In this video I take a look at one of the best features to come to the Rapsodo MLM2PRO! R-Speed. With speed training becoming more and more relevant in the game this is a welcome update.

Thanks for the video, informative. I just purchased my Super Speed sticks my physical therapist started me to use the speed sticks to gain speed while rehabbing. With my MLM2PRO this is excellent, I hope they do add the option to choose the color of the stick in the future.

Thanks! Yes fingers crossed they add that feature. Good luck with the rehab mate!

I like how you start your swing w your right knee. I’ve never seen that before.

Suggestion: try to record 3 sessions, one with each color and then just name the session to the color post session to review. Then when you do it again, do the same process and add a date or #2 after it

I did think if this but with the workouts you tend to jump around with the different colours so it would be a bit of a pain to manage it all. Honestly it's no stress at all I'm just happy we have the ability to do speed training!

I have the rypstik and will give it a try Monday! I have hit 190 ball speed on the MLM2Pro, and am trying to get to 200. Didn't know they added the speed training!? Thanks from the States!

Wow! That's incredible mate.. 👏 how do you generate that much speed!? Has it always just come naturally to you? I'm so happy Rapsodo added it!

@@JLagGOLF I have always been around the 120mph speed. I'm 6'6" tall (almost 200cm), so I have the leverage lol. I've been using the rypstik for around 6 months about 3 times per week and can now crank it up over 130mph. Now I'll have my speed radar and the MLM2 Pro speed training!

Love the channel and I have the Garmin R10. Is this done with radar and if so any word if Garmin could implement this?
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 месяца назад
Thanks mate! So yes this would be using the radar on the device. Garmin could absolutely do this if they wanted to but it seems like they have almost stopped updating or supporting the R10. We haven't seen an update for about a year now I think. There is a work around where you can do this but it isn't perfect as it's a 3rd party software doing it and not Garmin themselves.. I did a video on it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tyZBdoQR2vI.htmlsi=1QlGFnBr3iUUNCZq

Hi enjoy your content. Thinking of getting a mlm2pro but only have 4m (not full 4.3) for indoor setup. Will the mlm2 still work?
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 месяца назад
Hey mate so you wouldn't essentially have 6.5ft unit to ball and then only 6.5ft for ball to screen.. I definitely wouldn't recommend it as the radar and cameras need time to collect the data especially for the higher ball speeds. I would personally recommend getting a photometric based unit in your situation. Something like a GC2 would be absolutely perfect for you.
@petemajor4454
@petemajor4454 4 месяца назад
@@JLagGOLF Thanks. GC2 is out of my budget. Would also be looking to use on the range. Had another measure and might get 14.5m with garage door open a little. Only be using irons.
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 месяца назад
@@petemajor4454 Yeah I understand that for sure. I will try do some testing over the next few weeks (sorry I can't sooner) like I did with the R10 where I moved my mat up and see if it gets good data. It will be quite interesting actually. But yes if you can get back to 4.5 you are gold!

I’m really interested in starting some speed training and love the idea of the stack system with its own app, but it’s $350 USD where the super speed sticks are $150 USD on sale now. If you had to buy one or the other now is $200 USD worth it for the app?
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 4 месяца назад
Get the super speed sticks! They are great and tbh at least they are the same length as your driver so you get the same feel and it's better for sequencing.

Have you been using the MLM for your speed training? I've got a PRGR and just got an MLM. The MLM seems to register 2-3mph higher than the PRGR. Any idea if Stack are working on an integration with the MLM software to send the data automatically?
@JLagGOLF
@JLagGOLF 3 месяца назад
Hey mate tbh I find the PRGR to be soooo much easier to turn on and do the speed training so I've been sticking with it. That would actually be really cool if Stack did do that! But since they just released their new radar that bluetooth's to your phone I would be surprised if they did.. it would make sense though from a users perspective!

Waste of time IMHO . Driving longer will not get you a lower handicap . Putting it next to the flag when you are chipping ,pitching and putting does . Played golf with so many people who I can put the ball well past . They kick my butt all the time . I have not got the feel around the greens like they do let alone putting . Stay at what ever speed lets you keep it on the fairway . Micah Morris can out drive all of the pros and can't make it on the tour . He has mediocre short game .

I completely agree with the 100y and in! This is where everyone can pick up shots quickly and at all levels and a lot of them. But there is no denying that distance does improve your score. Arccos golf does a lot of data crunching around strokes gained and with driving they said 81% of people that hit it 10 yards further season to season gained strokes. There will of course always be outliers either way.. BOMB it but then make sure you wedge it close and make the putt 😂
@9418matthew
@9418matthew 4 месяца назад
That is true but at top level they are good at 100yds in anyway so aim to drive to that distance. At amateur level I have gained more distance off the tee by working at technique mostly but it makes the game easier if your closer the stats prove that.
@TheMCAids
@TheMCAids 4 месяца назад
150 and in is obviously where you can make to most gains for handicapping purposes, but statistics say you are wrong and my own personal issue is a testament to that. I am a 4 handicap that has the putting of a +4 and the short/mid of a +1. My driver on the other hand plays like a 10 handicap due to the loss swing speed as I got older. I was down to the 98-100 range to start last year and started working on my speed mid August and shaved 3 more stokes by October going back to a consistent 105. Trying to qualify for a Mid-Amateur this year and a 115 club and 160 ball speed with the driver gives me the ability to reach all par 5s in 2 and if that isn't an advantage, I don't know what is.
@bjparker1320
@bjparker1320 4 месяца назад
Not the point. If a person drives the ball farther their score will improve. That is not saying everyone should focus on distance. Most people should focus on technique and short game. If you have a good all around game, speed work should be a part of your practice.
