Actually the area that has no name, does have a name. When you look in the records on the 3Ds version, the area is called Beanbean fields.

I can't think of a favorite right now but I want to say that I loved how the Hoohoo Village looked. The way that the houses were perched on a log bridge in front of a large waterfall, and this is where you first meet the Hammerhead Bros, who I found to be enjoyable characters. The way that inside every house there was a large hole in the back revealing the waterfall behind them was interesting as well.

I think the dislike for TeeHee Valley comes from the original M&L. The enemies here don't affect peach, she gets kidnapped if she is off screen for a millisecond (the GBA screen was a whole lot smaller giving you a much smaller margin for error)

Bowser's castle and Joke's End are my favourites areas too but I think that Bowser's castle is a bit better. Great ranking btw

It's probably just me but I always found woohoo hooniversity to be unsettling. But for me that's what makes it more fun.

Woohoo Hooniversity is my favorite area for a lot of reasons: it has the most visual variety of any of the areas (with the observatory being one of the best looking areas in the game), references to both Dr. Mario & Donkey Kong as well as the blocks from past Mario games, two of the best bosses in the game and the idea of fighting and beating the main villain in a fight that actually matters halfway through the game is cool. Plus its the closest we got to a Cackletta-themed area, since the other one is Bowser's Castle and I feel the Koopalings and everything being 100% Bowser-themed takes away a bit of her presence (sure it is Bowser's castle, but Fawful remodeled Peach's Castle).

Great video and this as mentioned before is my fave Mario and Luigi game and my fave area is chucklehuck woods with jokes end being second I love jokes end. Glad I’m not alone.

Great list! Honestly I find Gwarhar Lagoon to be mediocre myself so if there is a general consensus I feel like it’s somewhere around there based on general interactions I’ve had/seen. It’s a shame, I usually love beach/ocean settings

I quite liked Chucklehuck woods cos of popple and rookie and the chuckolator. it just has a lot of charm to it imo. I wasn't at all a big fan of the hooniversity as I just found it too unsettling. Like cackletta turns these students into those weird looking shy guys, the weird dudes who throw balls at you and the viruses? Joke's end was rly good too cos I liked the puzzles there, had to look up the one where u have to use water mario and the tornado lol

It makes me very sad about Gwarhar lagoon. It is my favorite area in Superstar Saga. I loved the length and enemies and especially the looks and how it has no tutorials, except that one that's not that bad. But I will admit I dont like Hermie III but I LOVE this area. Also I love Teehee valley, I thought I would just say that. Honestly I love every area. I guess my least favorite is Oho Oasis.

I'm pretty sure that the official name, "Beanbean Outskirts", appears somewhere in the game. But maybe it was in a save album in the GBA version.

Wow, the priorities for our preferences are super different lol Superstar saga is one of my least favourite games in the series because of all the really long areas with very little story in them, like Woo Hoo Hooniversity, Joke's end, and... Ugh... Bowser's castle... I really liked Stardust fields because of the fun characters, interesting and appealing environment, and good music. But I absolutely DETEST the Beanbean castle grounds because firstly, I always got lost and couldn't find all the important stuff that you need to find there, it honestly made me give up on my playthroughs a couple times because I couldn't be bothered to search anymore. But that wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the second thing, the heckin Lakipeas hunt you relentlessly, constantly getting me into battles I didn't want to fight. Sworms are annoying too. Though the remake that I haven't played much of does have a map screen and markers you can put on it to mark important areas, so it probably won't be so bad in the new version.

Yeah I really like Joke's End in a similar regard I like OOT Water Temple. Complex puzzles with interesting atmosphere will always get me. I'm also pretty patient with annoyingly long segments so overall, subjective but I do think Joke's End is really fun.

The areas are one of my favorite parts of SSS. And I heard that Joke's End was worse in the original. Have you listened to it's music? It's fine for a small area, but for a large area it's really bad. And what are you going to do with the streams with your face in them now?

I totally understand why people hate the original jokes end. The music from the gba version of that stage was awful. Like, really quite poor. So much so you couldn’t really hear half of the tune. The remake in the other hand, much more tolerable, and for some, even enjoyable. But the original, that’s a big dungeon. It’s a loooong time listening to “dew di dew, dew Di dew, dew Di dew Di dew Di dew” over and over again

I mean, it has a very annoying Thunderhand puzzle.(this one right there in the footage) I like the enemies(i mean, normal enemies just make M and L games for me so i will like these ones as well). It also has time limit puzzles which are annoying as well. I just hate puzzles in this.

Oh my, I really don’t like stardust plains, and there is one very simple reason… the music. It’s not exactly the best composition to start with, and it just loops… so… many… times. One loop has the same tune twice, with just a minor addition in the second half… oh it hurts me. I actually had to turn the volume off last time I played through it, it was that painful to me.
