Happy Wednesday! Here is my short and sweet first ride on a BMW R12 from Bahnstormer my local BMW shop. Sometimes it's nice to show up and ride something unexpected, this was a pleasant surprise. Hope you enjoy it...
Hi Liz Got nothing to say about the bike 🤣😂🤣😂 not my bag really with the engine sticking out like that. One of your friends on Saturday said making comments helps your channel so I’m up for that. Thanks for the piece of birthday piece of birthday cake and hope you had a great day. 😂🤣😂🤣🤗.
I love it, personally I would spend less and have the traditional dials! Bahnstormer offered me a R9t when the GS was being servicing and I could get my legs on the pegs with my winter gear on so maybe the R12 is not for me! Hope the Iceland trip is fantastic
Nice bike! But the digital display doesn't suit a bike like this at all. Why not a round digital display like the one Harley has on the Livewire? My wife also rides a 1250 R, which I think is a very underrated bike. It's a lot more fun than my GS. Thanks for the video!
I bought one! The R12NineT I found very uncomfortable, legs at wrong angle, needs the pegs lowering. Had pain in my shoulders after an hour of riding. The R18 is just a land whale - way to big for small UK back lanes and when I go up the peak district. The R12 is the goldilocks option. Its comfortable (slacken the rear preload as they come from factory fully wound up for freight). First time owning a cruiser style - sportster cruiser - and Im loving the power and torque it has without being a physically large bike. My previous bike was a Yamaha Niken and I got fed up of hauling tall heavy bikes around out of my garage, the R12 is easy to manoeuvre, has 95hp which is plenty, loads of torque to pull anywhere in the range and all of the weight is low down so it is very stable - bit like a Weeble, eager to lean over but it doesnt fall down.
The clocks are so small on that bike!!! I doubt I'd see the speed without glasses 🙃. I'm guessing the feet position is completely different to a sports bike. Thanks for taking us on a ride I'm not sure I'd ever consider having a go on it, good to get your view of it.
