few cents here and there while literally undermining the core product that generates the revenue of the company as great practices. Then side step responsibilities more often than not or are in positions WAY past their competency by brown nosing, backstabbing and/or nepotism.

I dont understand why she wasnt only invited for the last week you were there that way she couldnt out stay her welcome even if she wanted to. Its a shame she spoilt your childhood holidays if i was your mum id have had her bags packed on the last day of the week and a car to take her home or to a hotel if she didnt want to go home but she would be told she could do her own thing and stay away she had her week with them that she was invited to thats it lol . I twice upset family after the kids came home from hospital after spending their first weeks and months in hospital due to been premature i said when they came home we want no visitors for at least a week people were far from happy when we locked the doors and didnt answer the door when people came they were warned but assumed we would have to answer and let them in if they came they were in for a shock lol. I hate people turning up all the time when there is a new baby thinking its ok and they have a right to see the baby when they want to and the parents are too polite to say no, both parents and baby need that quiet time to bond rest and get settled i refuse to visit until baby is at least 2 weeks and only if the parents are ready. I always tell new parents lock the doors and relax for at least a week and never feel guilty about turning people away many parents have said after i told them to do this how much nicer it was and less stressful when they locked the doors and ignored visitors from when they had their first child and had people in and out all day and night for 2 weeks then nothing when they really could have done with some help this way they could choose and say who came and then they could help out too when needed granny or a aunt etc they want to visit well they take baby for a hour while mum and dad had some sleep after all they are there to see baby not the parents they want to visit they get to babysit for a hour 😁

My maternal grandparents owned 4 cabins on the lake across from their house. We would go up before season started, repair and put in the docks, cleaned, painted and prepped the cabins.. and on and on. My grandmother, instead of being appreciative, complained and whined about everything. I learned to get up early and get out of sight. The neighbor used to find my brother and I hiding behind his boat house.. and would take us fishing.
