This is a fascinating reply. As a former convert and recently leaving the LDS church, and listening to Jordan Peterson’s talks on the Gospel, his research into the original definitions and meanings of the words are what have really brought light to my eyes. I see you’re doing the same thing. Can you make a recommendations on where to start that research? I know that the language of a culture is the hypnosis of that culture. It’s one of the reasons LDS people have such a hard time leaving, even when it’s staring them right in the face. When my wife and I were explaining why we were leaving, we offered her the opportunity to look at the data, just data, no anti-mormon information and she chose not to because she has been indoctrinated not to look at ANYTHING that might be different from what “the prophet” has said. Where do you recommend I start?

Agree; no offence intended for byp, it’s just two very different audiences amd styles and those who prefer RFM may not enjoy BYP.

@@TheBackyardProfessor Not at all and I appreciate the response. I don’t think I could ever be offended by anything you say. I’ve enjoyed many of your episodes and have benefited from your knowledge and research. I personally prefer the faster paced speech of some others podcasters (maybe I’ve got a short attention span!) and I enjoy how RFM tends to get a ton of concisely articulated information across very quickly. Others prefer your style, which is amiable and neighborly. The two of you together are just very different styles. And if you’re willing to listen…please, please BYP invest in whatever mic set up RFM uses. Sometimes, from this end, your audio quality is distracting from your wonderful message. I do love you both and thanks for all your work!
