@@Buggy_DClown I actually disagree here😬 marineford had some great scenes, but in the anime half of it was just Luffy running back and forth... Buggy saved the day with some comical moments and the fightings were amazing, but I feel like alabasta was more diverse
@@shuhei9571 yes that's true 😂 I started reading the manga around dressrosa, and I have to say that it's 100% better. Sure, the anime visuals are great, but they need to fill a lot to keep a fair distance with the manga
Thriller Bark is such a great setup for Sabody, showing the crew in their stride and making them feel almost invincible, only to be completely unprepared and utterly demolished. This leads into the next couple arcs hammering in that Luffy can't just continue on and hope things work out.
@@theokhatter8803 I'm sorry but I don't think that makes any sense... You only find out that Pell is alive immediately in the anime, in the manga it wasn't known for years... Plus other characters were allowed to die and be harmed in that arc so idk why Pell would be the exception
Whole cake deserves N 1 in my opinion, sanji's backstory, the emotional clash between luffy and sanji, we got introduced to 2 new gear 4 variations and the luffy vs katakuri fight. Idk about u guys but whole cake island is the best arc in my opinion to this day
I know it's definitely just recency bias, but yeah I just finished Whole Cake yesterday and it was fucking phenomenal Wano so far has been incredible as well, the art is gorgeous -v-
@@BlastOnTopBETTER THAN THILLER BARK AND arlong park you kidding me arlong park is emotin YOU CAN SAY FISHMAN ISLAND BETTER THAN THIS NAW BRO AND THILLER BARK IS important tho it's GOOD NOT BAD BRO
zoro in thriller bark was amazing. brooks backstory and him introducing us to one of my favorite peak piece songs. kuma showing up was also pretty good. sanji against that invisible fruit nigga was funny ash
Alabasta had awful pacing and Vivi as a character was only compelling towards the absolute end. Not to mention it had some of the weakest fights in the series imo. I mean Ussop vs mr 4 was just a whole heap of nonsense where ussop and chopper easily tanked nuclear explosions but got bodied by brick walls. I think Alabasta was the definition of a mid one piece arc.
@@desirredd as well as marineford either wano, wci isn't perfect, it has it's moments, but it's definitely an amazing arc. Great Plot, Original Plot as well, Perfect Pace, villain well made (BM such a great villain in WCI, Kata Better but Big Mom is great Villag) Great fights. It has everything i need for an arc to be good.
@@desirreddfrrr probably the most overrated and half of the straw hats aren’t even there for some dumbass reason when they did nothing while they waited for luffy 🤦♂️
Whole cake >> Arlong park and arguably marineford Better writing Better emotions Better characters Better antagonists Better fights Better character development Better drip for Strawhats Marineford without all the build up from previous arcs is not the best while whole cake stands on its own without any previous build up Sabaody, Amazon lily, impel down made marineford far greater These arcs created the hype for marineford Sabaody increased the power scaling to give us a Idea of how much stronger the characters at marineford are Amazon lily showed us the coc haki that made fans wonder how many characters have it and it also showed us the importance of a warlord Impel down showed us the bond between Ace and Luffy and also bon clays sacrifice which made losing the war an unthinkable outcome If you think marineford is the best arc then you should give respect to these Arcs too
FS my boy is my top favorite arcs and BC is everything i need from an arc. Great Backstories✔️ Great Character development✔️ Great Villain✔️ Great Fight✔️ Mafia✔️ Creative environment✔️ Soul Pocus✔️ One of the best Final Chapters of an arc✔️ Big mom not being nerfed✔️ Brook Vs Big mom✔️ Germa 66✔️ Pedro's sacrifice😢✔️ First time Seeing Sulong✔️ Jimbei Actually Joining the straw hats✔️( he technically joined in wano But he claimed luffy as his Captain In WCI) Love WCI so underrated arc sometimes
Thriller bark was crazy; reanimated Corpses of Rocks pirates hanging out, the fuckin wano sword god, zoro giving him like the best weapons hes had ever, the big mom vivre card was given to nami like it took so long to finally see big mom but all the way back then you were like "ok shes gotta be a big deal right?" Not as much like crazy action but a lot of stuff that gets recontextualized later on which made it great ALSO BROOK
Just because it correlates with the current manga doesn’t make it good😂 literally everyone said the same about skypiea when they seen roger go there…both arcs were mid
@@dreamzoe957 How do you think alabasta is mid yet enjoy literally the rest of one piece lmao, if you just like people punching eachother then one piece isnt for you
Water Seven better than Marineford? Acceptable 👍, Enies Lobby better than Marineford? HARD disagree, but respect. Now, WANO ABOVE MARINEFORD? Wut da heeeeeeeeeeeeeeel Oooh maa gaaaad No waaayyaayyaaaaae 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Fishmen Island probably deserves to be higher then Thriller Bark. The Nothing Happened moment was the only reallly enjoyable moment of that arc for me.
