This is damn near exactly how I would rank these weapons also. Awesome vid, turok was a staple of my childhood and still play it well into my 30s, cant wait for your turok 2 rankings
I want to say you are absolutely wrong about the knife as I played on Normal difficulty, the knife is wonderful that isn't most dinos or bosses. The knife is amazing especially even against hte robot enemies. In most older games, the melee weapon is that "high risk, moderate reward" or a punishing weapon for whenever you run out of ammo, but I have yet to play a turok game with a bad melee weapon, IE 3. Edit: Ok like a dunce, I replayed Turok and there is no difficulty select.
I rank auto shotgun and pulse rifle higher than grenade launcher and missile. Reason is the self damage the aoe does and how much less ammo you get. I would also put fusion and chrono basically at C or B tier simply because of how rarely you use them. Good video tho. I didnt know that the bow and the shockwave worked like this!
Good list! Sucks about the Alien Weapon but it unfortunately does make sense and I expected it to be at or near the bottom along with the shotgun. Also, never knew the Particle Accelerator had no effect on bosses. Lame!
The cronoscepter didn't work on the final boss when I used it against him,amatter of fact he was emune to all plasma weapons,I had to beat him with the shotgun,assault rifle,and chain gun
How did I NOT think of that! Although I did criticize the weapons in Turok: Evolution in my review and gave each one a rating, I might do the same for T3. I do have some complaints about the arsenal in T3. For example, I really don't see the reason for having 3 Cerebral Bores in that game and not a single laser/plasma gun. That's what always bugged me about T3, but the arsenal was okay overall. Personally Evolution had the weakest arsenal in the series, no weapon really stood out. Everybody knows the MAG-60.
Cool ranking! Actually, I agree, but I would give the auto-shotgun higher because of its versatility, and the alien weapon, slightly higher because of its cool design and firing mode, but I agree that unfortunately it is a weak weapon.
Big time agree with the lame Alien Weapon. What a waste of space that deserves the bottom place on any list. The only good thing about it is it's a source of energy ammo and nothing more. On anything other than easy you spend 20-30% of your energy just to kill basic shit. It's like the Goldeneye Klobb of Turok.
