Fish soup looked really good. The stone collection pretty much the highlight of the trip except of course seeing all Santas friends😊 oh and of course that weird cave🫣 I wonder if there would have been much benefit from doing the trip on a small adventure bike allowing access on some easy tracks to get to some even more remote places. Something like a KTM 390?? Iceland certainly a change from the more popular road trip locations. Makes the channel interesting along with all the other diverse content👍 Cheers Liz.
Thanks for your comment! The fish soup was great - can’t go wrong with it. Stone collection will never be forgotten - I can’t believe I thought it was a joke when I saw the sign! My small bike - Svartpilen 401 would be the perfect little all rounder for Iceland but the problem is getting it there - 1000 miles is a long way on a 400 with no aerodynamics and I really love my creature comforts on the RR
13:35 - If you just wanna go where they are going. Well all you need is a skid plate, and something moderately knobby. Adventure is in your soul, not in the bike. So long as you have tyres appropriate for the surface, and your definition of adventure doesn't involve motocross style jumps.
Hi Liz, Just found your channel and watched your latest video, and really enjoyed it, and what some beautiful scenery, look forward to watching some more. I have just subscribed to your channel. Best wishes from Roy 😊. A fellow biker for 50 years and counting.
Thank you for the subscribe! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos - hopefully you’ll continue to enjoy many more, and maybe they’ll inspire your own trips 🥰
@R1_Liz Hi Liz, I have just come back from a 20 day tour of beautiful Scotland, I see you are from Hampshire, I now live in Cornwall but I am born and bred from Southampton. I have just ordered a lavi and ollie sticker and they said you designed and made them, I am impressed. Take care, Best wishes Roy.
@@user-zl6em9ub5t Thanks for your comment! Scotland is absolutely stunning, I've been a few times now and it's always on my list to do again - each time feeling more relaxed and adventurous and enjoying it more. The Lavi and Ollie drawing is one of my favourites - I'm glad you like it and have managed to get a sticker from them!
Wow. Best views so far and bonus rain-deer. Can’t believe your nearly finished your trip what am I going to watch next week now. ?? Come home safe. Enjoy. 🤗🤗😂😂🤣🤣
Liz, I've got to ask the question after watching this series and the Norway one. Is this the trip that has blown you away the most, you seem to be enjoying it so much more ❤
I think both trips are equally impactful as far as scenery and experience goes, Norway was my dream for a long time and was a massive personal achievement, Iceland was a challenge I wanted to take on to prove to myself it could be done. I think I seem to enjoy Iceland more because I have already crossed the hurdle of travelling alone in a new country. Norway was my first time travelling abroad alone and it was a huge distance to do, so I was very stressed out and it was difficult to hide that and definitely came across in my videos. By the time Iceland came around I was over the fear and really chilled out, so all I could do was be happy 😁
