Steering rack went at 55k, 3 weeks into ownership, then dpf filter 3 days later, was advised throttle body would need replacing. Waiting for the next warning light 😅

D300 VELARS are TIMING BELT not chain , wait for a rattle and your engine is gone :) People are not aware of this and dont change them in time and just worsen the brands reputation

Hey guys, need some advice. Just bought an velar 2017 p250 63k km at 56 the cam belts have been changed bcs rattle so that should be sorted. What are service intervals and when to service the transmission? Please advice me as im new to LR. :) Ofcourse will ask when i pick it up at delivery but just looking ahead. kind of scared because of all the negativity about thes e cars, but also very excited to pick it up hah. Ive seen enough 2017 p250s on the internet with 150k km's so i have no idea.

Hey congrats on the purchase. I hope you love it :) According to the dealer, it's 16,000 miles or 1 year whichever is soonest for servicing. For the trans ZF recommends fluid change at around 70K I believe. Fingers crossed you have got a decent one. There are loads of people who haven’t had any problems with these cars. @@CarChatTV driving it for 2 weeks now! Absolutely in love, 2017 65k kms now, car looks brand new always sat inside looks like it. Everything works great no faults at all, infotainment no probs. SO HAPPY!!!! :)

@@jakebrice3280 ran 10.000km so far, had cel with pointing to timing, but went off by itself again. no trouble with the engine running. Gonna let it checked out anyway under warranty. Absolutely in love with the car.

If the car key isn’t in a faraday pouch and close to you front door then thief’s can get the signal easy. You can turn off keyless entry. You can see how in our stop thief’s video. This was one of the top stolen cars in the UK last year! Thanks for the comment
