1984 had multiple Christmas themed horror films, from Britain, there was ‘Don’t Open Till Christmas’, which was originally directed by Edmund Purdom (which he also stars), but numerous changes of directors (eventually going back to Purdom), and writers, lead to the film’s suffered story, editing, and pacing, and was panned by critics. The acting has also been criticized. It has not gained any kind of cult status.
