great vid. i have to do this removal today chasing 2 broken wires for the back up camera that ive tracked down to this area. im an experienced tech with my own shop but its nice to see where all the fasteners are instead of potentially making an expensive mistake. ty !!!

I have a 2015 that started leaking recently. Pulled the seats before I watched your video, then took out the back cover. Those dang vents are missing almost all of the little flapper valve thingies! Guess I found my leak source, lol. Thanks for the video, it was a great help.

HE NEEDS TO DO AN IN-DEPTH VIDEO ON CHANGING THE HEATER CORE AND EVAPORATORS ON 3rd and 4th GENERATION DODGE RAMS. It is a common problem for RAM OWBERS.

Wow, considering I got my Laramie for an Express price, I do not need to do this but I do need to remove the dash to fix a heater core issue. What a giant PIA this is and ya have to do AC recovery before you start. Thanks for the Vid John, it sure helps. Now to see if I can get my son to help me remove the dash.........

I have a 2017 rebel with the 5 inch screen from factory, would I still have to install the 8 inch with the new harness or is it plug and play because of the trim level it was from factory? TIA, love the content man. Can't find videos like yours in the same detail and quality anywhere.

Can you gain access to the rear mixing component for heat and air with just removing the pad or would you need to remove the dash frame as well?

Not necessary for the screen you can just change the bezel. Doing this cause it’s much nicer materials than the original plastic one. This one is leather with white stitch

I'm curious if you got the 8.4 Uconnect from a newer Ram (2017 or 2018 up), with Apple Car Play/Android Auto and higher resolution than the earlier models? If so, what other components did you get to make the system work. Also, are you going to install the Alpine Audio system?

I got this 8.4 for $150 with shipping from a 2016 so I can’t complain lol. Would be cool to do the 18+ with CarPlay maybe later but for now this will do. Yes with the new Laramie dash harness we’re adding the center speaker and amplifier as well 💪

@@BoostedMotorsports You need the get the center console USB module to get apple car play/android auto to activate. Once you plug that in, you're set.

Excellent step by step tutorial on complete dash & accessory removal! Having to deal with all those "speed" clips AKA "Jesus Christ" clips can be unnerving and a PITA at times, you make it look super easy! Thanks for another great video!

I have a 2019 Ram Classic with shifting tree. I have a wrecked 2018 Ram Sport with dial shifter. When swapping the harness, dash, cluster and radio screen, will I be able to match everything up with the tree? Should I and can I swap from a tree to a dial?

I learned something here. Before messing with any electronics on a RAM make sure you unhook them battery post. It can short your system electronics.👈🏿

A common problem I found with 4th generation Dodge Rams is that they will burn up a Driver’s side door switch and the usb charging port quick! I would love to see a video on that.

THIS VIDEO WAS OUTSTANDING IN DEMONSTRATING HOW TO REMOVE THE DODGE RAM CONSOLE. I was told by my local Dodge Dealership, years ago, that I could not and they would not change your radio system in my 2014 Dodge Ram. THIS VIDEO JUST PROVED THEM WRONG!
