That cop was super unprofessional and had the patience of a 2 year old. The saddest thing is, by Dollar Tree's policy and procedures standards that employee with testicles is 100% wrong. Employees can't: Accuse someone of shoplifting. Ask if a customer has pocketed an item. Call the police for theft. Stop shoplifters. Ask customers to leave a bag near the front. Threaten bodily harm. Make reference to someones race unprovoked. You can't have your phone on your person while working. And you can't carry any weapon (including pepper spray) in to the workplace. That thing should've been fired 10 times over.

They can choose who comes onto the property and who leaves. They wouldn't have that right if it was public.
The man wouldn't follow policy because he is 30 and not 16, all because he was too lazy to read the sign to confirm that he was the one in the wrong. He refused to follow policy, he was told to leave because of it. He is now committing Criminal Trespass and is lucky that he wasn't arrested by the unprofessional police officer. @4:52 They aren't supposed to have anything in front of the entrance doors. It is a fire code violation if they have anything in front of an entrance or exit door. Both doors are to be clear at all times. If there was a fire then people need to be able to get out the door without anything in the way
It was a horrible point, because the scene of the crime can be defined to entail the entire parking lot. In fact, his entire arguement was nonsensical, and he wasted the police's time. The policy isn't racist, it applies to everyone. His store isn't public property, he can kick you out at anytime, and he can stop you from recording him while you're there.
