@@perinestor2717 in India 70% tracks are electrified. It literally physically can't happen now. Won't deny though that this wasn't the case maybe 15-20 yrs ago. From 2000's there has been a boom in this sector.
If poor people need rides why don’t someone suggest the goverment add a double decker for free rides as this help worker and would not cost much and trains don’t care about weight. Win /win help poor people morals too.
One thing i have noticed with the Indian Railways is their locomotives run without their headlights illuminated during daylight hours, the fact that there seems to be a whole lot more train movements, than are found in most other countries, one has to question the habit off non head lit locomotives, from a safety point of view. There are two kinds of headlights in an Indian broad gauge locomotive, a headlight light and a flasher. Headlights are only used during night and fog. Flasher is used during danger, like storms, downpour or when the headlight is bust. Indian trains rely on audible cues than visible one, like whistling on curves, level crossing, crowded areas and busy stations. Also might be something to do with sunny weather and lower average speeds of trakns compared to other countries that too are heavily dependent on trains which makes headlights rather useless. I am sure that is going to change once speeds cross 200 kmph.

The cows and chickens travel inside. That way the train carriages don't start to smell of curry and diarrhoea and are easier to clean after the journey.