Gecko Moria was one of the worse main villians of the whole series. The entire arc up until Kuma showed up was boring and not very suspenseful. From the moment it started I couldn’t wait for it to be over. The last few episodes with Kuma and the nothing happened moment was what carried the arc. Without Kuma it would easily be the worst arc for me
I'm almost done with the Albasta Arc and it has been my favorite arc so far. Like you said from the writing to the emotion, it deserves a #1 on your list.
bro thriller bark is so underrated.they got new crew, Zoro gets new sword, good villan (2 warlord showed up) , good fight + luffy got new mode WTF DO U MAN NITHING HAPPEN
Perfect list 😤 I do think fishman Island is slept on though just cause it had a lackluster villain but it’s actually an incredibly nuanced commentary on racism.
Tbh my favorite arc is enies lobby. May be controversial, but it's one of my favorites because of the gears unlocking, the fact that its a very wiggly emotion rollercoaster, SOGEKING, and just spandam suffering makes it 100000/10
1: Water 7 2: Alabasta 3: Wano 4: Skypiea 5: Arlong Park 6: Whole Cake Island 7: Baratie 8: Zou 9: Romance Dawn Whisky Peak and Drum Island are a part of Arabasta arc according to this one One Piece game I found
Typical redittors marineford was absolute dog it was one of the most boring arcs and had no backstory, the best parts of arcs are backstory and it had none. Impel down carried marine ford
Alabasta is definitely debatable for 1st on this list, marineford just hit different. Kinda bias cuz I ended up watching it all without any spoilers. From aces death to mihawk realizing Luffys true power. Fire ass moments in that arc
Thriller bark is one of my all time favorite pretimeskip arcs. Ryuma, oars, nightmare luffy, nothing happened, usopps depression, the first yohohohohohoho.
I still dint get why people hate fishman island bro... The fight was lit and the red hawk reveal too pkus the taking down of hundreds of thousand of enemies...
You said it Nothing happen in the thriller bark arc.. We found new member and one of the best songs of OP.. and connection of laboon with brook.. We saw Usoop defeating someone without any other members help..
Arabasta definitely deserves that spot. Marineford is good but it still is kind of a letdown that admirals don't even bother to show their true potential or that after half of WB crew sacrificed for Ace he somehow managed to get himself killed for a joe dada joke.
Only a few things happened in Thriller Bark 1. Brooke joining was probably the most important 2. Nothing happened moment was cool and showed Zoros loyalty to luffy 3. Moria just being introduced as a warlord and also just kinda being there was definitely important 4. First intro of Kumas character was very important show casing his fruit and showing not all warlords are weak like Crocodile and Moria. 5. Nightmare Luffy was cool but it was a one time form and wasn’t very interesting. 6. The Little Oars junior fight vs Strawhats was funny and entertaining! 7. Perona existing. Other than that there isn’t anything special about Thriller Bark. Also for a 45 episode arc, I would estimate there were less than 25 good moments which is utterly disappointing. I’m gonna say it, I enjoyed Syrup Village. Out of all the arcs, it ranks among the top 5 worst.
Honestly agreed but I would've put alabasta at 4 and whole cake 1 there. Sanji backstory was wild and the katakuri fight is probably my favorite in the serious
I think alabasta could be at 3 or 4 but me personally I couldnt really deal with how long it took when I watched it, maybe I was still getting used to one piece paceing . I in wano when I finished I’m planning to rewatch alabasta to see vivi again :))
I don’t understand why no one rlly liked fishman island like it was pretty good and it had its peak moments like luffy knocking out 50000 men plus it’s backing up arlong park events explaining why arlong hates humans ect. So why do people not like fishman island ?
