@@suraj278 There are people with much more better flows, and lyrics. He has good songs but he isn't by any means the freddie mercury. Eminem doesn't come close to tech 9's flow, or even twista. Their whole thing is that they're fast rappers. J cole is on par with eminem, and so is joyner. Hell eminem himself said that tupac was a better lyricist than him. Slick rick is one of the real influencers of rap that goes unrecognized
@@atmoranskies when em said that about Tupac, it was when he just recently blew up, ofc he couldn't have said otherwise, that was true at that point in time. But most of the people will agree that eminems wordplay and vocabulary are better than any other rappers.
Yeah, Ems songs are tough to take in without some context. He references a lot of things that happened in his life, beefs with other people, rap history, his other work, etc etc.
hahaha... eminem has not 1% of the talent from 2pac...!!! and he died with 25... if he had the time from eminem, he would have been the president and not obama... and by the way, a by far better one...
No offense to Biggie, Pac, Pun, and so many other legends of HipHop... but very few can match the complexity of Em's bar structure and NOBODY can match his wordplay and layered meanings. The man is lyrically a genius.
K1NG I025 each one of those rappers life/careers ended early so we don’t know what they would have accomplish. Not taking anything away from Em he is the great but he has a longer career than any of those rappers
The content in this song is, in my opinion, a musical history lesson. In the hook he says, "who's arms long enough to slap box?" Which is a nod to a black 70s play called Arms Too Short To Box With God. Later to JJ Fad. IJS
If you listened to something like Eminem's "8 Mile Road" I think you'd understand it, and be able to appreciate his ability to tell a story. He's just showing off here :D
Brilliant reaction guys, deserved a like. May I suggest "The way I am" for your next one on him? It's essential listening, and a lot slower than his newer stuff.
@Metalhead Reactions ....FUN FACT:Eminem got put in the Guinness Book Of World Records, for most words in a song with Rap God!!Eminem's Rap God is the holder of this record, with Marshall Mathers working his way through 1,560 words in 6'04”, at an average of 4.28 words per second.
Ikr, I know 60 and 70 year olds who've heard this before them lol, to me it's hard not to be a fan of Eminem he's just so masterful and versatile with his rapping so every time I hear someone say they don't like him I think they are just jealous that their favorite rapper is not as good lol.
As a sidenote. No you are not catching almost all. You are missing ALOT of the wordplay and hidden meanings. Hells no one can catch everything the first listen.. Or even the 10th..
Ok guys. . the man with the cap may not get every word of the track and your video may not be flashy or exaggeration of the fact but you guys react real .. your reactions are real .. that's why I liked it
😂 the dragon force of rap!! Thats an epic comparison! I always wanted to find a reaction from a metal head to rap cause it seems all the other ones are the opposite. Im a metal head and found a new channel to binge. New sub!
I like Jill. Seems like she's enjoying it! I think you guys should try finding something with a flow you enjoy and lyrics that speak to you in some way. A fast flow is always impressive. But other flows can be melodic and enjoyable, but slower. Those are easier to understand the message on the first listen. I think you'd get more enjoyment if you listened to the words and chose songs with really great beats and backing tracks so you can focus on what the artist is saying. That is what lyricism is about. That is the purpose of rap. It's poetry. Real rappers take such pride in their writing and it's a shame that you aren't actually hearing the message. *No love. Eminem ft. Lil Wayne*
The fact that it’s so much to take in the first listen is why I love Eminem, because I have to listen to it 20 times before I get the whole story giving every song replay value to the 10x
I noticed that you keep wondering what there is to like about rap... and for me there's really two major sides to that. One is simply the way it sounds and the other is the lyrical content. Eminem is a wordsmith that will hide double and even triple entendres in almost all his songs. In a way it's like poetry combined with fitting a puzzle of rhyming melody together. (example in rap god: You're witnessing a mass-occur/massacre like you're watching a church gathering take place)
Every time I watch a rap video I watch a lyric version of it too (first unless it's too new) so I can see all the bars. It helps me out so much. I feel what you two are going through trying to "catch" everything with one listen. And I've been listening to rap since the Run-DMC days too. But this problem doesn't only extend to rap. I remember having to pull the cover out of Slayer albums among other speed metal bands and reading that tiny as$ print( cassette tapes) with the lyrics while I listened to the song to understand them. It's amazing how perfectly clear they are when you know what they're saying!
Came across this channel and love these 2! Fantastic cuz as a rap guy, I often wonder what the masses think of rap, especially with the particular source in this case. The Dragonforce reference is amazing.... I'm black guy who knows that.... Thank you Guitar hero. I love this dynamic exists in todays world.
Love watching you guys react to music I’ve loved and enjoyed since I first heard Tupac and Bone Thugs back in middle school damn I’m getting old lol anyways keep up the good work I’m subscribed
Suggested Eminem songs to react to (If you haven't already): My Name Is Stan Kim Criminal Kill You The Way I Am Sing For Moment Lose Youself 'Till I Collapse Insane Soacebouns No Love Speedom Best Friend Walk On Water Castle Arose Offended Chloraseptic Remix Caterpillar Majesty The Ringer Greatest Lucky You Not Alike Fall Killshot Homicide
Em has 10 Guinness World Record titles and literally brought battle rap mainstream, he has 4 diamond albums/songs, 100m+ albums sold, and the only one to have 7 albums reach over 1b streams each-this man is hands down a legend and one of the G.O.A.T.S of rap
Don’t pay attention to others about you not catching the bars. I’ve listened to rap almost since I was 4 not consistently but even towards my teenage years when I first started to listen to it it was hard catch what they were saying when they rap fast and it took a while for my ears to be able to adjust to it but you get used it eventually
If you like fast rap listen to some other eminem's song (most are really recently released): - Nicki Minaj ft. Eminem - Majesty ( I believe that there's the fastest part in here ) - Eminem - Offended - Tech N9ne & Krizz Kaliko ft. Eminem - Speedom - Eminem ft. Joyner Lucas - Lucky you - Eminem ft. Royce Da 5'9'' - Not Alike
Rap God is only a warm up try his other songs like Till I Collapse, Killshot, The Ringer, Fall, Lucky You, and other songs in his name. I'm a metalhead same as fan of lyrical rap by Eminem
