All the links given for the fluid are not active? I am dealing with something similar but I can't seem to figure it out.. The NOX indicator cam on and then it said DEF dosing error def quality and limiting starts.. Was 250 miles but it just keeps dropping by more than the actual miles. I pulled the read NOX sensor and cleaned it, Pulled the DEF injector and no crystallization blocking the port.. WE are getting way over average fuel performance and it runs super smooth but this is going to hang us by not allowing the car to start.. I have a Icarsoft v3 reader but I can't find a reset on the countdown. No dealers in my town.. Can't force a DPF regain cause it says its to clean to force.. SO frustrated and I can drive my vehicle without fear its going to shutdown.. Its insane

HI mate, I have 2017 Land Rover Discovery with the same issue. throughout last year I did not go on the motorway, now while I driving from Leeds to Dover this month, the sign came up. I did put Wynns Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner from Halford but it did not work although I completed my journey back to Leeds.

You make this look fairly easy. I know this video is old and you may not be looking at these comments any more. However, is there any reason you would recommend a DIY'er not to purchase the OBD tool you are using and do this maintenance themselves vs going to a dealer or shop?

ok first off thank you here in Australia i was quoted $600 dollars for a dpf regen and $400 for a clean and $400 for the pressure sensor to be replaced on my Mercedes Benz w204 c250 cdi . LOL any how i saved all that by watching your excellent videos Also just the part (sensor they wanted $200 dollars ) LOL So i got it sent from German for $73 delivered . now i wanted to know what tool is you use to push the cleaner into the dpf is it just a pressure bottle like that of a weed spray bottle .? thanks for saving me nearly $2000 dollars . The stealerships here in Australia are bad.

Hi jimmy, sorry to bother you, just wondering if you’ve ever come across this before. Mercedes sprinter 2015, DPF was blocked, due to boost leak in inlet manifold, and cylinder 2 glow plug failed, new manifold fitted, DPF cleaned with the trusty launch gun, vehicle booked back in for glow plugs as I was going on holiday and didn’t have time to fit them at that time, however what’s been on the back of my mind, there’s 4 codes for each injector that all read the same just different cylinders: P027254 Teach-in of the operating parameters for Cylinder 1 has a malfunction. Calibration is missing. I’m just wondering would that issue cause the vehicle to stop regenerating on its own. Customer says the van has run better now than it ever has and goes like a bullet just the glow plug light coming and going. Which it’s booked back in for. However I tried coding the injectors and recalibrating them and the fault seemed to always come back no matter what, no EML no limp mode running and driving Fine it’s just in the back of my over thinking mind that this may also cause the DPF to stop regenerating if the injectors are infact just operating outside their parameters and bringing that fault up as a result and it requires new ones fitted. However the balance of each injector was quite normal on live data. Quite a head scratcher. I just don’t want any comebacks. Thanks for your time mate 👍

How long you would you recommend this is carried out? Should this be done as regularly as an MOT or service or only as a when a warning light comes up on the dashboard? How long does this process normally last before you experience this problem again? I’m new to driving a diesel so helpful to know - thank you

Am I correct in saying to code injectors on a range rover tdv8 3.6 you have to go through land rover settings on the autel ?? To code injectors. As range rover doesn't come up . This us my 1st time coding injectors on a range rover as I normally deal with ford's, vauxhalls ,renaults etc.

Hi. Do you prefer cleaning DPFs by filling with cleaner then drive it over actually removing the DPF then clean it outside of the car? I know removing the DPF requires more work. Thank you for the excellent videos! You are a great mechanic. The DPF is very expensive so I don't want to do any damage to it by spraying with water.

Jimmy how do you know which is the inlet and the outlet on the pressure sensor pipes to put the cleaning solution in the dpf

What fluid are you useing to clean the filter mate ?

I’ve got one to do this morning it’s showing 32.7g the snap on machine should allow me to do it, if I put the cleaner in first will the smoke heavily while driving during the dynamic regen??? It’s also in Limp mode? Cheers.
